This young man underwent a FUT   session with Dr. Carlos K. Wesley in which a total of 2278 grafts were placed.

The patient’s hair follicles were incubated in platelet rich plasma PRP throughout the duration of the procedure.  This, combined with an ATP-containing storage solution has been shown to enhance survival of transplanted hairs.

As with all of Dr. Wesley’s patients, he was NOT required to cut his hair for the procedure.  As a result, this patient was able to return comfortably to work and social activities within approximately 7-10 days of his procedure.

The patient returned 12 months after his procedure and images of the patient can be seen below.

While all patients emphasize the importance of a natural-appearing hair transplant, this 33-year-old male was particularly adamant.

This dedicated 33-year-old did it!  By painstakingly capturing images of his scalp each day following his 2453 graft follicular unit transplantation FUT session with Dr. Carlos K. Wesley and team, he created a time lapse of his hair growth.   The patient’s hair follicles were incubated in platelet rich plasma PRP throughout the duration of the procedure.

Patients have heard of the possible "shock loss" of pre-existing hairs following the procedure as well as the recovery.  This video helps illustrate the process.

As with all of Dr. Wesley’s patients, he was NOT  required to cut his hair for the procedure.  As a result, this patient was able to return comfortably to work and social activities within approximately 7-10 days of his procedure.

In addition to capturing this detailed series of images at home, the patient also returned to the United Sates one year after his procedure and images of the patient can be seen in the video.

This male patient underwent a follicular unit extraction (FUE) session with Dr. Carlos K. Wesley in which a total of 2336 grafts were placed.

His hair follicles were incubated in autologous (his own) platelet rich plasma (PRP) throughout the duration of the procedure. This, combined with an ATP-containing storage solution has been shown to enhance survival of transplanted hairs.

Rather than a larger FUE punch used by a robotic approach, Dr. Wesley used a smaller caliber hand-held motorized punch to performed the donor harvest. This approach better enabled the capture of donor hair roots that are slightly curved beneath the skin surface. Upon completion of the harvest, the patient’s donor area was treated with PRP and ACell in order to not only minimize scar tissue formation, but also encourage partial regeneration of donor hair follicles.

The patient returned three years after his procedure and images of the patient can be seen below.

"While it cannot be assumed that all patients will develop a fuller hairline without a surgical intervention or without taking oral medication, this 35-year-old male benefitted from a non-surgical approach.

In addition to undergoing 2 Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP/ACell) treatments with Dr. Carlos K. Wesley, he also used a topical finasteride blend each night.  The high percentage and broad distribution of miniaturized hairs throughout his hairline made him a good candidate for this approach.

With this non-surgical approach to treating hair loss, he was able to reverse the biologic course of the thousands of miniaturized follicles atop his head and generate more hair fullness.  Dr. Wesley previously delivered an in-depth lecture on PRP scalp treatment for genetic hair loss detailing all aspects of this procedure.  The benefits and limitations of PRP procedures are described in this video for all interested patients who would like to learn more about this novel therapy.

The patient returned one year after his PRP treatment series (involving 2 procedures) and images of the patient can be seen below.

The Desire for Better Female Facial Framing (1229 grafts): Carlos K. Wesley, M.D. (NYC & LA)

This 70-year-old female had previously undergone an FUT session with a different clinic. She wasn't satisfied with the outcome and sought a better framing of her face with fuller temporal recessions. She can be seen before and one year after her session with our team.

Her hair follicles were incubated in autologous (her own) platelet rich plasma (PRP) throughout the duration of the procedure.  This, combined with an ATP-containing storage solution has been shown to enhance survival of transplanted hairs.

This patient had great hair characteristics not only due to the health of his hair, but also due to the lack of color contrast between his dark hair and darkly-colored scalp pigmentation.  This allows for better concealment of the scalp.  Now, the results would look even FULLER had he not colored his hair.  Akin to a white stripe across a black canvas, light hair on dark scalp appears to leap out more and provides the look of even more fullness

This 38 year old patient had a prior FUE session elsewhere.  As the before images reveal, he was left with a less-than-desireable outcome.  He came to our office for an FUE session in order to achieve the hairline fullness that he'd initially sought.  . He underwent an follicular unit extraction (FUE) session with Dr. Carlos K. Wesley in which a total of  1129 grafts were placed.

His hair follicles were incubated in autologous (his own) platelet rich plasma (PRP) throughout the duration of the procedure.  This, combined with an ATP-containing storage solution has been shown to enhance survival of transplanted hairs.
