Hi Princessisland17,
Dr. Bisanga used 3071 Strip grafts on this case.
Regarding the cost I should ask to the clinic since it was a repair case and maybe it was a little bit more expensive than usual. Please feel free to send me a PM if you wish to know more about this case.
@ Gasthoerer, thank you very much for your comments, really appreciated.
Regards,

Pathways are very common after the 1st days from a procedure. There's nothing to worry about it. Many patients even ask us if they would have a "line with no hair" there, but as said it should be fine if the process is correct.
-
We usually advise a baby shampoo or a soft one during the 1st weeks after a procedure. 2 months after you could use a regular one like H&S or any other you may like.
That's what I also did after my surgeries with Dr. Bisanga.
Nevertheless it is better if you contact your doctor and follow his advice.

After 1 month you could trim your hair on donor and recipient as long you do not cut off or create any wound, which is very rare if you go to a hair dresser.
Regards and best wishes with your procedure.

2 months
Hi,
We don't have to forget this is not a case of hairline-temples. If we see the post-op top image and also this one at 2 months, we can see that it was the whole frontal area which was treated. Probably with longer hair it was not that visible, but I believe Dr. Bisanga saw also weak hair on 2nd half of the frontal so he decided to reinforce it as well. So 3400 FUE for a surface like that is a very appropriate figure.

Thank you for your words, Spex. Much appreciated.
Literalno, in our opinion minoxidil may help on the speed of the new hair or the recovery of native hair after a surgery.
Kind regards,
-
Thank you for the new pictures, jayboy61.
The light is a little bit harsh on pre-surgery picture, but I think there's an obvious evolution.
Looking forward to see how it is in the incoming months.
-
Hi Literalno,
As far as I know, the patient was using minoxidil only on the non-transplanted area, that is behind the frontal in order to help native hair.

Hi,
This patient sent us his pictures at 9 months so we share them with you all.Kind regards, -
Hi Kimura50,
That comparison is very useful and it shows the difference in 5 months approx.
Best regards,

Hi jayboy61,
I think there is an improvement in terms of thickness compared to the previous pictures.
You are just 6 months post-op so we expect more to come in the next months.
We are at your disposal if you need anything.
Best wishes,
-
Do you have any additional picture from crown? Maybe I'd focus on frontal at the moment.
You are still very young so I agree with a conservative approach, maybe 2000+ for frontal area. Your baldness will probably progress in years, so it is important to manage donor properly.

Most of surgeries done today are FUE. That said, not every patient is a FUE candidate or can get a total coverage with FUE alone. If you have a big baldness (let's say NW 6-7), probably FUE will not be enough to cover all or most part of it, unless you have great donor characteristics (density, calibre, hair-count, etc.).
So if a patient want to maximize his donor capacity, maybe starting by FUT is a good option, and then do 1-2 FUE procedures in the future.
Best wishes,
-
Mr Malcolm,
Apology appreciated and accepted.

Mr Malcolm,
Ejj is an ex patient and not an employee of BHR.
We are not responsible for his posts and he has never received a penny in commission for anything he says.
We have a rich history of posting and contributing to HTN and it's a shame in your first post you are un-justly attacking us. A man with your age and experience in the industry should probably show some professional courtesy rather than making unfounded and totally erroneous statements.
We hope you solve any issue you have with Ejj but ask you keep us as a clinic out of your attacks and inaccurate language. We have zero accountability for what patients write and Ejj can give account of his experience with you of which we are not part of.
Regards.

8 months upgrade.
Kind regards,
-
Hi True,
That would basically depend on your donor density. You could maybe try to post some pictures of your donor areas (back and sides) and you will get some comments which may guide you.
Nevertheless try to have some personal appointments with one or more doctors so they can check your donor characteristics: density, calibre, average of hairs per FU, etc. That will help you in the possible approach of your surgery.
Regards,
-
Dear Kimura50,
Thank you for the upgrade. The process seems very fine at 5 months although we expect it to improve in the next months. But the difference between before-current pictures is notable.
Thanks again for sharing.

Thanks for the reply. Does Dr Bisanga do mostly FUT or FUE procedures?
Hi TrixGlendevon,
Most of the procedures done by Dr. Bisanga are FUE, but we also do Strip, mainly in women and transgender patients + big areas to cover.
Kind regards,
-
Hi PipoG,
Could you please share some other pictures taken with more distance? All the options that have been mentioned (graft removal, electrolysis and adding more density) could be considered.
If it can help, here I share a couple of examples of the work of Dr. Bisanga which may be similar to your situation:
- Graft removal:
- Adding density on the area:

Yeah I was thinking of doing this actually. Cutting it down to the lowest number that still covers the scar and then just leaving it like that for 5-6 months. I am not sure why other people don't do this themselves and seems logical to me. I just assumed that I was missing something.
Hi TrixGlendevon,
You have to ask your possible doctor / clinic, but if you are considering a Strip procedure, maybe you can use some concealer on the scar a few weeks after the procedure in case you wish to cut your hair shorter on donor area.
Regarding football players, and as you said, many of them use the shaven head look to disguise their procedures, but that's only valid with FUE technique.

BHR Clinic
Dr. Christian BISANGA
Age: 33
Technique: FUE
Medication: No
Donor density: 60-70 UFs/cm2, most 1-2 hairs (not many 3-4s)
Fine hair
Previous surgeries: No
Total FU used: 1.888
* FU breakdown:-
1s 400
2s 970
3s 518
TOTAL: 1888
That means 1888 FU = 3894 Hairs. Average = 2,06 hairs/FU.
Pictures show the process 0-7 months, so we expect more evolution in terms of calibre and coverage within the next months.

The images right after the procedure seem to show a higher density compared to the 1st pictures you shared, where you probably already lost some scabs and hairs.
Nevertheless the best option is to contact your doctor/clinic and they could help you better.
Best wishes,

Hi literalno,
I would not say it is a "mandatory", but in case you have some shock loss in the donor or in and around the transplanted, being on medication such a Propecia will limit shock loss and going on Minoxidil also (2 weeks post-surgery) may also speed up the regrowth process.
Nevertheless, the use of medication in mainly advised to help the native hair and keep stable the possible hair loss.
Best wishes,

Dear Jayboy,
Thank you very much for upgrading your surgery.
Definitely it looks thicker compared to previous images.
New hairs can grow up to 7-9 months, but you will mainly see improvement in terms of thickness till 12-15 months and that will help to the final result in terms of density.
Anything you may need just let us know.
Kind regards,
