  1. No scar. It is totaly & completely undetectable.

My wife who is a hairstylist was coloring my hair a few nights ago & could not see the scar at all.

As far as am I happy with my results the answer is yes & no. I have a hairline that frames my face which I didn't have before, NW6+) but my hair is baby fine & I wish I had more density. I am going back for #2 & hope to achieve that.

But no worries as far as the scar goes.

  2. Everyones situation is different. It was somewhat of an EZ call for me.

1)I wore a hat ALL of the time in public anyways so if it didn't work...keep wearing the hat.

    2) My age of 50. I lost most of what I was going to loose so...nothing to loose!

    3) I hated the way I looked, so it couldn't be worse.

So it depends on your age, your current hairloss

    & many other factors.

    Good luck whatever you decide.

BigBill, you should probably wait it out for a little bit at least and watch what happens with the grafts. If August hits and it doesn't get better and you're still not content with your look, depending on your donor supply you could consider seeing one of the reputable doctors established on this site.

I think my advice is much more prudent than yours given this young mans age. I hope he does not follow your advice about considering another HT. Of course this is just my opinion.

  5. Absoloutley, positively wait it out.

You are to young & you have a long road ahead.

If everything is looking good now don't let it bother you if you are loosing some.

Hairtransplants can also cause shockloss & may actually accelerate your MPB if that is what you are experiencing.

Hairtarnsplants do not help you maintain the hair you have.

Let it go until you develop some actual balding of your scalp that affects your appearance.

You may very well wish one day you had those transplants back to use when you will really need them.

Stay away from the HT doctors for now & stop worrying about your hairloss completely.

  6. Chris,

If your Dermotologist has determined that there are no signs of MPB & your hair doesn't appear to be thinning, forget about it. And I mean that literally! Don't think about it, don't tug on it, don't check your comb or your shower drain.

MPB is obvious once it begins.

Get on with your life, you ae young only once. Time will come to worry about alot of things as you age. So don't waste time, energy or money worrying now. It is a waste of precious youth!

Take it from me, I am 51 yr's old.

  7. Always contact your Dr. first prior to lodging a complaint.

This paints the Dr. in a bad light before he/she has had an opportunity to address the problem & offer a possible solution.

Most of the coaltion Doctors here take great pride in thier work & should be given the opportunity to make it right if you are not satisfied.

I know In my business as a contractor I want my customers to give me that opportunity before lodging a complaint with the Registrar of Contractors.

  8. Justin, Congrats on your HT with Dr.Alexander!

I am also a happy patient of Dr. Alexander for all the reasons you posted.

Everything worked out great for me in terms of growth & minimal to no evidence of a scar, as I am sure it will be for you.
