  1. Oh you're right I totally forgot about those little dots. I shave down to a.5 and they're still not visible. Only time they were ever visible on me faintly were when I shaved completely for my most recent hair transplant. But true. Well my hope is to reinforce this entire area As much as I can within reason
  2. I tried topical too but I didn't like having to apply a liquid via a dropper to my hair twice a day. It also makes my hair clump and makes it look worse because my hairline is thin as it is wetness makes it look worse. And I was hoping with erdogan surgery the 5000 grafts throughout my crown would have reinforced me so much I wouldn't have to worry about that in the future and would just get a touch up because when you see high yield surgeries people go from bald to nice hair with such high graft counts but when a surgeon wastes so many on you with low yield it really screws you up. I'm hoping with my last 3000 I can reinforce my hairline where it is now so it's not so thin and see through and to reinforce the crown slightly and then just wait a long time and see how things go. If after that it finally gets bad enough to where I need to shave then I would. But I'm also willing to sacrifice donor density because I can do a skin fade haircut.
  3. No I'm not taking anything I tried finasteride and had sexual side effects I'll never use it again
  4. I figure with the amount of grafts I have left and with couto or lorenzo it would only be another 11-16k investment into my hair and happiness fur my life id rather do that then risk another bad result with asmed. $10k over the course of my life is nothing compared to the improved well being and satisfaction of a nice hairline
  5. Yeah I would say so. I remember my Arizona surgeon and the techs there commenting on how I had a high density donor area as well. And honestly I would rather be a little thin in my donor area than on top because I can always get skin fades anyway. Hair on top is more important
  6. Here is my donor area now. The buzzer length at bottom is a.5 buzz gaurd and it's blended to the longer length
  7. Actuality I found lorenzos site I wasn't looking in the right place last time. It's kinda hard to find. And no, what I'm looking for is definitely achievable via hair transplant as I have seen many people with results that I would be satisfied by. My results simply have not worked out for me at all unfortunately with 2 very mediocre surgery results. Erdogan estimated I have 3000 left in the tank after his surgery. And my first 2 surgeons told me I had dense donor area. My first one told me he thought I was in the 10,000 ball park I think. Which is consistent with what erdogan is estimating. If a good surgeon did 2000 grafts on me next I could leave 1000 for spot touch ups later on
  8. Yeah I've seen that guys situation about his touch up with asmed. Very unfortunate. And I'm half Spaniard and Portuguese my last name is Rodrigues my father is Spaniard and Portuguese. I was communicating with the coordinator and he said Couto reviewed my email regarding my history of hair transplant surgeries and they asked for me to send specific pictures with my hair wet and brushed back. In that same email they said they would likely want to see my donor area in person before confirming a surgery with me. However, they said in seeing me in person if they decide I am a candidate for surgery then they will be able to schedule the surgery for me within a week of my consultation to avoid me having to travel to Spain twice. They also said the soonest they can get me the consultation will be end of next year. So given what he said that would mean if they decide I am eligible then it would be end of next year I get it done. I'm still waiting to hear back from the photos I sent them that they asked for. I also sent them clear pics of my donor so hopefully they can give me and idea of if they think it is likely or not that he will determine I am eligible for procedure. I read recently in another forum someone had a Spanish speaking girlfriend did through Spanish forums for him and the Spanish forums all have couto a lot of praise and positive reviews. Also, I think they're YouTube channel has more amazing results than asmed does, even if they are only the top results. I haven't seen as many amazing results from asmed like that with that kind of crazy dense packing. Also couto gets that with less grafts than asmed does. I looked at lorenzos website and his results gallery but it didn't look as impressive as coutos YouTube channel but I'll have to look at lorenzo again too
  9. I honestly doubt there is going to be a visual change in the next 8 months because the change in the past few months has been neglible. Either way I'm probably going to go with FUEXpert clinic and the soonest they'd be able to get me in is in 15 months from now I believe
  10. I'm fine not being the 100th percentile for results. But I would like to be in the top 15% for results to be satisfied with my purchase
  11. I completely disagree man for 5000grafts? Yeah right lol. Look at the difference in the FUEXpert clinc YouTube video I posted with just 3500 grafts used. And other patients that have a high yield 5000 graft procedure.
  12. This shows how low the yield for the hair transplant was. The top one is before surgery at asmed and the bottom is 10.5 months post op. Looks like the only improvement is a few wispy hairs at the corners of my forehead and temples
  13. You know what I mean. Significantly less see through
  14. If Couto were to make this area thicker and not see through then I would finally be satisfied
  15. Yeah I'm hoping couto accepts me they requested pictures and I sent them yesterday. They wanted to see me with wet hair brushed back and forward
  16. I'm half Spanish and Portuguese. I have thick dark coarse hair. And it doesn't matter as you can clearly see the yield is excellent which is what I need haha
  17. That's what I thought but the coordinator said they can schedule me for consultation at the end of next year and they can do the surgery a week later so I don't have to travel to Spain twice and honestly since I only have 3000 grafts max probably left I need to make sure I get the highest yield possible and the yield for couto seems way higher than asmed on average. I mean those YouTube videos where they thoroughly show combing through the thick hairline of their patients are impressive and clearly they can dense pack with high yield.
  18. Haha thanks. I like to think I am. I majored in physics at ucla and am currently working on my actuarial credentials to be an Actuary.
  19. That's not actually what I stated haha. If you read it again you'll see I didn't say that I think asmed has a 75% chance of not performing well. I said I bet 75% or more of the variation in results/yield for any hair transplant is due to surgical ability and that 25% or less of the variation in results/yield is due to genetic variation. I don't have any direct evidence of this, but that's what I would bet. This is a logically different statement than I think asmed has a 75% chance of performing poorly. And actually given the consistent mediocre results I'm seeing from asmed recently and I'm currently in communication with Dr Juan Couto from Madrid who consistently shows great results with less grafts used than asmed, depending on what he says from the photos I sent him in email that the clinic asked for from me, I am thinking I am going to wait and go with FUEXpert clinic in Spain.
  20. Honestly I think you guys are over estimating the percentage of variance in results due to individual genetics. The majority of variance in graft yield is due to the surgery itself. If a formal statical study was done I bet the percentage of variance in yield explained by genetic variation would be less than 25% and that the percentage of variance due to surgical prowess would be greater than 75%.
  21. Honestly, I don't think the portion of the variation in yield from a hair transplant that is due to genetic variation of graft acceptance is high enough to explain why some people have 95% yield and others have 25% yield. I think the largest contributor to variation in yield as to why someone has 95% yield and someone else has 25% yield, especially when the patient did good post op care, is due to the surgery itself
  22. Yeah. But it does at the least show they are capable of getting great results
  23. To be fair though it seems like there are quite a few good results recently posted on YouTube by asmed as well
