  1. Thank you all Working out is something I will always do and understand it may have a small effect on my hair but just unsure if to add protein shakes into my routine now
  2. Thanks Shadman links like the below have just scared me as not long post transplant and what about to start working out again; https://wimpoleclinic.com/blog/does-whey-protein-cause-hair-loss/
  3. Just a google search, it may not be true but enough to put me off
  4. Hi Can anyone recommend a protein powder that does not have any negative effects on hair loss? I was going to use whey isolate but after research it put me off Thank you
  5. Yes I used but they gave me tachycardia (1.25mg once per day) so I had to stop
  6. Thanks Melvin Not yet, I thought 1.25mg was the minimum. My blood pressure is ok but heart rate is higher than previous (was around 60 now 73/83) Feeling a bit tired also. Not sure if these are side effects or just body getting used to it
  7. Hi, 7 days into 1.25mg of oral minoxidl, my eyes are quite sore and vision can sometimes be blurry. They don't appear to be swollen.. anyone experienced this? I understand Topical can irritate eyes so can't see how oral would. Not sure if I'm being paranoid Cheers
  8. Could find anywhere in the UK so bought some from here; https://www.unitedpharmacies-uk.md/Lonitab-Minoxidil-5mg-10-Tablets-p-1931.html Did I buy the right one before I start taking it? 😂
  9. Thank you! There are a few online I can find; Son's which contains; Saw Palmetto Argan Oil Iron Vitamin B3/Niacin Cedarwood Oil Hibiscus Amla Oil Sage Oil Rosemary Leaf Oil There is also Manual which contains Biotin, Saw Palmetto, Caffeine, ginger, sage and olive oil. Or lipogaine with pretty much the same ingredients. Haha nice head of hair 😅
  10. Hi, Can anyone recommend a DHT Blocking Shampoo I can use daily? I appreciate it's not a replacement for Finasteride etc I plan to use Nizoral once a week as well Thank you
  11. Yeah was shocked at the price's here for sessions!!
  12. Thank you Yes I think topical is definitely less daunting to take. As long as it's not greasy, I think it wouldn't be an issue to do twice a day. I will have a look into topical finasteride alone or a combination with minoxidl Also I had one PRP session transplant and surgeon recommend more courses back in the UK.
  13. Thank you for all the quick replies. I don't think topical breezula is available yet, well according to a quick Google. Well I've made it to 40 and my second HT without taking oral finasteride so I can't see myself starting but appreciate it is the best option. What are the percentages of sexual sides with topical finasteride? I was looking at topical minoxidl (5%) and finasteride (0.1%) combined but not much info on the side effects Cheers
  14. Hi, As per the title what are my options? I appreciate sexual sides are fairly uncommon but my anxiety will ensure it happens. I've just had a HT and 40 so want to take something to try and protect my native hair. I understand whatever I take it won't be as effective as oral finasteride. Cheers
  15. Sorry went a bit OTT with the red and I think cropping the photos has reduced the quality. Didn't get any issues from surgeons with them however will try and use someone else's phone
  16. Thank you. Pekiner classed me as NW4 but didn't mention anything about diffuse thinner and neither has other surgeons but yes my fear is I may make things worse/little or no gain. My hair is very fine so wet/greasy it looks poor but washed and blow dried is fine. HDC declined me with the words too dense and risking damage to existing hairs. I will take this with Dr Pekiner before making any decisions.
  17. Sorry I meant 3000, now corrected. He proposed this for adding density to the mid portion and crown Yes same photos but without the red editing. Unfortunately phone is not the best!
  18. Hi, I am seriously considering a second transplant (mainly on mid portion and crown) to increase density. I am also looking at using some beard grafts (beard is thick) but probably have enough doner without. I have approached; HLC -3500 grafts recommend Pekiner - 3000 grafts recommend HDC - Declined as surgery too risky with my current density... This has got me concerned as don't want to risk existing hairs Dr Bicer - awaiting response but could be same as HDC in view of video call indication Dr Pinto - awaiting response I also contacted Asmed, Hakan Doganay and Dr Arshad who all offered surgery without any indication of a problem. Are HDC being too cautious? I've attached some photos Any recommendations on surgeons would also be appreciated (Pekiner is probably in front at the moment). I can't stretch to 4 euro per graft surgeons unfortunately. Cheers
  19. Thanks everyone, really appreciate it. I will have a look and possibly save up a little more
  20. Hi, I'm looking to have my second transplant in the coming months and want to use some of my beard hair behind the hairline. I did intended on using Asmed but they don't do it, can anyone recommend some surgeons? Asmed price is my top end. I'm UK based and thank you in advance Cheers
  21. Hi, Can anyone recommend what vitamins I should be taking to promote healthy hair? My hair is very fine and a bit brittle from styling etc My Facebook is spammed by it really works hair Vitamins which isn't cheap but all in one vitamin is ideal I know they wont regrow any hair or anything like that Cheers
  22. Thanks hjb1990, yours looks awesome mate congratulations! Thank you chevenowner! I made him keep the hairline quite high and inline with my existing hair (he did try and lower it) as I'm not too far off 36 now! I'm just taking biotin and MSM, not really sure if they have helped or not! It does need more density but it's still early days so fingers crossed it will get thicker! Surgery in April is still very early, plenty more time for it to kick in! Cheers
