Hi SWdan. You're progressing well. How's the donor/back of your head?
Am also taking Fin but cut them in half - 0.5mg/day.
Thanks. Just in the last week or so, it seems the donor area has filled in more where there's some shock loss.. Some numbness above the incision remains.
When I pull my hair back, I can barely see the incision. In fact, I have to hunt for it.

Coming along great..!

3 months post op.
Over the last couple weeks I've been seeing a lot of action. Although the hairs are hard to see, it's nice to see some growth happening. I'm looking forward to the next several months, hopefully things thicken up.
About half the numbness on the back of my head is gone. For a couple months it felt like a block of wood back there, so it's nice to have some feeling. If I push on the incision, I feel some tenderness in spots.
No numbness in the recipient area any more, although some redness is still there.
Still some shock loss on the sides. I can feel stubble.
I initially sent Dr. Diep's prescription for Propecia into my insurance, but they rejected it. When I had my two month check up over the phone with Dr. Diep, he wanted me on it. So they called in a prescription to Walmart for the 1mg, which I've been taking for about a month now. No noticeable sides. It was a little pricey at $128 for a 90 days supply. I'm going to call the Dr. at the end of 90 days and ask them to call in a script for the 5mg Proscar.
Other than that, I'd like to think things are right on schedule. I see pictures of some guys at three months, and they're light years ahead of me, and others about the same.
It's nice to see the positive change, even if you wish it was more.

hey just came across your thread. results are amazing.
I'm wondering if your transplanted hair texture is the same as your original hair, or is it wiry and thick like some people complain it to be?
I am looking to get a transplant, possibly even with diep, but am super afraid of the wiry look especially on the hair line
Dr. Diep has literally hundreds of before and after videos on YouTube. You should take a look.

That's probably normal for less than four months. Let's see what happens at six and seven months.
-
Looks good. The shedding phase should be starting soon. Then the waiting.....
-
What a change..! Wow, he must be over the moon happy.

Nice.
We have something in common...here's my 1-10. Most comic size are graded now but I have 1-300 complete.
Wow that's pretty cool. I almost bought the 1st one on Ebay years ago, but got out bid.

Your 1st post - the pic on the far right - on top of the cabinet....MADS.
lol...ok. I had to take a look. It's the complete MAD magazines on 7 CD's, from #1 through about 2010.
-
What's with the MADs in the 1st post photo?
Not sure what you mean...
-
Nothing much happening yet, but thanks.! The waiting is the hardest part....

Two months post op.
Looks like a couple more months before the shock loss disappears. I can feel stubble when I run my fingertips over it, but it doesn't seem to be growing much, if at all.
I can't see them, but I also feel stubble in the recipient area. A few dozen transplanted hairs have grown out, but they're hard to see.
Dr. Diep told me when my hair grows out, I would no longer see the plugs. Looking forward to that..!

what kind of problems?, where?, how much time after taking the biotin it starts?
until now i was taking 600 biotin each day.
For me I had skin breakouts on my face starting after two days. After I quit things cleared up almost immediately.
I've taken Geritol vitamins for years, and it has some Biotin. Never seemed to cause me any problems. YT has many examples of people having skin issues with the Biotin supplements.
-
Looks great, looking forward for your next update.
i begun taking biotin 5000 mcg and MSM 1000 mg, hope there won't be an outbreak or something.
I was taking biotin 5000 mcg and it was horrible for my skin. I went to every other day, and still had problems. I quit after about three weeks.
-
Thanks SWdan
But are you talking about SMP or hair transplant?
Everywhere I read on the web says results should be seen after about a week
Sorry. Yes, I was talking hair transplant.
-
Most patients don't see anything happening for at least three, or four months.
I'm two months in and I can feel stubble, but can't see much of anything yet.
-
It's going to turn out great.
-
That certainly turned out great. You look about 36 in the after pic.
-
You're going to be so happy a few months from now.
-
Turned out great. You have every reason to be happy.

I definitely look much better than where I started and I only hope to get more growth. IF there is isnt more growth to come then there are areas that were either not densely packed enough or did not grow. Hopefully things will get better but if they didn’t I’d probably get FUE so that I can fill in my scar and add density. I’d probably try a different FUE pro unless Diep gave me another good deal. In some lighting it looks good!
I think a lot of people would love to be where you're at right now.

Perfect skin, and great hair...what a great combination.
