  1. By 4-5 months you are fine to walk around without a hat on. Apply a bit of sunscreen, and live your life. What's important is all that residual redness has completely subsided.
  2. I believe the issue we are facing is you not having realistic expectations. You had 3400 grafts spread over an entire NW5, of which you received a satisfactory result. People have 3000 grafts to dense pack NW3s Another issue that most newbies have a hard time understanding is thinking that one surgery is enough. in almost all cases, the first surgery is a stand alone for coverage, and provides a foundation. A second surgery is usually needed for additional density.
  3. A lot of the time a buzzed hair transplant does not look good. In the case of the sides, and back being much dense in coverage, and follicle diameter. it's far easier to see the disparity up top in comparison. The difference between transplanted, and native hair is definitely noticeable on higher norwood, even lower ones for that matter.
  4. Poor washing technique. there is no reason why you should have crusts after 10 days, other then not applying enough pressure while washing.
  5. $8-9 for the cream of the crop FUE doctors in North America $4-4.50 FUT These are the prices for the best of the best
  6. Lindsay is a great doctor who doesn't compromise his values, and integrity over greed, and short cuts. A reputable, and contributing doctor who has a proven track record through out the years. What more can you ask for? H&W are great also.
  7. Because you're limiting your graft potential with FUE alone. That, and the risk of transection is greatly increased. Where as FUT grafts are easily dissected. Enjoy your 5,000-6,000 graft potential with FUE Where as though who maximize FUT, and finish with FUE end up having 8000-10000 on average If you do the math, FUE produces more scaring then a fine linear line shown from a FUT procedure. Essentially if you add up all the dots, you have a scar that resembles a baseball on the back of your head. A good FUT surgeon will leave a pencil line on the back of your head that can be easily cut to a #2 guard
  8. bad time to get a hair transplant. Most optimal times are Fall, and winter.
  9. Nothing wrong with the result. If you thought 3400 grafts would provide you with full coverage over a NW5 pattern then you were strongly mistaken. As a stand alone procedure the result was achieved, and will need an additional transplant to go over the same area. A lot of people are misinformed when it comes to hair transplants thinking one will magically make them into a full head. A lot of the result comes down to donor availability, and hair density. Even then, almost everyone requires an additional surgery to give them the density they are looking for. it took me 6k grafts to restore a NW4 to thick density with temple points. Granted I have thin caliber hair.. Another issue we face is people being mislead by dense packing, there is only so much that can be achieved without compromising both native, and transplanted hairs. Which is why additional surgeries are required.
