    I stumbled across this website of Dr. Shapiro which claims to sell a shake that causes transplanted hair to shed faster, not go into dormancy, and regrow faster than the timeline you would expect from a hair transplant. Has anyone tried this? Does it work? I've never seen it discussed on these forums. If this was legitimate I would think hair tranplant patients would be all over this.     Do pimples hurt the follicles? I had a pimple about 3 weeks in and when I popped it a little yellow thing with two tiny hair attached came out.

    I flew the day after mine and it was no big deal. Bumped my head on the overhead bins so be careful about that.

    I looked at options for going up to Canada because I've read good things about several of their clinics. Prices seem comparable with the US, BUT CANADA ADDS A 13% TAX! How do you get around that? Is there an option like when you travel to Europe of getting a tax refund at the airport? Or does this simply become an additional cost to an already expensive procedure?

    I know I'm not supposed to do it, but I can rub the palm of my hand down my head and pick up all kinds of little white pieces of skin. It feels like I have sand on my head that I'm rubbing off. I'm 7 days past the procedure. Impossible these could be hair follicles, correct?

    The worst parts are the anesthesia shots and the boredom. It's a pretty relaxed day otherwise except for the first hour or so and you can probably get up for the bathroom anytime if you give them a few minutes notice. Probably not a good idea to drink a lot before getting started.

    I'm 5 days in and after this morning's shower it looks like I have a bad case of dandruff. Is this normal?

    My doc prescribed bactroban for the scar but was very specific not to put it on the grafts.

    If hair is transplanted into a bald head cuts are made and transplanted follicles are put in place. What happened to the old follicles that used to be up there? Do the doctors need to work around them or do they just disappear over time?

    Wouldn't the beard hair grow faster than the other hair on your head?

    No, if I had your hair the thought of a hair transplant wouldn't have even crossed my mind. You look great with the hair you have.

    I think you look great. I've been concerned by the large number of graft numbers that are always thrown around and it's nice to see substantial your progress without one of those megasessions.

    Your #4 pictures confuse me a bit. The pre-op picture you posted looks great. You appear to have a full head of hair. It looks like a little work was done around the hairline then you proceeded to lose most of your hair on top. The current picture looks great again though. What did they do in the mid and crown area? And Why?

    ANY OF YOUR NATIVE HAIR in the area will fall out? I thought they always talked in numbers like 25% of native hair in the area?

    I can't search titles by a search term. Would like to search for doctor names.

    Why when I do a search in this forum does it only show a search of members rather then a search of title threads. I've used many web forums before and can't figure out how to search this one. What am I missing that's obvious?
