  1. Yes Robert I sometimes think my getting an HT was silly and shallow. Both of the women I am close to could care less about my thinning hair. (5A)
  2. Smoothy: Hair manipulation is the way of the future. No doubt it in this old man's opinion. It will be the "norm" in the future.
  3. There's no doubt in this old man's mind that this technique will eventually be the norm for "curing" baldness. Give it another 20 years and FUT/FUE will be a thing of the past. It's comparable to radial kerototamy being replaced with laser surgery for curing nearsightedness. Curing baldness in the next 20 years will be "child's play" compared to what our generation has had to undergo IMHO.
  4. Glad to hear that smooth scalp is a good sign. That's what I have also. Been 8 weeks since my first HT.
  5. Els: I'm pretty much in the same boat, it took two weeks before the shockloss but it was pretty similar to you. I had my HT on 9-3-2004 so I'm DEEP into the waiting game. Hope it turns out ok. Glad to hear the moderator feels this is normal!!! Btw, I'm a 5A also, but more diffuse thinning.
  6. I'm new here but thanks for the info. on Dr. Tessler. From the postings he is obviously a good HT doctor. I had an HT on 9-3-2004 from Bosley in Chicago. I feel that Dr. O'Hare was very experienced even though most forum members hate Bosley. Oh well, time will tell. No problems yet. I seem to be experiencing the normal type of HT progression. Small scar, no bumps, etc. However, I did have some shockloss. Just waiting to see how it all turns out. I had 2210 grafts placed into my old 5A scalp. Anyway thanks for the info. on Dr. Tessler. He appears to be a very good HT doctor.
