You have all rights to be unhappy with results.

1 and 2 are awesome options. Dr Wong excels at crown work. Never heard of Bolton though. Are you on finasteride? Who did your first surgery? Your hairline looks decent, how old are you?
Thank you for the feedback.
I am 33, losing hair for last 12 years. My hair loss is in the mid-section and crown only. I had first surgery 2 years ago with Richard S. Keller, but not happy with results and disappointed with the fact that he is Coalition doctor. I was on finasteride 10 years ago but decided to quit after 6 months.

Dr. Wong does some of the best crown work in the world, I'd likely consider him over Konior for this specific case on basis of the types of results they produce, especially considering Konior's extensive waiting list I'd say its a no-brainer.
Got to be the funniest list of options I've ever read though. One of the most highly regarded (probably most in the US) and meticulous surgeons in the world, an industry pioneer and the most referred to speciality crown surgeon globally, and then the dude who gets his license suspended for claiming he is Jesus Christ and attacking a patient.
Thanks for the feedback.

This seems like a troll? Bolton.. Really? 😂
Actually I know guy who had surgery with him and he got good results, better than mine. Of course after reading the article above I am not considering him anymore.

thank you for the feedback. Dr Bolton is based in Florida. Nor recommended on this site. I have just received email from Dr Konior, he is booked until May 2020. He is still my option #1. This time I will wait. For my HT #I I did not and made huge mistake. I am waiting on response from other 2 doctors.

I had failed FUT HT and I am planning to have a second surgery(FUT). I live in Chicago but willing to travel.
Currently I am planning to have consultation with:
1. Raymond Konior
2. Hasson & Wong
3. Brett Bolton
I would like to hear your opinion on how many grafts I will need for decent density and will my scar from second surgery be wider.

Any feedback from Dr. Soni? There are some alarming posts about his work and he is still recommended on this forum.

I think we need to find another way to say “illusion of density”. Density is not a definitive number. Density can be 100 grafts/cm2 and density can be 40 grafts/cm2 and it can be 5 grafts/cm2. All have different appearances.
The illusion of density is not quantifiable. Therefore, saying the hair transplant is an illusion of density, is not right. A hair transplant is adding hair follicles to create density. There is no illusion. There are density numbers that are more admirable and visually appealing (taking into account hair characteristics) than others that make some transplants stand out more than others.
If you’re going to keep saying hair transplants are an illusion of density, please change it to “hair transplants are an illusion of 100grafts/cm2 density”.
Amen. And will your illusion be 60grafts/cm2 or 20grafts/cm2 depends of area you have to cover and also of percentage of grafts that survived(surgeon skills). I think that surgeons should not do HT if they now your density will be less that 20grafts/cm2, if they are not money greedy and unethical. Also, sometimes surgeons give false promises and are reason of unrealistic expectations.

This is not illusion. This is called a good result.

I believe the clinic is actually local for me because I see their billboards all the time. Here you go.

Civas is $5-6 CAD graft. That's not budget. A few of the others don't even have results posted. A simple Google search weeds out a few others.
Guys. If you read this thread...PLEASE do a detailed Google search, plus meet patients in person. PLEASE. Don't risk it. It's a one shot deal...get it wrong and your donor is shot. Then you're forced to live with a shitty result for the result of your life. Meet patients in person. Don't trust photos, even videos can be misleading. Meet patients in person.
100% agree. Don't trust photos.

Dude , u r just setting urself up for failures all day . U too panicky and make bad decisions without researching or having knowledge about things .. there is no way u makin six figures .. as most of the things u say is exaggerated .. so I highly doubt that. .. there is no way u be able to shave ur head bald . U got 4000 randomly placed hairs all over ur head .. when u shave those hairs down .. there will be bumps . N some scarring .. u just don’t notice it as much when there is hair there .. u could do a buzzcut though ..
it’s obvious what ur solution is .. get another transplant to specifically target the crown .. durrr
I agree 100%. Your best option is to do another HT with some of top doctors.

Please provide more pictures and prove that you are real patient and not paid by FUT clinic to promote FUE over FUT. I agree that these scars looks bad.

How wide is your scar? Shaving is not good option, although SMP will help

Chicago,
I can see your concerns and the lack of density in parts of the transplanted area. I noticed you don't take any medications, do you think it could be possible your hair loss continued even with 3000+ grafts? Did you experience any shock loss?
In terms of getting a refund you should speak to Dr. Keller personally and see if he can do something for you as it's a tough situation.
I think I have experienced shock loss in the mid scalp.

Hi All,
I had a HT 2 years ago with Dr Richard S Keller. I am not happy with results and he gave me a lot of false promises that did not happen. At 4 months visit he said I will have poster results, at 7 months that my density will double, but none of this happen. Also, he posted my results on this forum but his post was misleading and not showing real result. Due to all of these factors I am planning to ask him for refund. I would like to hear your opinion.

12 -18 months:

I've lost a ton of hair. I just have good wavy, thick hair texture so it looks better than it really is
as a teenager, I had a giant nest of hair that looked like a white afro
Just post pictures so other members can get involved

I think this is what all the hair restoration clinics do
in reality, unless you're a NW3 with good density, hair restoration surgeries just don't seem to give you much. If you have a significant crown situation, forget about it. You'll never have good looking hair
I don't know how much longer we will be tortured by this until we can have hair restoration with the 20,000 grafts that we need to have proper hair
Your hair loss was less than mine and with 4k you definitely should have a better result. But it is still early, you have to wait 16 months since it is crown.

I do not think it fair to say that all clinics are doing that. Also, it is fact that you cannot have density as before. It will be useful for this community if you post your pictures so we can compare Dr Keller's pictures and yours. I hope that moderators will do something about doctors who are posting misleading pictures. I am planning to see Dr Keller next month and ask him for refund. He gave me a lot of promises that did not happen. I am planning to have 2nd surgery, but not with him for sure.
Please share your experience where you were able to obtain 3000+ grafts from a second or third FUT.

1. Has anyone had multiple sessions with at least two of them being 3000+ grafts via FUT?
2560
2. Who was the surgeon?
Dr Wong
3. Was a single scar used?
Yes
4. Did the scar stretch as a result of multiple sessions?
New scar looks better than old.
5. How was your laxity just prior to the second large FUT, did stretches help or there was no need?
My laxity was about average. I was doing scalp exercises prior surgery for about 2 months.
6. Any recommendations of a surgeon who would be able to get a large number of grafts from a second session?
Dr Wong is great. Also, I would recommend Hasson and Konior.
