  1. Wicked, mate! This is looking really good; just like my 5 months, see!! haha, it's so damn stressful dude but it's all down hill from here. The next 3 months are going to be great
  2. Happy New Year everyone! Today is my 10th Month post NeoGraft so thought I'd share a few pics I snapped today. Still a bit thin but from where I started it's tons better; I think I'll be happy with this single HT procedure... at least my wallet says so! One major update piece on my regimen: I totally stopped Rogaine. It was making my scalp itch so fiercely; I had cut down to only using it once a day and then down to only using it about an hour before I showered and it just was relentless head itching; even the foam version. Also, it made my hair very, very dry and looking wiry like pubic hair, even when I stopped washing it regularly and was applying oils and product. Since ending Rogaine, my hair is looking and feeling much better; softer, no scalp itch at all... hopefully it won't hurt me in the long run but it had to be done. I am still taking Propecia with no side effects at all and my HT Doc said that works more thoroughly than Rogaine anyway.
  3. Thanks! Yeah I was ignorantly the pioneer for this Dr but it seems to have worked out!
  4. Yep; For the previous pictures I always sat in the same position and my wife took it with our DSLR camera right after I showered and dried my hair so that it was consistent. Yesterday and today's are not in the same manner of course so I'll try and get some soon like that... this is the best top-down I can get by myself but the crown isn't very visible so I'll get some updated pics soon. I still could use a lot more thickness but coming from where I was.... bald to thin is awesome.
  5. Dude, you're right at the cusp, this looks really really good. You don't seem to have nearly as much redness as I did at that point. Are you getting any itching?
  6. Hi everyone! I am 8 months post Neograft so wanted to post an update. Everything is going really well. I'm still struggling with dry hair and itchy scalp so am doing Minoxidil off and on. Taking Finestricide everyday. I also have some bumps on my head and one marble like lump that I need to see my Dr about. I started getting mild shedding over the past few weeks. Shedding is totally normal; fine hairs going through cycle, according to research so I'm not trippin. My biggest problem at this point is how to style my new hair so I'm going to see a real stylist soon but in the mean time my barber is blown away. Here are a few pics including one of what products I use. Message me or reply with comments or questions. Thanks!
  7. Just posting 3 progress pictures: April 10th, May 30th, & July 25th...
  8. I talked to my regular dr about propecia and he told me he hasn't had a single patient experience erection problems from that drug; he said he thinks a lot of times men blame ED on propecia unscientifically and showed me the research data which suggested the percentage chance is very very low. 5 months now and no issues. My erections may be stronger now, if anything, but I won't credit propecia for that I'd rec talking to your Dr too if you're concerned and see if they can give you a similar pep talk.
  9. 5-Month update. Everything is going great. Everyone notices now so people at work ask me what I'm doing. People that haven't seen me in awhile must be putting 2 + 2 together but they usually comment, "Did you get a haircut or something?" All my friends are really impressed. I still take finestricide everyday but in the past month, I've stopped washing my hair everyday and am down to just washing it twice a week. I still massage my hair in the shower everyday but just don't use soap. The Monoxidil makes my hair feel like straw and my head itchy so I've cut back to once a day, sometimes every other day. Coconut oil helps when my scalp feels itchy but I've seen the biggest improvement to that from not washing my hair anymore. I got the foam version of monoxidil and have been trying that during the day at work; it still makes my hair straw-like so I have some coconut oil I use like hair tonic and that helps a lot.
  10. Wow, thanks for the comments guys; I really appreciate it. I think part of what helped me is that I didn't start Fenestricide & Monoxidil until after I had the HT... so it was like fertilizer and I'm seeing some results from that. Or maybe I'm just lucky? Either way I'll take it I also take 10,000 mg Biotin every morning with my proscar pill if that makes a difference. Honestly, this would be great if it was my 12 month result so I'm looking forward to the next 6 months
  11. Thanks for the comments! Those ugly duckling months (0-3) were rough but I feel like the worst is behind me and my hair future is looking bright. For those considering the FUE procedure; I think we all have the same anxieties for the first few months (what if it doesn't work for me?). Hopefully you can get some validation through this website before you make your decision.
  12. Today is 4 months exactly since my FUE procedure and the results are outstanding so far. People are commenting on how great it looks and other men with thinning hair are asking what I did. I still have a lot of growth to go so I am, finally, really excited and pleased. Money well spent. I do monoxidil only once a day because it makes my scalp itchy and dry. Now that I have hair, I use argon oil after I wash it to soften it up. Finestricide, of course, once a day. I rotate shampoo and conditioners throughout the week including once or twice a week Nizoral shampoo. I think it's best to only shampoo your hair every other day of you can stand it (I usually can't). I'll update again in another month or two, depending on changes. Good luck!
  13. Thanks to those who messaged me. Based on those, I'll keep the review going every couple of months so those researching can see the progress I have made. Cheers,
  14. The first 2 months were bad because of the redness. I have been working out, eating real food, and living life; not focusing on my hair. I am thinking it's a mistake to post "updates" on this website the way I have been judging by the responses. I think I missed the focus here; I thought it would be helpful to people doing research prior to a HT but it seems like it makes me sound like I'm flipping out or maybe I'm complicating the information. I do appreciate everyone's support, of course. I'll post a 1 or 2 year conclusion for the "review" of Dr. Slusher and 'll save the updates for family and friends going forward. Thanks everyone for your responses and well wishes. Cheers,
  15. Hi, today is my 3-month Post-Op anniversary and I'm getting some very sudden changes so wanted to give an update. My hair is noticeably thickening, especially in the middle area where I had the least transplants done. To recap, I started Finestricide & Minoxidil 2 weeks after my HT. I'm also taking 10,000mg of Biotin each day and alternating Nizoral shampoo twice a week. My head has been itchy the past week, especially, and my hair feels dryer than usual... I have at time cut back on the Minoxidil thinking that was increasing itchiness and dryness. I also had two ingrown hairs on my scalp the past few days which I resolved with a warm damp washcloth several times a day. To illustrate the huge change I'm referring to, check out the April 22nd picture. These others are from June 1st.
  16. Yep! I'm very happy the redness is greatly reduced. Now just to get some hair growth...
  17. Just an update, I am 7 weeks post op and the redness, while still there, has dramatically reduced to the point that concealer wasn't necessary any longer at work. I was using hypoallergenic concealer I bought in the makeup section on just the hair line (where there is no hair anymore) but I don't need it anymore. I used tons of aloe vera for the past 7 weeks. It soothed the burning in the donor area but I don't think it did any redness reduction in the transplant area. I hope this helps people who are considering HT. I'm still in the ugly duckling stage but at least I am makeup free.
  18. I appreciate that GreatPelo. Ron actually did several "red flag" things that made me take a step back. He threw the "guaranteed in writing" phrase around which, of course, I never received. I guess time will tell whether this was worth it or not. I feel for sure I overpaid but if I get some decent results I'll feel better about it. I do like Dr. Slusher but just wished he actually did the procedure.
  19. Hi Zeo, thanks for that info. I thought about that before putting concealer on, actually. The concealer I bought said "Does not clog pores" on the label so I was satisfied with that but I should probably call my HT doc. I'll post what he says. I can say that it doesn't *appear* to clog the pores but I def don't want to do anything to mess with healing!
  20. I don't know the count. THey said I had a lot of 5 and 6 and even 7 grafts but I have a feeling they tell everyone that. I do have extremely thick hair in the donor area so I don't doubt it.
