I had got my strip surgery performed in Mauritius about 18 months ago. The strip scar is not as bad as some I have seen on the forums but it is visible when I buzz to no.3 so I decided to get some Fus transplanted into the scar by fue during my last sitting with Dr.A, Delhi on 9 june 2004. I got 50 grafts in the strip scar(total 1900 fuse/fue grafts). I had read that yield is not good in strip scar(50% they say). I had my wife count the no. of grafts growing last weekend. 40 grafts are growing (a couple of them are curly but I hope they will straighten out with time). I am planning on getting 1000 fue grafts on 8 Nov. I plan to design a website this time. I think fue into strip scars is going to offer a ray of hope to many strip scar stricken like me. I had cut my hair about 4-5 mm before my surgery each time. That way folks cant make out much provided you have 5-7 days off after surgery.

Can we see some pics. Did you have some hair growth in the crown/baldspot or was it slick bald. Shock loss can be due to a no. of reasons the most important being if existing hair roots are cut while making recipient sites. But that is applicable only when transplanting hair in between existing hair growth.

Ingrown hair lead to pimples which in turn may get infected when you try to nick them and you may end up losing a precious graft that way. I was advised Betnovate-C/ diprovate. Its much safer and the pimple went in a couple of days.

I think you should seriously wait. Body hair into the scar is THE option.

You can get a natural look yes. But thats not the same as what nature gave. And anyway no one will give you as many hair as nature had placed originally. Not unless body hair or hm becomes commonplace.

I do not think it is a good idea. poet got it done and dj got it done. I dont think either of them are happy with the results. The problem with tattoing is that the color of the tattoo changes over time.See some people with tattoos done a couple of years back.They turn blue or greenish blue. It doesnt really serve the purpose if you wish to buzz cut your hair at the back. At a couple of feet in bright light and it will be obvious. Worse its very tough to get it removed. A better option would be to try dermacolor. Its what people with white patches use. You get natural colors.You can apply it yourself. And it stays for a week at least and is waterproof. I think you will find it at 'waterproof make up'.
