Nice mate, growth looking good.!! U still got redness scatter on tht area...or my eyes deceiving me..enjoy new beginning .
Yes mate, I still got a little redness but one pic with the flash makes it look a lot redder than it is in reality, its really only in the last week that things have started to happen, i found the ugly duckling phase a lot tougher this time round which is strange considering i had a smaller session.
-
Great progress Johnny lad, gonna be a belter when it all fully matures, you'll be one hairy dude by next xmas!!

Looks fantastic, congrats Nick
-
Looks good in those pics pal, how are you feeling about everything now?
-
I really shed the most from about the third week through to the 5th week, on my first op i had some redness for 2 to 3 months after but you have darker skin than me so yours should go away quicker. Keep applying the aloe vera mate.
You can start scrubbing those scabs off on your crown a bit more roughly now, the grafts are well anchored at this stage so no worries dislodging one!
Interesting that the doc didnt use staples or have my eyes deceived me?
-
Congrats Neo mate, thats a nice number of grafts with also taking out your old scar.
Look forward to seeing your hair grow over the next year.

Cue - How large was the crown area that you had covered? Did you have a choice to leave the bottom ungrafted in order to add more density to the rest or you wanted even coverage throughout?
To be honest with you i havnt a clue mate, I just told the doctor to put in as many grafts as he could get from my donor and i let it up to him to design it all. He did mention that he planted a greater density at the top half of the crown and less at the bottom but i dont have the numbers per cm2 etc! Im pretty certain that i'll need to go back again a third time and hit some weak areas with fue.
I HATE MY BALD CROWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After your post in a new thread I'm reading I decided to have a look at your journey. F*****g amazing pal, you must be so happy! Can't wait to see the results for your crown.
Thanks Tommy, made up so far mate

Hi Mate, I had a similar hair loss pattern as you and my initial thoughts were i wanted my crown sorted first aswell. I hated it bigtime!
We all have a finite number of grafts available and we must use these wisely, the problem with the crown is it uses up a tonne of grafts to get a decent coverage, this is because the crown is a concave shape and has a larger surface area. The hair has to grow up and swirl around whereas for the hairline and midscalp the hairs can grow forward and can give a much better illusion of density.
So for me i went and concentrated on areas 1 2 3 and 4 for my first procedure then hit 5 and 5v for the second. Even at that i still believe i will need a third operation so its a long road for us high norwood guys unfortunately.

Congrats Denny, work looks superb, looking forward to following your progress.
You got an unbelievable hair to graft ratio of 2.76, loads of multi hair grafts which should give you a fantastic look in 12 months time

No mate they pump your scalp out that's why you get all that stuff running inside your face puffing your eyes post op. There's loads of gaps even on someone with ops of my size, remember you'll never have your scalp full like when you was a teen it's just coverage by illusion of thick terminal hair strand grown out long your actually scalp will still have plenty of gaps under coverage trust me.
I was a nw5a diffuse thinner and worried about my first ht would i get my native follicles transacted Dr Hasson said he had tons of spaces to work on with lots of clearance obviously I trusted him and he was right as he keeps on adding more and more in the middle of all my native and ht hairs now as well.
Cheers bonker, interesting that!

sometimes with scabs attached like these

Wow, that is some donor you have there dude, congrats! Thats a lot of time and effort over the years, hats off to you !! A true HT veteran!!
Incidentally, is it tricky implanting more grafts in between existing HT grafts? Ive often wondered should i need more work would there be a big risk of transecting existing grafts?

Guys, it looks good, I get comments everywhere, people notice that something looks better but do not know what, comments like "Are you going to the gym ?" (well, no..) and like "It looks good that you are not shaving your beard to 0" (well, I am not shaving it with a knife science high school..).
This comments says one thing, you look better, we do not know why, but you do !
I must say that the photos are with flash because the first photo that I send was with flash and I want to keep it with the same conditions, but when people look at me, they do not flash me so it looks even better...
nice one mate, I think using a flash can make a guy with a full head of hair look thin, Ive seen pics of some of my non balding friends on facebook where a flash was taken or they were under bright spot lights and you'd think they were very thin on top.
Glad you are happy

I have seen some nice improvement in just the last few days. Has anyone ever experienced that even just a week (During the 4-7 month timeframe) can make a big difference in density?
I experienced the same thing after my first op during this period, it just comes in spurts, 4 of 5 days can make a big difference.I always felt sort of a tingly sensation on my head and i remember thinking to myself, yup, they are off again lol then BOOM, big difference in density. I noticed this particularly between months 6 and 7
-
Outstanding work Dr Konior!
-
Definitely an improvement mate, the spot light probably not doing it justice either perhaps?
I think you will notice further improvements over the next 3-4 months
-
Right on track Cue. Rock on my crown friend.....6 months for you will be here before you know it.
Happy growing.
Thanks mate!

No dosage worked for me, didnt agree with me at all, I thinkif I even just looked at the tablet I would get sides lol
Everyone is different though, I think its a good idea to start off small to see if ur body can tolerate it. My doc was I firm believer in taking it everyday even it was .25 or .5mg a day, he believed it was more effective to take it consistently, just wasnt for me though!
-
Looks great at this early stage, interesting in that we had the exact same amount of grafts put into our crowns, i'll be thrilled if mine is like that in 6 months!
I believe you will continue to see the density get better and better over the next 12 months, they say crowns can take up to 18 months to fully mature!
