  1. After researching, you need to make the decision of a hair clinic or DIY.

A hair clinic will be a longer term commitment and at least x4 more expensive than DIY. They do everything which some like, but that takes much of the control and education out of your grasp. You will pay ?450 to ?2k per system and cut in

DIY can be tricky to start, although most DIY places can recommend a salon to help with the cut in. There are plenty of vids to help with DIY now unlike when I started years ago. You will pay between ?220 and ?350 per unit and cut in

There is no quality difference between them as they all come from the far east.

Systems do work - or have for me, but not for everyone. If you take the time to research and be patient it will work.

  2. I have been wearing seven years and I think that says it all.

While its never going to be a substitute to a full head of hair it is the next best thing in my view.

I reattachment as part of my routine and it takes 20-30 mins every 3-weeks.

I have been on holiday with it many times and no problems.

  3. Definitely! I have been wearing 7 years now and my biggest regret is not knowing about them sooner. My life has vastly improved.

It does take work and you need to keep at it to get the right final system, but it will knock years off you as its done for me.

I buy online and DIY, which isnt as hard as it sounds. All in I spend ?400 a year.

  4. there are good and bad posts about nearly all hair system companies.

Ive never been a customer of Advanced Hair and I never will but only because they charge so much for the same products I can get for a sixth of the price without any loss of quality and possible superior quality from some of your systems I have seem when meeting people.

  5. Hi,

Does anyone know of a good company in the UK who does fullcap systems and dont cost ?2000 pounds:D

Currently i wear a topper but my hair has thinned alot at the back so looking for alternatives.

    Thank you.

There are a few options, but do you need a salon or have an old piece / template or can do your own measurements?

    The price difference is huge

  6. please use paragraphs to help us help you.

    Sorry to read this.

I have heard of two first hand bad experiences with LHC when contacted on forums- the first was someone who had a rushed and botched cut in and was basically told to get lost.

The other was bad service after complaining about colour of a piece.

The arrogant approach is typical of a few of these clinics. I cant post more due to legal matters.

  7. hi there,

only 25 or 30 tips some depending on your system and usage or functions like washing and general care. :)

Some I have learned myself but most I have been told by my supplier and other users.

Things like wide tooth comb, regular oiling with a good product, not over washing, no heated tongs or drying, knot sealing, UV blockers, a spare system are some basics.

  8. Will Trendco cut it? They have a salon on the south coast I think.

Its quite a specialist field. Maybe a ladies salon in brighton will help as they will have more experience dealing with non natural hair and extensions

  9. It is on the thin side, but it could just be natural. You hair looks shorter in the later photos.

Wait and see over the next year or two. At moment, I wouldnt be overly worried.

It could be known as a cowlick

  10. I haven't heard about ukhairsystems yet. Do they sell internationally? I visited their website, & the before - after photos on the homepage looks like have stolen from an Indian seller's website (I have had a hair system from them a few years back)

& Why did you quit using Hollywood lace? Can you please elaborate on it.

Same here about Farrell. I have also heard the same. Do you know anybody who has used farrel systems?

When I worked in Dubai for an extended period I got ukhair systems to ship to me.

Hollywood lace - had colour problems and shipping delays on last two pieces from them.

  11. Sometimes they can attach without shaving the area right down so a 1 - 3 grade. Also I think there are clip on systems, which although not 100% perfect mean you dont have to immediate shave. Maybe someone else knows more about them.

I would assume you would need longer hair for the clip on and besides longer hair will help the cut in.
