others might disagree but I think 2000 for the front and another 1000 on top would make a massive improvement, which would be done in 1 FUE session, and you would have plenty of more donor area to choose from then even if you needed it BHT in the future

from my experience i was over it by the end of day 1, 3000 was all i could take, its a long long long day, 3- 4 hours of extraction and then 4+ of implanting, its uncomfortable, its a tough day, and then sleeping at night and then to do it all again the next day would be just way too much for me.

I believe there is enough research out there to avoid a massive FUE session, you run the risk of trauma to the donor area thus making a much higher risk for a low survival rate. If you are already fearful of a massive permanent scar just ditch the idea, its a very justifiable reason to say no to FUT. Perhaps 3000 FUE in the first session and the return a few months later after letting your head recover to return to add more.

first of all I would wait a few more years, as others suggested, buzz cut it see how you feel. Im sure your mates wouldn't care, in fact being an Aussie myself I know the jokes about going bald always happen when we tend to grow our hair out, the buzz cut tends to tell people I dont care what you think, so the jokes tend to be less. but if you are keen on HT sooner rather than later, seems like price point is a major factor in your decision, and I also think future hair loss should be a factor, NW3 at 21 is likely to go more to NW6, then you might need to buzz cut regardless, so one option is FUE overseas, of course I will suggest Dr Bhatti in India, as I have done many times, he gave me a decent result. feel free to PM if you want to know more. cheers dude

thanks again for your black and white numerical methods to approaching peoples needs, any other suggestions would be appreciated. Weighing up a personal desires and needs is more what I think an APP like this should be focused on, asking questions about Hair Styles, Family History, what NW level are you, suspected future hair loss, type of hair you are, what race are you, your age, show examples of good FUT good FUE and bad FUE and bad FUT. This could be an assessment calculator type APP, I actually think it would be beneficial to many guys out there,

some one should develop an HT App complete with a detailed Q&A to give the user their best option, I think if done correctly mud slinging would be reduced

during my stay with Dr Bhatti, he had maybe 4 or 5 other doctors observing him and learning from him, he actually has a small lecture room in his clinic im guessing cause he holds coaching sessions on FUE, his prices have actually gone up but remain standard price for the Indian market, feel free to PM about my two trips there,

you have great hair, kind of jealous.... If you are dead set on a HT please just stick to FUE. 2000 in the front is plenty for you. My personal FUE experience was with Dr Bhatti in Chandigarh India. Very happy to recommend him. All the best Seth

you're probably looking at minimum two procedures,

1800grafts for the front

1000 through mid section

2500 for the crown

being that most FUE sessions are 3000 max per day, and donor area is around 4000-5000 per person you may want to think about BHT as well.

a lot of FUE patients who just disappear after the initial euphoria of a procedure and a lot of FUE patients who need to return for top ups.

I fall under this "return for a top up" category, but I wouldn't call it a top up, it was always the plan, Dr Bhatti did not want to over harvest, there was only so much he could do in a day, its been 2 years Im booked in November, to thicken up the crown and fix the dislodged grafts that I was my own accident. Is my result perfect, I don't think so, but is the best result for minimal scarring and for price point, yes. My HT has completely changed my life, it has given back my confidence, I now manage a design studio in Chiang Mai where I have to deal with clients face to face and also deal with other designers and be in charge, something that before HT i couldnt do, from lack of confidence.

So the term euphoria also happened to me, but its still there, and over the past year or more I have hardly been on this forum, I simply got on living my life, perhaps thats another reason why these FUE pts disappear.

at some point along this thread I made the big mistake confusing this thread with a similar thread that a Dr here claiming FUT is more Popular than FUE, so some point I clicked on the wrong thread, case closed

IMO...

FUE clinics only show the best & cherry pick there Pts, for sample.. guys with great donor with good overall density which is clever sexy marketing, showing a shaved down donor on a pale guy looks very good indeed.

 

Same can be said to FUT clinics they show a great outcome with Pts who will never shave down.

 

All I can say don't believe everything you see on the news or read on the internet.

Its all Marketing & its up to us the Pts to work out what's best for us & once you made your bed then lay in it..

you know why i am so pro FUE, because I wanted a back up plan, I was not prepared to live a life marked in society if things did not pan out the way I had hoped, I believe that my out look is of more realistic than perhaps others have had been in the past, patients who are now left with massive scars that perhaps you or other FUT drs caused, and perhaps were over estimating your own achievements. HT industry is full of used car salesmen, you only have to see the 1000s of bad FUT results that have ruined lives, it is really sad that you don't see my point and probably the same views as many other new patients agendas, FUT does not have a back up plan, yet not one FUT dr will admit that.
