  1. John: Get yourself some neem oil from the link below. It should help clear up the red frontal area and pustules surrounding that frontal area IMHO. It's stinky but leave it on for at least 30 minutes (longer if you can) a few times a week. See if that clears up the inflammation. (Neem is stinky but will not harm your skin. In fact, it has good stuff in it and will clear up alot of skin problems.) Give it a try, you won't be out much money if it doesn't work, but I'll bet it might help. http://www.neemresource.com/Neem&KaranjaOil.html
  2. Well, that's the end of Phil's woes!! Ever since I've been coming to these hairloss sites, Doc Feller has been great! Real good hair transplant surgeon IMHO.
  3. Just read most of this thread John. Just want to say that I sympathize with your situation. Hang in there. It wasn't a good result but you don't look that bad to me. You still look like a man. Edit: I hope you win your lawsuit.
  4. Boy, I don't know Bill. These are the pros and since alot of them here are saying, for all intents and purposes, to "forget about it", then I'm going to "forget about it".
  5. Both times my hairs started shedding at 2 weeks. My last one was two weeks ago and there is definite shedding once again at two weeks. Oh well.
  6. Thanks for the info. Bill, I had forgotten the timeline. Thanks again!
  7. I'd do what the doctor said. Just got my 2nd transplant and only wash once a day. I went to Tessler & Arnovitz, PC and Dr. Arnovitz told me the same thing (i.e., wash once a day). I use emu oil and/or rose hip oil to get rid of dryness instead of aloe vera. No reason really, just never used aloe vera because emu oil and rose hip oil helped me alot with both HT's.
  8. EastCoast: I've been browsing this site for a while now. What clinics do you recommend for an HT?
  9. I hate to say it guys, but if it weren't for the franchises, HT's would be about as common as finding an alchemist that could really make gold out of lead.
  10. Big: Dr. Epstein apparently performs alot of HT's on people with very curly hair. Dr. Epstein
  11. I think the Doctor did a FINE job. You'll be happy, hang in there!!
  12. The Folligen is a great idea IMHO. I mix it 50-50 with distilled water and it has improved my scalp condition. You can buy the Folligen for blondes (it has tin peptides instead of copper peptides). It's a clear solution and is supposedly almost as good as copper peptides.
  13. Yes, my doctor kept me "loaded" up with fruit juices during the entire procedure.
  14. Good going Border!! My experience was alot like yours. I did have some shockloss however and the hairs did shed from the grafts. At 11 weeks the "seeds" are starting to sprout. Probably some of the shockloss hairs coming back also. (My doctor said the shockloss hairs usually come back a little sooner than the HT hairs.) Good luck!
  15. Anyone know, or have an idea on the percentage of private HT doctors that started at the hairmills?

  17. I understand Robert. Heck, I think I understood this type of thing since I was a kid, let's see, that was around 1902 I think. The doctors charge us, we charge them, tit for tat baby!!
  18. For all you newbies, like myself, the doctors posting regularly on this site are required to pay a membership fee annually. I was unaware of this. Keep this fact in mind newbies when conducting your analysis of doctors. I would assume there are alot of doctors out there that perform good HT's that choose not to pay a fee to post their advertisements here. The fact that doctors are required to pay a annual fee should be made public so all us newbies can factor this in when making our choices. There's nothing wrong with this practice IMHO. Nothing wrong with charging for advertising. I mean, look how much doctors charge us for an HT!!

  20. MSM has definitely worked for me. Hair is growing faster. So are my toenails though!!!
  21. Here's a recent article that was posted on another forum. (It's coming people!!) http://www.rockefeller.edu/pubinfo/news_notes/rus_101504_a.php
  22. East: It's probably not as bad as you think it looks. Toppik is good advice, toupee, etc. Btw, I doubt anyone will react the way you're worrying about. If someone does react like a child, the other people at the meeting will think he/she is an a**. Also, what's wrong with telling your client what you did? Most people would find it very interesting. Those that don't - well - maybe we could call them IDIOTS!
  23. Oh, there's no doubt about that Gill. (I'll probably be dead in 20 years anyway!! ) My rank layman's guess is that HM is still quite a ways down the road. But it will come IMHO. Medical science is doing things with gene therapy, research, etc., that I would NEVER have dreamed of 30 years ago.
