  1. oh and one last thing (again)... once the redness was gone (or the majority of it) the zogzag pattern is not noticeable at all. This happens around day 10
  2. Also, the Dr gives you a discount if you are from abroad like me. And he gave me some free grafts too (If you ever read this, THANK YOU!).
  3. Hi! Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been busy keeping up with work. View image: IMG 4273 Anyways, this is 17 days post-op... I shed some hair around day 10 while removing the crust (I was told it's normal). But since then I've shed very little, I will probably shed in the next few weeks though... who knows. No one knows I did surgery so far... and Im loving the results! I can finally go out without a cap (its been sooo longg since last time I did that without being concern of my reciding hairline :'( ...) So faar I can say this has been the best decision I've ever made. To answer some questions, yes he is a REALLY busy doctor, I tried booking him back on October .. got my appointment til January 21st (so thats good if you ask me). I'm jsut waiting for the shedding to come or maybe I will be one of the lucky ones who wont shed (knock on wood). Oh I restarted rogaine 2 weeks post op and started with 0.25 mg Propecia ED 10 days post op (I was hesitant but ultimately decided to go for it). So far no noticeable sides and shedding is minimal (5 hairs max during hair wash). I can finally feel I'm winning the war against hairloss after 10+ years of living with this condition Let's see what happens in the next year Oh and my transplanted hair is shorter than my native hair, but I can definitely tell its growing and catching up
  4. I asked for the FUE max, they said its 2500. I would say its open for discussion, but I think if you need that amount, you will have to go for FUT instead of FUE if you want that # of grafts in one go.
  5. He draws the hairline first based on the # of grafts you are planning to get and just fills it in. In my case I asked for the best results he can get in one go and since I wanted FUE the max is 2500 grafts (although sometimes ive seen other patients of his that get slightly more grafts) So based on 2500 grafts he drew the optimal hairline and went from there. In my case he lowered my hairline quite a bit, which I love
  6. It all depends on the # of grafts and technique used. They have a chart depending on your needs. He has very good prices compared to other Dr's out there. I'm very happy so far with what I got for what I paid.
  7. I hope so too, this seems like an endless struggle. I recently did a 2500 FUE seems like I will need more procedures in the future if I dont stop my thinning now. Minox did wonders to my hair but i dont think it alone is the solution. Hopefully someone will have a working regime fin free Thanks for the input wazaam!
  8. Thanks! He has a great reputation, lets see how this goes so excited!
  9. I would like to start by saying that I do not deny the effectiveness of finasteride (I used it and had great results) and I dont hate it. I actually envy whoever can use it without sides. But like many, I had really bad sides (they were real, I had no idea about the "post finasteride syndrome" back in the days, so it was not in my head). Anyone in these forums who can post a successful fin-free regime to *maintain* (I dont expect regrowth) existing hair? This would help many people like me I believe. Some pre-requisites: -You must have used them yourself (not someone you know). -It must maintain your existing hair, not just some "slow down". -It must maintain your current hair for over a year. -Finasteride free. -You must post the specifics including dosage (how much, when and how). And please... this is not to hate on finasteride, so dont post stuff defending its use, as most of us know, it works. This thread is rather for the unlucky people like me who cant take it
  10. yeah I've been doing research on the reduced fin dosage and for some it works! I will try with minox+SP+Biotin combo to see if it holds, if I notice further thinning then I will try a reduced dose of fin. I will let you know how that goes
  11. You are right, so If you dont mind sharing, whats your regime? Im willing to try anything except for fin (I had the sides without knowing the symptoms and fin were related).
  12. thanks Gram!!! You've been extremely helpful Do these supplements help maintaining hair based on your experience?

  14. Hi Just did 2500 with Dr Diep!!! (after lurking these forums for years!). I'm in a bit of a rush so I will keep this short I dont have a breakdown of the grafts or how they were distributed in my head, I've asked for this info but I guess the Dr's staff is quite busy. Other info: - I'm Asian, currently 29. - Got Acell shot (I think). - balding since 14???. - Stopped Propecia due to sides. - I will only use rogaine (been using it for years) and supplements to maintain existing hair (Biotin and Saw Palmetto), Im new to supplements and Im not sure if they will help. So far I'm pleased but I wont be happy til I see some results Before: Day 1: Day 5: Day 6 (Today): What do you think? I have some questions in regards to my transplant, if anyone cares to answer and help me, here's the thread http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/178229-just-did-2500-fue-when-can-i-start-taking-supplements.html
  15. Hi All! I finally did my FUE (will make a separate thread on it later). I have a question! Im at day 6 post Op. Im currently taking antibiotics as suggested 3 times a day by the Dr. I bought Biotin and Saw Palmetto... is it ok to start taking these vitamins now? and whats the right dosage? (Biotin - chewable 5000 mcg, Saw Palmetto 450 mg capsules). Or should i wait until im done with the antibiotics to start taking these? By the way I dont know much about either supplement, are they good? I dont expect regrowth from either but to keep my natural hair instead (combined with Minoxidil). Anyone with experience on these supplements? I cant start rogaine til 2 weeks post op mark. PS: Yes I know, I should take propecia, but I've experienced the sides (im one of the unlucky ones) so its not an option for me.
  16. Hi I just had a 2500 FUE session with Dr Diep, so far so good, are you taking any meds like propecia? Great results by the way, your post helped me jump the Dr Diep bandwagon! Oh and one more question since its been a while, hows everything? do you feel like you need another transplant?

  18. I've been looking through the internet for weeks and there are so many versions on this topic. I would like to know from someone who have been on Minox (alone, no finasteride) for 5 -20 years. To be clear I want to know the following: 1) Will I ever lose the gains i have from Minoxidil if I continue using it religiously twice a day 5% for the rest of my life? Note: I am not talking about regrowth Im just talking about maintaining what I have so far. 2) If so, when? Looking forward to hear from your experiences. I would prefer anecdotal replies if possible, as there are 100000+ theories out there and many from people who haven't used the product alone for that long.... THanks!!!
  19. Hi All, I've been using Minoxidil for the past month (5% liquid), I am already pass the initial shedding process and now I don't experience any shedding, so it seems its working just fine. I dont take finasteride or any DHT blockers (I get all the sides) and Nizoral actually makes my hair fall. For the time being Minoxidil by itself is doing the job. My question is: I will start going to the gym and do lots of weight lifting with the intention of gaining muscle (no protein shakes, no creatine, just healthy natural diet). Will Mixoxidil be able retain my hair ? Will it be enough to compensate the Testosterone boost i will get? I would like to hear from someone doing it. Thanks!
  20. no prob guys! Just a quick update. I just made another test and its confirmed.... Nizoral makes my hair fall for sure.... I massaged my scalp before applying nizoral and just 1 hair shed (i did this multiple times). Then I put on some SMALL amount of nizoral on my head and BAM 10 soldiers died in action....No more Nizoral for me. Now im trying to apply Minox twice a day, maybe my body can take it now without the sides (with the 0.5 dosage). I will keep you posted.
  21. Awesome! What kind of laser? I would like to try! any specific model? Where can I get it?
  22. I just bumped into this post Dr. Williams 3068 graft session - Forum By and for Hair Loss Patients It seems like laser therapy is working for this guy and Dr. Maybe Dr Feller can ask him directly how does it work, the results looks amazing.
  23. Impressive... I always thought of laser treatment as a gimmick. I cant use propecia (I got all the sides). Did he use Minoxidil too (or anything else)? or only laser treatment?
