  1. There are pictures of Jeremy Pivin's donor scar posted on the web, which seemed pretty bad.
  2. Hey All - I am going to be starting Propecia very soon and wanted to pay for it through my Health Care Spending Account. Has anyone done this and had issues paying for it?
  3. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. May your daughter have a speedy recovery.
  4. how about drugstore.com or amazon.com? I use it and its okay. The directions says to use it twice a day but it makes your hair look terrible and it smells like flowery crap. Definitely not a styling product but it does not chap the scalp like the liquid.
  5. Urizen, hang in there. Yes we all get depressed by it but there is more to life, like good friends. It sounds like you have some friends that are going through it. They may seem "ok" with it, but I'm willing to bet its hurting them inside too. You guys can support one another. Definitely throw yourself out there, join some athletic club(s) at school like martial arts or a book club. Most likely you'll find people there who will like you for your inner self and not so much the fratty kind (no offense to fraternity guys). Like drmstx said, concentrate on school so you can make the big bucks to get a kick a$$ HT.
  6. It will be tough to come up with a story for those that do not have enough existing hair to cover up. I've seen on the forum some folks that didn't shed their grafts, which look like long stubble. I was thinking in those cases to trim/shave on the 13th-14th day but that is probably a big no-no since that area is not 100% healed. Hopefully some guys on the forum have experienced that have some ideas. Other excuses could be getting an infection/allergic reaction from camping or fishing in a wooded area. These probably sound like lame excuses but hopefully it sparks some creativity for you.
  7. I haven't had a HT yet but I was told by physicians and read many blogs that 14 days is plenty of time for the redness and swelling to go away. Supposedly 14 days is plenty of time where its no longer noticeable. Only a bone-head would be so inconsiderate to ask you. You can always tell them the truth but I guess there a few good excuses such as you got an infection or too much sun...I'm with you when it comes to privacy though.
  8. I think the package recommends an 8 hour duration and twice a day as optimal. I use it only once a day which is at night. I typically put it in an hour or two before turning in for the night so it dries. I'll wash it out in the morning. The stuff is really smelly and doesn't style well. Once in a while I'll dab a little in the morning, but overall I'm sacrificing the 2nd recommended application so I don't stink up the office and draw attention.
  9. I've been taking the foam for a tad over a year and never had any pain. In my opinion, it did give me a tad more growth on the top of my head after 3 months. Unfortunately I don't think my body is reacting to it as effectively anymore. I notice a few months ago that the are isn't as dense. I take it once a day since it makes the hair look wierd...My opinion, its not a styling gel, it makes the hair clump and it smells too much like heavy cheap perfume.
  10. drugstore.com also works for rogain. Its about 50 per 3-pack. Once in a while you'll get a promotion for a few bucks off. No tax and typically no shipping charges either. I hear watching what you eat will work, a little extra zinc or green tea in the diet might help.
  11. Hello All, Looking to re-establish my hairline. Has anyone had a procedure from Dr Keller in Chicago? There are limited postings on him. Seems like Dr Konior is the major player in the Chicagoland market...still I'd like to get feedback from Dr Keller's patients. Thanks!
