  1. Cheers man, I'll PM you a link to my blog . Dr Doganay and Dr Ayhan were super nice and treated me so well. I see what you mean about how friendly they are.
  2. Hello Bazancourt. I am 23 and I am currently 8 days post op with Dr Hakan Doganay. Like you I didn't want to take pills or be spraying stuff in my hair forever, so the only way I could do that was to have an operation and be prepared for more in the future if my hair was to recede past the point it is at now. Fingers crossed it doesn't. Either way, Sept/Oct isn't that far away so make sure you research LOTS before booking. I have been researching for the past 3 years and thought I knew 90% of what to expect, but I am learning this week that there are still things that I did not know.
  3. I only saw one hook shaped and that was from gently massaging the scabs off. I'm sure you were/are fine and you're supposed to see a mixture. Don't sweat it, you'll be fine
  4. Thanks mate good to know it's going fine. Thank God for this forum and its members.
  5. Thanks Gillenator! I'll take your word for it as you always seem to know what you're on about
  6. Are they still growing? If so, consider yourself lucky as you have potentially just skipped the shedding phase. It's rare for it to happen but it does.
  7. New question: I'm now 1 week post op and I just found a hair with a hook type shape on the bottom whilst massaging the scabs. Is this normal?
  8. Surely after 9 days it's fine to straighten your hair as long as you're being careful? Non transplanted hair, that is.
  9. Hello all, I am 5 days post op and I have a few questions with a picture below: 1. Does everything look fine so far? 2. Am I right in believing that where I can't see hair but there is a scab, there is hair underneath it? 3. I found 2 hairs stuck together in white liquid, the bottoms weren't hook shaped nor was there blood, did I lose a graft? Additional info: Procedure was done with Dr. Doganay in Antalya, Turkey. 2000 grafts in the front only.
  10. Thanks mate! the internet has been down in the hotel I'm staying at but I'll be updating it later today. Thanks guys, I think I came across rude the other day when I didn't mean to be. I'll get a blog on here too once the internet improves in this hotel.
  11. That's a shame. I'm sticking to that blog as I have more control over when and what can be deleted and things. Ah well. If anyone wants to see it, PM me. If not, I won't keep updating it as I was mainly doing it to help others.
  12. Sure I can do that for you I am also worried about redness. Thanks mate and I will be
  13. Thank you Updated it now with a 24 hour post op picture.
  14. (Link removed by moderator) Hello all! Yesterday I had my procedure done with Dr. Doganay in Antalya, I'll be keeping track of my progress through this blog. No pictures have been uploaded yet due to me being on holiday still. Although I should be putting some up within the next few days. Feel free to ask me any questions (Link removed by moderator)
  15. While it is in early stages, many surgeons agree that Keratene Retard (the name makes it sound pretty shit..) is the next best thing. It's basically like Propecia but has no known side effects. I would link you but I believe it'd be taken down. I am 23 (nearly 24) and I'm having my procedure next week, I really hope I don't end up regretting it.
  16. Excellent! I'm booked in with him next week so this is really good to hear.
  17. Looks really good. Looks like you didn't have any problems with redness either. Did you get lucky with this or were you using something to reduce the redness?
  18. Thanks for the list, I'll make sure to get the shower cap and Neosporin, but the others I'd have to order from America and probably wouldn't make it here in time. Cheers though .
  19. Hello! As some of you are aware I am scheduled to see Dr. Doganay in a few weeks time and I have a few questions as to what to buy before. I am having the operation on my second day in Turkey and I am then there for a further 12 days, so I will need to buy a few bits before I go, I was thinking I would need these things: Biotin Spray OR Vitamin E Spray. Neck Pillow. Cotton Pads and aloe vera. Is there anything I have missed that would be essential? As it's going to be boiling out there, I plan to stay out of the sun for most of the day, but I will be wearing a hat (snapback) to shelter my head. Cheers.
  20. Excellent news Harir! Are you staying at the hospital or hotel? Hope it all goes good!
