Didn't know about that. That is a bit weird, although interesting read nevertheless.

Thanks for sharing, and good luck with your HT.

Thanks. It's important for people to know that as alot of people say different things in this forum and that memo pretty much ends any speculation. As long as a clinic consistently produces natural results then it doesn't matter how many patients a day they have although of course if you start to scale up at some point quality can be compromised.

Very good result, patient need another barber though :D

In their defense, plenty of patients will either be:

1-Not interested to give them their pictures after the surgery.  can be  good or bad results.

2-Patients will want to keep their privacy and not interested to see their head posted in the clinics page.

Asmed has one of the most posted results by any clinic, whether it is by patients, their website or here.

Many of the results are wonderful, but there are some unpleasant results too btw. It gives you clear indication of what you are getting.

PS: is 6 patients per day a true number? that is a lot

Yes I went there in October they told me 6. In fact it's more than 6 now as he has hired 2 new surgeons. He him self sent a memo out to everyone on this forum explaining what is going on. I have linked this post below.go to post on Jan 8. From everything I have observed before and after my surgery it's always better to see results posted by patients .. they are your  average results because clinics will always post their best results.

Indeed , the lighting is too dark  compared to the good pictures they took at the clinic .

The patient doesn't have a good studio .

It makes the comparison hard to tell especially when it comes to density .I feel like the hair line looks a little bit pluggy too .

We need a better light resolution to check it .Overall , good gain .

Dr mwamba its good to have a real expert's opinion on here. Do you usually have to remove the pluggy grafts? Or if there is scope for lowering the hair line- just create a slightly lower and more natural hairline and camouflage the pluggy grafts ?

I had my surgery with Asmed in 2017 (2500 in frontal third, 1500 in crown) and very happy with my result. I was thinking of going back as I was told at the time 1500 wouldn't be enough for my crown and Dr Erdogan was right and I could go in for another surgery. My frontal third I am delighted with... but seeing these new updates makes me worry and having second thoughts about returning.

I know Erdogan changed his method to something called KEEP method of transplanting the hairs and not sure if that is affecting some of the latest results?

Another thing (I knew this before I went) but the more I understand now makes me worry is that they do 3 or 4 surgeries a day. I don't blame them as they are a business at the end of the day and want to make money but there is a balance between making money and ensuring you provide all your patients the best possible treatment and outcome. I don't know if I was 'fortunate' but Dr Erdogan himself spent about 30mins doing extractions on me... Really the doctor should be more involved and although Erdogan does the consultation with you and draws the hairline, after that he creates the incisions and that's all.

Also as they operate on 3-4 people a day, that's a lot and say they do 1000 people a year, they are bound to be a small percentage who get bad result due to whatever circumstance but it's very disheartening if you are one of them and feel full sympathy as for a lot of guys it's a lot of money and takes big courage to do it.

I went there in October. They do a maximum of 6 patients a day. Now dr Erdogan does his max of 6 in the new clinic and his new doctors do another 2 patients. Dr Erdogan himself sent a memo out to everyone here on the forum explaining all this a couple of months back.

Below is the link to the thread. If you go to Melvins post on Jan 8 he pasted an email he received from Dr Erdogan.

    Guys,

This discussion is totally off-topic. This thread is for Payam and his results. If you guys have personal disagreements. You guys can PM eachother or me, but let’s keep this thread on topic and no longer de-rail it with side conversations.

    Thanks for your cooperation-Melvin

Noted Melvin no problem. I couldn't not reply back to Steven when he posted on here and then of course it just goes on and on. Let's get back to Payum

He didn't have much choice if he wanted it fixed now. They refused a refund and I imagine agreed to fix it for free. You can have your own opinion but discussing a member's mental health outside of his own thread is pretty poor form and I think you should drop it.

He had every right to complain the first time, as will he the second time if he is not happy.

He did have a choice we all have a choice. If this messes up like the previous one at the same damn place he may not be able to repair it and if he went through the right channels he would have got a partial refund (again we are not aware if he was refused refund). We call the shots right up to the point of sitting In that chair no one hasto go through with it just because they refused a refund. The pain and paranoia of the post op would be greatly reduced if you don't go back( to some one who he described as a disaster result) and go to someone of a higher standard-yes more money but it'll be worth it. Thats not to say asmed is a really bad clinic because it's not but to go back to any clinic where you've had a disaster as he describes just defies logic.

Ok so from this you came to the conclusion I’ve have mental issues and OCD?

Please think before you post, people who do have mental health issues would take offence to your negative comments based on your opinion.

I don’t have to explain my reasons behind it to you, clearly you’re fixed on your opinions and I’m not gonna waste my time trying to change it.

I commented on your mental status. Some people have serious ocd and whilst your result wasn't fantastic you have to realise no transplant will ever create the illusion of density that the hair fibres you put in do. If anyone saw all your YouTube videos your personality screams "not a candidate for a hair transplant." But what's done is done let's hope you do have a good result but please do not rant and rave about it if it's a "disaster" as you say again, you went back to a place whom you wernt happy with it all. Once you've had the experience you say you had, just like any service or product why would anyone in their right mind go back? I'm sure they took extra care this time but let's see.

  10. 11 minutes ago, PlanetStephen said:

Normally don’t read these negative comments but since this has been sent me on Instagram like 5 times I thought I’d reply.

What mental status? I don’t think its unrealistic to expect the results the clinic promote on their website. I said from the start I was over promised and under delivered. 90% of people agree with me. The people who don’t have had a bad hair transplant them self, are associated with the clinic in some way or are just plain bitter.

Anyone with a good set of eyes could see my first transplant was a dissaster. If it wasn’t the clinic wouldn’t agree to fix it.

Not disputing that it lacks density but to go back there after all that? You Just said it was a disaster (which it isnt) but it's not great either but then from that experience to go back to the same clinic is completely ridiculous if this is a disaster as you say again.. then you really shouldn't post about it and you'll have only your self to blame as there are bad clinics out there (not that asmed is that bad) and to go back there was crazy. It's not like you complained about something minor which could be dealt with very easily by going back there. You were seriously angry at the result and experience .

  11. Payum

I feel for you however just remember this is not a complete disaster. The donor is probably well intact and angles seem fine. It's a question of adding density yes it's still unacceptable density but trust me when I tell you if you go to the real top guns who really care for the patient and attention to detail is second to none and spend the whole time with 1 patient , then although still nothing is guaranteed - at least you give yourself the best possible chance of a good result. This next step is vital, you have a lifeline  and one more chance to put it right do not let price even be a consideration. However, before you even consider another surgeon make sure you get at least a partial refund you can go through  here or I.a.hrs (better) but what ever you do not go back to them no matter what they say. Once you lose confidence in a clinic no matter how good they are or have been it really is dumb to even go back there. Look at planet steven he ranted so much about how disappointed his experience and result was and still went back there! And he won't be happy when his second result comes through I assure you although he is very OCD and really isn't a good candidate based on his mental status.

  12. And the clinic will say wait till 18 months no doubt. If they do . Tell them to not insult your intelligence contact i.ahrs and get the ball rolling in some sort of refund, use that money and go to a Dr. Who does all the work and has time for you. You have 1 chance now to sort this you need someone who's going to treat every remaining graft like gold and don't count on body hair it only grows so long it's not as simple as it seems.

What doctor meant was that these might br transplanted grafts shafts that have not shed or are stagnant (acting as foreign body) and could be blocking a new hair from growing. You can tell by tweezing them. They should come out easily .

I think he genuinely gave you good advice. You should look into it, might be the reason crown is behind.

I tried tweezing a few and they came out easily..Just the hairs  nothing else came with it such as a graft. I'm assuming this now leaves space for hairs to come through. Still very confusing.

To be honest, at 4.5 months this is really good. The outline of the hairline is strong and in 2-3 months it will be filled in. This has the makings of a homerun.

    Melvin

I'm getting a bit anxious about something. I noticed there was something stuck in my crown and just dragged it out it was a hair with some sort of residue or dry skin stuck to it. How can this be happaning at 5 months ?
