    This patient came in today for his 9 month follow up after receiving 2000 FUE grafts to his hairline in a one day session. He is stable on finasteride. Grafts were harvested with a 0.80 mm Vortex punch and placed with Hans Lion Implanters. All grafts harvested and placed by Dr. Vories. Full facial images used with permission of the patient. Bleached hair was the patient's decision!

    Thanks for the comments. This patients caliber was medium- estimated at 70 microns. I do not believe the finasteride had much effect on his procedure, but we place patients on it to maintain the non-transplanted hair.

    This patient came into the clinic today for his 6 month follow up after receiving 1500 FUE grafts in the bilateral apex areas and halrline. He is not currently on finasteride. 0.80 mm Vortex punch was used for extraction and Hans Lion Implanters were used for placement. All grafts were extracted and placed by Dr. Vories. He wanted to be placed on finasteride before addressing the vertex area. 0.80 mm Vortex punch used for extraction and Hans Lion Implanters were used for placement.     This patient came into the clinic today for his one year post-op visit after receiving 4000 FUE grafts in a two consecutive day session. 1500 grafts were placed in his vertex, and 2500 grafts were placed in his frontal forelock and halrline. He is stable on finasteride. Vortex 0.80 mm punch was used for extraction, and Hans Lion Implanters were used for placement. All grafts were harvested and placed by Dr. Vories. Full face images were used with permission of the patient.

    This is an unusual case of a 30 year old male who presented with a history of a severe scalp infection from an underlying GI illness 7 years ago. Scalp biopsy shows no continued infection, with resultant scarring hair loss. His hair loss has not changed over the previous 7 years. We decided to perform a test case of 100 FUE grafts in his posterior frontal forelock. He is now post-op 3 months from the test case, and is beginning to show growth. He is now scheduled for a 2500 FUE graft procedure in the affected area later this year, and we will keep this post updated.

    This patient came in for his one year follow up after receiving 3000 FUE grafts in a long one day session. He is stable on finasteride. Grafts were placed in his hairline, apex areas, midscalp, and crown. 0.85 mm Vortex punch was used for extraction, and Hans Lion Implanters were used for placement. All grafts were harvested and placed by Dr. Vories.

    His is actually 64- you are correct though, great hair for his age! We always review the grafting plan beforehand, with the limitation of 1500 grafts we decided the best use was in the hairline and apex regions. His frontal tuft is rather thin, but he has the option of addressing this in a future procedure. He is very happy for the time being with the surgical plan. Thanks for the comments!

    This gentleman came into the clinic today for his six month follow up after receiving 1500 FUE grafts in his frontal forelock and hairline. He is not on medication due to stable pattern over the past 10 years. Because of his hair length we did not require a total clip down of the scalp, and harvested in patches that were covered by his long hair. A 0.85 Vortex serrounded punch was used for the extractions, and grafts were placed with Hans Lion Implanters. All grafts harvested and placed by Dr. Vories.

    I want to add that we have contacted this patient and he is promising to show up for his one year follow-up. Believe me we will get detailed photos (wet and dry) at that time to put this to rest. I am asking that we be patient until that time. We post lots of before/afters, and hopefully these confirm that we do not use concealers or photo shopping of these photos. I still believe the addition of video comb throughs will be the best way to prove this, and we hope to be using videos exclusively in the future. Thanks!

    This patient came in for his 6 month follow up today after receiving 3000 FUE grafts in a one day session. We dye patients with salt and pepper hair with Just For Men black to prevent color bias during extraction. 0.80 mm Vortex punch was used for extraction, and grafts were placed with Hans Lion Implanters. Because of the large area covered, the patient was desiring a dusting of the entire area. We discussed a second procedure to add density, especially in the center frontal forelock, but he was happy with the results so far. All grafts extracted and placed by Dr. Vories.

    Thanks for the comments. It is a good question about recipient scarring. From the photos is difficult to tell unless you focus in on the upper ridge of grafts. But even then I cannot detect scarring. I would ask the patient to shave down for close up photos but I don't think he would be do it!

    What is ironic about this discussion is the patient we posted just one day later came in with concealers, and we gave him a hair wash to prevent the illusion of higher density. (He is the 3000 graft case we posted this just two days ago). As stated before, we do not use concealers. We do not stock them, sell them, or keep them in the office.

    I believe what could settle this issue is close-ups of the part-line, both in the vertex and frontal forelock. In the future we will be including these to show that our results are authentic.

    Uh- again that is simply not true. It would of been evident when we placed the Dinoscope on his scalp. When he returns for his one year follow-up we'll videotape the comb through.

    This patient came in for his 6 month follow up yesterday after receiving 2000 FUE grafts for beard restoration in a one day case. This patient has a history of keloid scarring, and because he wanted to keep his donor hair short was only interested in FUE. Donor areas before and after are also shown. 0.90 mm surrounded punch was used for the extraction and Hans Lion Implanters used for placement. All grafts extracted and placed by Dr. Vories.

    No worries. No concealers were used, we combed through hair before the photos to assess the potential of future growth, and were able to see down to the skin. I believe the result is due to his good hair caliber, and that finer hair would of led to a different result. Thanks!
