Very odd 1st post...never heard of them and pic is terrible quality.

Trust me, it’s better to wait a year and have it done right than to live with a poor result because you didn’t want to wait. Go with who you think is the best, regardless of location and wait time if all possible. You will be glad you did in the end.

Your donor hair appears to be good. There is nothing to be embarrassed about taking propecia. Go see a different doctor or a hair transplant surgeon and they can write you a prescription if you are embarrassed to talk about it with your regular doctor. The doctors you listed all have good reputations. Since you are on the west coast, I would also definitely add Dr Gabel to your short list. I haven’t seen anything short of excellent from him on here.

Wow, you guys took 2084 grafts a long way. This is a very nice result.
-
Tons of guys use it after a transplant and many doctors recommended it during the early stages. You are fine.
-
I would encourage you to ask whatever Dr you decide you are going to choose if he can arrange it so you could see a patient who has a procedure done during your consultation. There is no replacement for seeing what it looks like first hand. That way, it may help you make a decision that is best for you. Good luck with everything.

Gabel is as good as it gets. Hasson & Wong are also very good. You would be in great hands at either place. Don’t bargain shop...go to one of them!

Go see Dr. Gabel

This is a very nice result.

I would also add Cooley and Gabel to your list of top surgeons.

Who says there is no cure for hair loss. It’s amazing what can be done if you choose a top surgeon.

Congratulations...I think you will be very happy by Summer time.

You could get a transplant and put some grafts into the crown and look good now. However, if you are not taking Fin you will likely lose more in the future and need more work. A bald crown area takes a bunch of grafts to achieve even light coverage. That is why I suggested getting on Fin to hopefully save what you have so if you do get a transplant, the result from it will last. I have seen guys who were not on Fin achieve great results but i think it’s best to take preventive meds if you are able to tolorate them.

I have 2 young kids and 1 on the way and I have been on Fin once a day for the past 17 years. Fin is your best bet to save what you have and maybe even improve it some.

I’m 7 months out of surgery from him and very happy. I researched for 2 years before pulling the trigger and I never once found anything negative about Dr. Konior. Based on my result, I can see why.

You currently need 2000-2500 grafts in the front 1/3 area in my opinion. I would not lower your hairline at all because where it is currently at is age appropriate and looks good. Your hair loss pattern shows you will likely continue to lose hair. If it were me, I would get on Fin and try to save what I have in the crown while focusing surgery on the front 1/3 area. Otherwise, if you are not ok with having a bald crown, I would not get a hair transplant. There is not enough donor hair to cover the area of hair loss you will have in another 10-15 years without Fin.

Everything is looking good at this point. It won’t be long until things start steadily improving. Keep exercising and eating right. I firmly believe that helps get things rolling a little faster.

I agree you should get a full refund. Having to deal with a poor result is way worse than just being a normal bald guy. Take it from me because I’ve been there!
-
Congratulations! This is going to be a great result. I am happy for you and wish you good luck with everything.
-
Looking great!
-
Congratulations, I’m glad you took your time on your decision. You picked one of the best doctors out there. You will be looking great in a few short months.
-
Great job! This guy seems really happy with his result as he should.
-
Congratulations, you have done your research and chosen wisely. It’s nice knowing that in just a few short months, you will be showing improvement and looking better. Hang in there and look forward to what is ahead!

I agree with everything above. There is some very good advice on your question. Please reach out if you need further help or assistance. I have gotten some great advice on this forum in tthe past as many others have as well. Most guys on here would be glad to help and assist you if needed.
Opinions? FUT or wait?

I have seen some impressive mega session results from Hasson and Wong that were in the ball park of 5000 grafts. Get some more opinions from a couple other top doctors (Gabel, Konior, Cooley) and go from there. Personally, if they all feel you are a good candidate for a mega session of 5000 grafts, why not get it done once instead of two separate surgeries. You would not go wrong with any of these doctors.
