Hey NYC,
When I went in for surgery with Dr Koray, he drew on a hairline that he thought suited my face, which because my face is quite square so he drew more of a rounded hairline. However I asked for a more straight hairline which he altered for me. My after surgery pics are not really able to show this but I will post some better pics on my thread tomorrow if this helps.

Thanks HT,
I seriously doubt I will get growth before you, being nearly twice your age an all, but if I do bring it on!

Hi all, here is my experience -
After 12 months of researching Hair Transplants, Doctors and FUE I decided to have my surgery done with Dr Koray Erdogan of ASMED in Istanbul. The reason I chose him was from seeing on this and other forums his great results especially with the frontal hairline which was my main concern.
I traveled from Sydney to Istanbul to have 3200 FUE on the 25th of November 2015
All in all I had a great experience and would not hesitate to recommend Dr Koray Erdogan and all his staff, who were all very friendly and professional - especially my personal ASMED co-ordinator Sevinc who organized everything about my stay, from surgery dates, accommodation right down to airport and hotel transfers. The ASMED clinic was what everyone on this forum has been saying - extremely clean and modern, very impressive.
The surgery only took 1 day - starting at 8 am it took Dr Koray's experienced technicians around 4 hours to do the extractions, then half hour lunch, back in for Dr Koray to do the incisions which took around 45 mins, then the rest of the day till around 6pm for the technicians to complete inserting the grafts. I was back at the hotel eating and watching TV by 7pm. It was much less of a ordeal than I thought it would be. I apparently went to sleep after watching a movie while the surgery was going on.
Below are my personal before and straight after surgery photos. The after photos look quite red, sore and swollen but honestly I experienced very little pain throughout the whole thing. In the next few days after surgery I have been quite surprised how fast I have healed up and how quickly the swelling subsided. Will post 5 days after surgery photos tomorrow.

No worries, That's great it seems to be the best card for international travel.
Yeah carrying that much cash is a bit of a worry. It sux but it's just a risk we have to take. I carried pretty much all the cash in one of those under clothes cash concealer wallets that you can buy from traveling bag shops with the zippers and it straps around your waist. . The only time i had to take it off was when they put me through that whole body x-ray machine and one of the security guards held it for me, but with any luck you wont have to do this.

Hey Eddie any update on your progress?
-
Hey BGC,
I'm booked in with Dr Erdogan on the 25th of November for 3000 grafts. I will be posting my results on this forum if you wish to follow.
-
Healing up well! Donor area looks great. Temple points seem to blend in well too.
-
Erkso - Thats great we can compare each others progression. I was over Istanbul last week and saw HT-FUE have surgery. The hospital is really modern and clean. Dr Erdogan and staff super proffessional and friendly, and HT-FUE looks like his FUE will turn out great. It gave me confidence to see it first hand.
-
Hey Betterlate
Im having 3000 fue with Erdogan on the 25th of November and hopefully will get the temple points put in like yours. Have they grown out like the rest? I cannot see from your latest pics.
Your result looks great mate.

Cant wait to see your results HT. Just got back to Australia today and was told i may be able to get surgery with Dr Erdogan late November so I will be a month behind you. This forum still will not allow me to add you or erkso as friends.

Hey HT,
Great to hear you are all set to go. I will be going down to have the hotel breakfast at 7am and will probably hang there for a while, hopefully see a few that have just had surgery with any luck. Will be wearing a black cap and black t-shirt hope to see you then but if not, then catch up this afternoon. My appointment is at 3pm. How long are you staying at the hotel for?
All the best with your surgery!

Hey Erkso72 was Dec 8 the earliest you could get in with Erdogan? I have booked an initial consultation with him on the 23rd of oct and all going well hoping I can book in for surgery around early dec with any luck. Flying out of Sydney for a 27 hour haul on the 21st to istanbul :-/
-
Hey DJMFFT and Raman, I'm booked with Erdogan 8 Dec. I'll send each of you a friend request and we can swap notes.
Hey ersko
Hopefully after my consultation I can book in for my HT around December as well but maybe I will have to wait longer...
-
I set off from the uk 21st arrive in Istanbul 22nd and operate 23rd so if you have yours on the 20th I should see you there hopefully
pm me and keep me updated
Hey HT-FUE I'm only visiting his surgery for an initial consultation with Dr Erdogan at that time. While I'm there I will pay my deposit and book in for surgery at a future date, hopefully as soon as possible, but i believe there is usually at least a month to two month waiting list for him.
I will be arriving in istanbul on the 22nd now and hopefully be staying at the Raddison? hotel where I think a lot of Erdogans patients stay while they are getting their HT. Are you staying at the Raddison by any chance?
-
Hey DJMFFT I am going to have an initial consultation with Dr Erdogan in three weeks, have a look at his surgery and then book in as soon as possible. Im hoping to get my consultation around the 20th of October. What are the dates of your surgery?
