  1. I have some kinky hairs too. While not all of my hairs are kinky, there are a few scattered. I noticed most of the kinky hairs came from my 1st surgery. For me, these kinks have taken about 16 months to smooth out. Although not all of the kinks are smoothed....most are. I have read it can take a few hair growth cycles for them to work out the kinks and grow normal. Considering the length of my few kinky strands, I can tell they are still in hair growth cycle 1. I hope yours begin to smooth out also. I have a picture of my kinky strands posted in my album "random" I trimmed these off for the picture.
  2. I experienced shockloss with my second surgery. Both in the transplanted area and in the donor area. 1.) Transplanted area.....some (not all) of the hairs from my 1st transplant fell out about 2 weeks after my 2nd surgery,as did some natural hairs. 2.) Donor area.... I did loose native hair around this donor area and especially where the suture was tied at the end. I tend to swell really bad, even with the prednisone. I do not know if that contributed to the shockloss. Naturally, it is upsetting to see hair loss. Especially the hairs from my 1st surgery. Every hair I saw, I was counting the cost in the sink! I did know this could happen so I was thankful that I was educated. At 3-4 months, ALL of the hairs in the transplanted area and the donor grew back. THANK GOODNESS. The entire HT process is a waiting game. I have learned patience.

  4. White Lion - I understand what you are feeling. I am in the process of lowering my hairline now. It's a work in progress for sure! It's not done. But check out my pictures and you will have an idea of what the process would look like. I'm still growing in, so be nice. hehe. I do think your hairline looks perfectly nice for a man. But since you are gathering info...take a peek. Liberty.
