I saw dr wesley for the one year review. This was my second transplant with him. The first was 1800 grafts the second 258.
the same area of center front amazingly still bothers me.  He kept saying it looked great but it obvious there is still a problem there.  He suggested 1) doing nothing, 2) exosome and 3) 300-500 more grafts.  I asked why he didnt suggest mire grafts last time, he said he felt the original 200 he should suggested was enough.  I am a bit upset.
i will probably do the 300-500 grafts but not happy about it.

Is he offering that for free or at a discount?

That would be interesting. I hope there's enough collaboration to make sure we are not being redundant across experiments, while also making sure we get enough of a sample size to account for patients who might just be outliers.

The most important thing as mentioned by Dr. Bisanga is to lower variables. That can only be done by collaborating.

    10 Month Update

Happy with where things have ended up. The left temple hairline is a little thinner than the right, though we did use more grafts in the right as there was more recession here. Granted, my hairstyle doesn't help that! I do plan in a couple of years when my crown is needed to get a top up in the left temple, which Bicer said would likely be necessary. But still - happy with the result.

The only reason I would mind is if this somehow comes back to harm my prospects, such as the clinic not taking kindly to me sharing the e-mail publicly or, hypothetically, you disputing the change in value because you'd then have a screenshot of another patient's quote with a cheaper price per graft, which they would then trace back to me and decide not to do business with me. I must admit, I have no idea if either of these scenarios would happen, obviously, but I don't know if I'd want to risk it to prove... something that I know is true?

@Melvin- Admin What is your stance on this? I've read the rules and there doesn't seem to be anything against this. Would it be fine, perhaps, if I send the e-mail to you while covering my personal details so you'd be so kind as to verify that it's true?

I would not share a private conversation here publicly.

"Male patients with androgenetic alopecia that had received OD for at least 12 months were included."

Terrible study design. Make it make sense.

This is one study I quickly pulled up. It may not be the low-dose study. He has dozens of studies on pubmed i’ll ask him to send me the link. End of the day, im only relaying what he’s saying he’s observing clinically. Im no doctor or researcher, so you can form your own observations, and by no means do you have to follow what he says.

  6. Dr. Galvans protocols are based on his own clinical trials which have been published. He found the best results were 0.5mg taken over 3 consecutive days. Now, you can adjust this based on what you can tolerate. But this protocol is based on what he observed clinically. It has nothing to do with marketing.

Also, I was looking at my phone just now and remembered that I was brushing my hair last weekend (roughly the 6-month mark) after my late-morning shower and was so astonished at how thick it felt, so I snapped a few quick random impromptu pics:

    6-Months-Crown.thumb.jpg.a593b787fbd89e63d5ba538b35683ebb.jpg

[The crown bald spot has shrunk substantially from before, and isn't even "bald" anymore so much as just kind of thin - and even that is somewhat mitigated by my scalp being a little grey from some older SMP I had done awhile back; I doubt anyone would even peg it as a "bald spot" anymore, which brings me endless joy. Old incision scar is basically obliterated at this point as well.]

[Here's my midscalp, at like noon under the bathroom vanity lights on a VERY bright, sunny Saturday, and I can't really pick out any visible scalp!]

    6-Months-Top2.jpg.375f14c5c0352c6b0177ee689b35494e.jpg

[After looking at the previous pic on my phone, I decided to try my luck and aggressively brush all my hair straight forward/down because that doesn't allow for any clever cross-hatching or comb-over action to hide thinness, thus exposing maximum scalp, especially under bright lights - and I still can't really pick out any scalp showing! It's so bushy and thick now, it's almost hard to brush sometimes and it makes me so irrationally happy like a child! 😝]

    .

So yeah, that's 6 months! At this point it might thicken up a little more - but to be honest, beyond my crown maybe possibly thickening up just a little more (and that's not even a necessity at this point), I couldn't really even ask for more! Another win for Dr. Gabel, eternally grateful for his skills and everything I learned from this community!

Dr. Gabel is one of the best in the business no doubt about that!
