This patient came in to see Dr. Arocha for an FUT procedure with a PRP treatment at the same time. These photos are an interesting case study. The PRP traveled down his face, so when he came in for his three month follow-up, the patient and Dr. Arocha noticed significant improvement to the density in the patient’s eyebrows and eyelashes, which was a residual benefit to the treatment. I look forward to sharing an update on his actual hair transplant when he comes in for his six month follow-up. He had noticeable density improvement in his beard also, but he was wearing a mask, so we don’t have any great photos of that, but I’ll ask doc to take some photos when he’s in next. The result is always dependent on the available donor hair characteristics at the time of procedure. Hence, a procedure on a patient with thick caliber hair will look much thicker than on someone with finer hair. Curls and contrast also help to create a thicker-looking hair restoration outcome. It is also important to remember that few, if any, with androgenetic alopecia stay stable or improve without the recommended medical treatment. In some patients, the treatment only slows the progress. This patient has had progression of hair loss over the four year period, but what is important to note is that his result still looks natural and improved, although not thick.

This patient came in to see Dr. Arocha, and he was not a good candidate right off the bat for a surgery. So, Dr. Arocha put him on a hair re-growth program and non-surgical regimen consisting of PRP/high-powered laser and SMP for immediate results. With SMP, the results are immediate by decreasing the contrast between the pale complexion and the darker hair color, and you can see the appearance of density in the after photos. Hi Nicoandgello, Thanks for the kind words. The drawing is more of a guideline as to the area that Dr. Arocha going to be working in. In our practice, all hair transplantation are three dimensional line drawings so no two patients get the same artwork. But, the results mirror the area in the pre-op design.
