Quick question, What is the best method to cut the Proscar into 1/4's any advice? Pill cutter.. any better methods? I tried a sharp sharp knife and it worked but it doesn't look even! Thanks Also any severe side affects with that dosage? I am 34 years old..

You look great Bobman! I am having my procedure done in a little over a month! Looking at 3500-4500 graphs and most likely will have to have a second one someday also. Looking at your results gives me inspiration and hope! Todd

Vancouver is a beautiful city, there is quite a bit to see! My Fiance and i are relocating to Seattle Early fall and have been to Vancouver 2 times while visiting Seattle. It's been awhile but i'm sure the city is even more beautiful! I am a little Bias being that i love the Northwest part of the country! Enjoy and Best of luck with your procedure! Todd

Best of luck unfortunate, you are in good hands, you can tell Dr. feller really cares if he didn't he would not even bother to reply and get in contact with you. If all the Dr's in the world were open to do that this world would be a better place! Kudos to every Dr. on here who contributed and most of all to you Unfortunate!

My Advice would be to listen to these guys, research and then research more! I am in the chicago area and narrowed my search down to Dr. Shapiro, Hasson & Wong and Dr. Konior and the end i scheduled my procedure with Dr . Shapiro. PLEASE listen to the people on this site they will not push you in the wrong direction and do your own research! I would take a look at the 3 Doc's above and schedule online consultations with them! All three are world class and you can't go wrong with any of them!

Talked a little more with Dr Shapiro today and will be talking to him tomorrow to go over in detail the areas we are going to focus on etc.. He has been nothing but first class and professional. To offer up his time at 5pm on a thursday to discuss with me what the plan would be is great! I didn't even ask he offered! I am scheduled on 6/29/2009. once again thanks everyone! Comfort level and the conversation i had with Dr. Shapiro and Matt, location is 5 hours away so it still involves travel.. Cost was not an issue. And the honest up front consultation from Matt. Talking with Dr Shapiro today again was great, you can tell he Cares! Thanks! There was no pressure at all from SMG! Hi Everyone! Seems like we got into a tough conversation! I appreciate all the input from everyone! But can we do one thing together for eactother, Would we all agree that Dr Shapiro, Dr's Hasson & Wong and Dr Konior are all towards the top of the there chosen fields? (along with a few others also)I love this forum because all the help i have been given on choosing the great surgeon i will be having my procedure with. If i can interject one thing, please keep in mind that there are millions of others out there who need help just like i did and all of you did in the past and may in the future. THAT is why i am here! I have received some great advice from all of you and have spoken to a few of you on the phone and that has really helped me! In the time before my procedure i will continue to post on here and seek advice and will be open to ANYONE who wants to talk to me and ask me for advice on how i made my choice with the Doctor i went with. After the procedure i will post pictures not to advertise for the Doctor but to HELP other people who have questions in regards to the process and what to expect! I will always offer my time to talk to anyone who needs some guidance and advice in regards to HT surgery. That being said the Dr i am having the procedure with does not need me to advertise for them and even if i was offered 100,000 to do it i would not, it's not about money it's about helping myself and others through a very tough choice they are trying to make. To answer the question that was asked above, I will be having the procedure with Dr. Ron Shapiro and the Shapiro Medical Group. I really feel that Hasson & Wong and Dr. Konior are both great surgeons also. In the end i was able to choose from 3 of the best and i felt more comfortable with Dr. Shapiro after speaking to Matt and consulting with the Dr. Once again i look forward to talking to all of you in the near future and will reach out to the people i have spoke to and have helped me throughout the process. I would also love to talk to more of you! The more advice i can get the better! ( Send me a PM of you would like to talk) I also look forward to helping others with advice who are doing research! Also thanks on the advice as far as the 3's and 4's. Either doctor has seen me in person and i would think and hope they would adjust up or down as needed on a case by case basis as online consults only give you so much. Once again thanks

Thanks Kaounis, I really am only trying to gather info and the best place to get that from is people with experience. I am not trying to hurt anyone and still have a consult with Dr. Konior. I think you are right about seeing me in person they would be able to make the best choice as far as treatmeant, Thanks for the help and i agree no one should ever put down another Dr!

Very good point, my next question would be would Dr Shapiro do the same amount if i decided to go with him..

And other side thanks for the help, both are World class just wanted some feedback in regards to the difference! Also there seems to be some bad blood in regards to the consultant from H&W and Dr. Shapiro's office, The gentlemen from H&W while very knowledgeable did not think highly of the person who did the consult from Dr. Shapiro's office. But he spoke highly of Dr. Shapiro! That was nice to hear!
