  1. What a shitty situation this doctor put you into. I really feel for you and hope you can get things worked out. I agree that going to a top doctor like Dr. Cooley is your best bet and tell him your wishes and concerns and let him advise you on what to do. Keep your head up. You are not the first person who jumped into a bad decision. I think that with the technology/techniques that top doctors are able to perform, you will look fine down the road because you still have good hair behind your transplanted area. Good luck!

  2. It’s hard to judge without pictures but if you are serious about getting it done, I would go talk to Dr. Konior and have him assess you. He will tell you his professional opinion which I would trust. Also, my FUT did not take that long to recover. I was back at work without a hat a couple months after the surgery without any questions from anyone. You just have to leave your hair a little longer in the back to cover...maybe 1.5” or so to be safe.

  3. I agree 100% with what Home said. That would be your best strategy. If you go to a good surgeon, you may even end up with a better scar than what you have now. I would definitely get on Fin. Based on my own experience as well as from pics I’ve seen, I would recommend Konior, Gabel, Cooley, Alexander just to name a few.

  4. I think you look fine in your pics. I have never seen anyone up close who had SMP but yours looks good in your pics. I wouldn’t get any type of transplant if you want to shave the donor area. The scaring will be noticeable and will most likely bother you. If you are willing to keep your hair a little longer (2-3 guard) then I think you would be happy with FUE. See what Dr. Cooley has to say. He is top notch and will shoot you straight.

  5. Your hair wasn’t all that bad before your procedure but I feel like you already have a nice result and the recession in the corners you had prior to your procedure is now gone. It’s a very natural looking hairline. Your result will continue to thicken some over the next 2-3 months which will help even more.
