They are. What's weird is that I still never had such a gap until this last surgery. So...is this beyond hope?
Why on earth didn't your surgeon excise old scars while performing new strip ops, surely this is standard procedure? Every strip surgery I have had, they have always excised the previous scar! 3 scars in a row is bordering on negligence IMO.
As far as repairs, I'd get a better series of pics and email dr Lindsey for an opinion
-
At 15 weeks its likely you will have some shock loss there so this may improve a bit over time. Who was your surgeon? have you contacted them for an opinion?
-
the best FUE surgeon in the world IMO is Dr Lorenzo, here is his website Injerto Capilar
he is usually based in Madrid Spain but at the present time up until around september i believe he is working with the Farjo clinic in the UK (Manchester to be exact). I really wouldn't look any further than there if money isn't an issue

I've read doctor Sanusi Umar does this. The results are impressive, so I think.
Each to their own mate, personally I wouldn't do it but it's up2u
-
Haha, yes, of course. But I'm sure you understood what I meant.
I so know what u mean mate but personally I'd never use body hair I'm the hairline and temples as it's not close enough to scalp hair to look good IMO
-
I wish to preserve all the available donor hair on my head for my head.
You don't consider your temples 2b your head?lol
-
Why chest hair? Why not scalp hair? In any case I wouldn't have body hair into the hairline/temples, at most it's better used as a filler when you've not got the available scalp hair, beard hair is generally closer to scalp hair than chest hair is, even so avoid this in the hairline/temple area

Thank you docs, reps, and hair loss sufferers for your thoughtful pms and messages. Come July, lets see.
Mickey, youve done a great job informing folks about FUE. Keep up the good work.
hi sean whats your current status? were free grafts given/needed, or did the result improve further over time?

I honestly think you're in a good position if you can stabilise your hair loss... but i can't stress how important that actually is! i was a diffuse thinner but i didn't discover propecia until 2007 (i was 27) at which point id lost a lot of hair! at 23 my hair loss was pretty much identical to yours! propecia helped my no end and i have had a few procedures to get me back to pretty much a full head of hair! check my story on this link if u like http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/174502-my-hair-transplant-story-2000grafts-dr-farjo-6000-dr-hasson-4-years-post-op.html although I've had some crown work done since then in 2012 because as u can see from the pics i had a slight thinning of the crown also which wasn't addressed in the previous surgeries
PM me if you wanna know anything about medication/surgeries/good surgeons etc. I'm not an expert but i have a lot of experience having had multiple surgeries and using minos/propecia since 2007
-
I see your point. I just wanted to avoid taking any medication/drugs. It's not like I have any particular problem with Propecia. I don't even take aspirin! If it would maximize the results of a hair transplant, I would definitely be keen on getting on it, though.
Thanks again Future. I sent a survey/request to one of the listed doctors, and will wait to hear back from them. Also, could you explain what a 'diffuse thinner' is?
I'll look into getting some Minoxidil. I can order some and have it sent here, but I actually have a friend who is a pharmacist (in Japan), so I'll see if he can hook me up. Surely they must have it here.
A diffuse thinner is someone who isn't just receding but thinning out all over the top of the head which is why propecia would be so important for you, I'd send emails of pics to the top guys for advice tbh people like Hasson & Wong, Rahal, Konior, Lorenzo etc.
-
Thank you for the prompt reply.
No, I'm not using any preventative treatments. I would like to avoid them (if possible). Would you be able to tell me if I could pick up Rogaine or Propecia in Japan, by any chance?
I certainly would not be opposed to traveling somewhere for surgery. I'll do some research and try to find a suitable doctor.
Given what you have seen from my pictures, do you think surgery would be right for me?
Thanks again,
Jeremy
I think you need to get on propecia, give it a year, see if your hair loss stabilises and reassess, if you don't stop your hair loss further progessing it's absolutely pointless getting a HT, because by the time it grows in you will have lost more hair, if you can stabilise the hair loss you'll see good results from a ht because you still have a lot of native hair, if you don't stabilise your hair loss it will most likely progress moving you up the NW scale meaning more grafts and less chance of a successful outcome!

So I've been thinking of getting hair surgery for awhile now and thought about a place I've been seeing a lot of for the past few years HAIR TRANSPLANT | Hair Restoration | Hair Surgery | Hair Transplants in Nashville via a dr matthew huebnar.
It's mainly been the front of my head. I'm trying to find my best options and better doc if at all. I would like to know what you all recommend and btw my head has pretty much finished going bald. All is welcome.
I'm 24 and I guess it's wavy or curly when longer
What's the density like on the shaved back and sides? I agree that u certainly need to get on medication and then be prepared to travel for the best doc, for strip my top 3 would be Hasson, Rahal or Konior. The only one I'd trust personally with FUE would be Lorenzo.
-
Hi, two questions.
1. How long after FUE HT is it safe to use minoxidil?
2. How long after HT do the transplanted hairs fall off?
Thanks.
answer to both questions is 2 weeks

No1 else have any thoughts?
-
2500 is low if your after a 1 pass surgery with your current hair loss IMO! Also your 3 chief reasons for choosing your doctor were price, location and availability?! Seriously? Come on mate they should be at the bottom of your list! The best surgeons will have a waiting list and you should be prepared to travel!
-
I can't see any post ops??
-
Not really results... Nothing's grown yet... Who's to say any of them will if it was done in a beauty saloon?!
-
heres my thoughts.... going off reputation, I've had tremendous results from dr hasson, and IMO he's in the top 3 for pretty much every category (except FUE, because he doesn't do it)
1) best hairline doc - Dr Rahal
2) best crown doc - Dr Wong
3) best mega-session doc - Dr Hasson (hands down)
4) best FUE doc - Dr Lorenzo
5) best scar revision doc - Dr. Lindsey
6) best repair doc - H&W (both doctors tremendous - see Jotronic)
7) best body hair/beard hair FUE doc - Dr Umar (by experience alone)
8) best value doc (budget clinic with good results) - Dr Koray Erdogan (wouldn't call his a budget clinic but the prices seem very good - 2.5 euros per graft FUE with a world class surgeon)
there aren't many surgeons id trust with my scalp but all those listed above plus probably Dr Feller, Dr Konior, Dr Shaprio, Dr. Feriduni and Dr. Bisanga
My personal top 5 would be (in no particular order)
Dr Hasson
Dr Rahal
Dr Lorenzo (my only choice for FUE)
Dr Konior
Dr Feller

Just a quick update .....
For those that were interested to see how the beard grafts appeared post procedure. I was advised that I could shave after a week of my procedure and to be honest I could not wait !
As soon as the 7 days were up I shaved the very next morning on day 8 as my beard hairs were removed on two consecutive days.
In all honesty it felt strange to shave and I may have had a little numbness in my cheeks. Having shaved on day 10 that feeling has disappeared and now it feels just as normal.
I am attaching pictures taken on day 4/5 and Day 8/9 (bearing in mind the left and right side were extracted on consecutive days)
Pepe ......
thanks for sharing your experience, I'm a big fan of Dr. Lorenzo's FUE work, I'd definitely consider him for a scar repair myself! 3 quick questions.... were the beard hairs used for the scar repairs? were any scalp hairs used in the scar and lastly were you given the option to extract from under the chin rather than the side of your face?
-
If you had to name the best doctor under the specific categories who would it be? One doctor per category, you can use the same doctor multiple times.... Thought it could be a fun/good thread, obviously opinions are going to differ but this could be a useful thread for people looking into a HT for a specific task
1) best hairline doc
2) best crown doc
3) best mega-session doc
4) best FUE doc
5) best scar revision doc
6) best repair doc
7) best body hair/beard hair FUE doc
8) best value doc (budget clinic with good results)
-
Great result. Especially a fan of the subtle temple point work that Hasson did--not something that most people would notice explicitly, but makes a big difference in the overall impression. Good hair color for you, too.
Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback, the hair actually isn't dyed in any of the pics but it does look a different colour in all of them... Weird!lol
-
looking very solid, I wouldn't mess with a good thing.
the pics seem to indicate a relatively thick head of hair that is easy to style
what dosage of Propecia are you on btw?
Yeah mate it's pretty thick, just takes a couple of mins 2 style, don't need any intricate combing!lol my scalp is not visible at all since the crown was also addressed. I'm very happy, as for propecia I'm just on the standard dose boots prescribe 1mg daily I believe... I could be wrong though. Considering I'm now almost 6 years post op from the main Hasson op it's holding up tremendously! I highly recommend dr Hasson to any1 considering a ht
-
wow amazing result!! congradulations
But the question is are you going to loss your natural hair ? not the transplanted one
Well almost 6 years on now and no signs of any thinning as of yet...
-
Congrats! Looking really good. I honestly don't think you need any more grafts in the front. I reckon you can kick back and enjoy your hair and save the money for a few years down the road (if needed).
Thanks for the response! I'm pretty happy 2b fair, dr Hasson is a complete legend IMO

after 3 ops with Dr Hasson myself i concur ur in great hands, and he is such a nice genuine guy! I had great results from him and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others! As for vancouver, having spent a total of 6weeks there over the years it feels like a second home! Dr hasson is the best in the world at what he does... giving people high on the NW scale great hair!
