Dear Smokeball101,
Thank you very much for sharing your experience on behalf of Dr. Bisanga and BHR staff. Everything looks alright after the 1st days. The recipient area looks very neat.
As we spoke all the transplanted hair will probably fall down within the next weeks, but that is part of the process. In case you see some redness on the recipient area, that’s normal too.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for anything you may need at any moment.
Kind regards,
-

Hi,
Thank you very much for your comments.
@ Thisguy1, the initial idea with the side by side pictures was to use the "before" pictures since patient had longer hair, but the quality of the pre-surgery images and its angulations were better.
Kind regards,

Hi Mikeey,
The goal of a surgery is to reinforce a thin area, but that does not stop future loss since baldness can progress in other zones. Sides can drop, crowns can open, so that’s why medication is important in order to prevent future hair loss and help native hair.
Kind regards,
-
Hi,
@ Mosd, I already asked to the clinic about the cm. distance between the eyebrows and hairline to be more accurate, so I hope to comment about that soon.
About donor left, ideally we would have to check his laxity related to a possible new strip procedure so I could be wrong, but taking as a reference similar cases, we could be thinking about another 2000+ Strip.
By FUE, his donor density is below average, and having already a FUT procedure, maybe we could be talking around 2000-2500 extra FU as well.
Nevertheless we have to take into account that after each FUT/FUE surgery donor capital decreases, and it's always advisable to recheck the area after each procedure.
@ Indi9, no, although he was advised about it, patient is not using meds. In previous pictures patient had wet hair, so maybe that can give that impression.
Kind regards,
-
Hi,
Thanks for the last comments.
- Related to result pictures, they were provided by the patient himself. Hopefully we can get new ones to show the hairline in detail.
- The use of medication is very important in our opinion for most of surgeries in order to preserve native hair. This patient was explained about it. That said Dr. Bisanga advised for a quite conservative approach keeping a very high hairline and temples thinking of mid-long term. That means patient has still resources on his donor (FUT and FUE ) when he may need another procedure, and can use also a combination of the two techniques to maximize his donor.
Kind regards,
-
Thank you for your comments, Bill.
Hair account -together with the calibre of the hair- is an important figure in order to understand the result of a procedure as well. It has a direct effect in the result in terms of density and coverage.

Dear BaldingBogger / home1212 / David,
Thank you for your comments.
Related to crown, 1200-1400 grafts were used aprox.: goal there was not to put the biggest density but getting a better coverage. It is always advised to not be aggressive in crown areas searching for coverage rather than density.
In terms of filling the temples it was not his goal at this stage, but it may be a possibility if donor allows it. Anyway we have to take into account that patient is still young and potential hair loss in the future must be considered.
The fact that he had a strip procedure means that he has still the possibility of FUE as well.
Kind regards,
-

Fue operation this summer 2016

Dear Erik,
Are you using finasteride or minoxidil? How is the hair loss in your family?
Calibre and average hairs/FU are factors to consider in terms of the number of FU to use, but looking at the hairline you drew, something around 2000+ could be enough to treat that area.
It is always important to keep FU thinking of mid/long term.
Kind regards,
