Hi Guys, Im new to this forum, appreciate the advice.
I need about 3000-3500 FUs and was owndering who you guys would recommend for a FUE procedure? Who is the best surgeon to carry this out basically?
thanks in advance
You wont go wrong with any one of the following
Lorenzo
Feriduni
Bisanga
Erdogan
Reddy
Maras
Good luck

Looks good. If I were you, I would hit it again with 1500 grafts but leave about 30-40 sq cm around the center swirl untouched so as to ensure you get a nice density boost all around it and get those side profiles looking good. I would NOT spread the 1500 evenly through out the crown.
I am eventually going to hit mine again with 1500 grafts and the above is also what I plan to do along with 200-300 tweaking the temples a bit.
By the way, I saw really nice improvement in my crown HT from 9-13 months so I bet you have more to go.
CD, thanks for the reply and advice

I flew home the day after on both occasions.
Went to clinic the morning after the ops for a cleaning and then went to airport.
Im glad i flew home the day after because i had swelling which kicked in from day 2 to day 7 and i wouldn/t have fancied staying in a hotel room for a week waiting for the swelling to go away

Attached are 9 month update pics
As i said in previous posts I am thinking of hitting the crown again with FUE, perhaps at the end of 2015 where I'll be 24 months post op at that stage. I would like to place grafts in the dip at back of crown and also add more density in the side profiles of the crown which i feel is an important area when looked at from the side.
Do you guys think it would be worth hitting the crown then with perhaps 1000/1500 more grafts? I have an estimated 2000 fue grafts available.
What do you guys think so far?

I would agree with dutch , its a long road, from experience i noticed the biggest improvement came from months 7-10
Well done on keeping the forum updated , reading actual patients' experiences with photos attached are gold dust for any guys out there contemplating hair restoration, hope it all kicks off for you soon mate.

Hi FUE2014
I would have no hesitation in booking again with Dr Feriduni, the clinic has done a great job on me in fairness, given that i was almost a norwood 6 with thin light straight hair
I have also been impressed with Dr Lorenzos crown work, I will be going down the FUE route on any further procedures so im keeping all options open at this stage
-
I will go for a 6 with the potential for an 8 after another op, but this is coming from a guy who was probs at minus a million before i started on this journey, a journey i knew was gonna be a long one
What I have noticed is that i still think about hairloss every single day , i often look at my pre ops pics to remind me of how far ive come but i had hoped i wouldnt be thinking about hairloss as much having had two HTs and just shy of 7000 grafts.

I have the same issues, pages are taking ages to load and messages posted are duplicated
It seems that the site is misconfigured in some way and its been like this for almost a week now, very annoying

You are correct chris, they charge €10 per graft, at todays exchange rates this equates to ?8 sterling or $13.40 usd per graft, they also charge €250 for a consultation, crazy prices.
As far as i am aware they only do FUT aswell
I had initially looked at this clinic in ireland but was put off by the price
Nesbitts work looks good though

Hi Cork
In terms of the meds it is considered a good idea to take them before a hair transplant procedure, i took 1mg propecia 12 months before my first op, but quit around 6 months after as i was experiencing annoying sexual/libido issues, ive actually started up again as im worried about my crown expanding, i just take .25 a day now and dont seem to be getting any sides so far
You dont need to take it to maintain new transplanted hair as they are dht resistant, it helps to preserve what you currently have left and may even regrow some hair
I noticed that it actually seemed to thicken my donor hair before my first op which is obviously a good thing.
I'd get on it straight away if i was you, start off on a low dose like .25mg a day for a few weeks, then up it gradually to .5mg and then 1mg if you feel that your body can tolerate the drug.

I was the same as you ridge after my first procedure, i didnt look normal till after about 4 months, nothing you can do but hold your head up high and ride it out, be proud that you have done something about your hairloss and that as each day passes your situation will improve
i didnt bother shaving down close, i just rocked a crusty the clown look for months and stared down any sons of bi**ches that looked at me, i think i either scared or embarrassed anyone i met cause no one mentioned a thing to me lol
-
wow pepe, you have been through a lot with the curse that is MPB!
you have come on a tonne from that first procedure with dr lorenzo, amazing what can be done with modern HT techniques in the hands of a talented doc, it was criminal what those other butchers done to you, you should rock a nice buzz cut at xmas, fingers crossed for you , good luck pal
-
Alot of grafts but really great yield. Intricate work as always.
very nice work as always doctor, could we have the graft breakdown for this?
i will need more work on my crown in the future, my crown loss was much worse that this chap and i just got 2350 grafts placed there
mickey do you think fue can be better for the crown in the sense that the doctor can pinpoint more of the multi hair grafts ? lorenzo seems to get awesome crown results without using tonnes of grafts but maybe the vast majority of these are those precious multi hair ones

Its still a strange way to do business especially dealing with international clients, i wouldnt like to be worrying about hauling up to 10k cash with me going through airport security or having to worry about being robbed etc!
I also wouldnt like that my HT surgeon could be a possible tax dodger, not saying this clinic is but it certainly opens up the possibility.
Most guys couldnt care less i guess as long as they get a great head of hair.

looking great at 6 and half months pal, midscalp is notoriously slow for growing and maturing, you have many months of improvement to come, enjoy the ride
are you considering going back again to put more in your crown?
-
sorry mate, you should have better coverage after 10 months with 4000 grafts, i would agree that whatever was extracted was placed over too large an area, they should have left your crown alone and worked from your hairline back into your midscalp. your case looked like a 2 or 3 procedure case from the start, possibly requiring 7000-8000 grafts to get decent coverage.
Your donor hairs do look good though, i would have a few consultations with some of the better european fue guys to see what they think, have you tried sending your pics to bisanga, feriduni or erdogan for example, i dont think your case is a lost cause,( assuming you can afford it ), I feel for you though, cant be anything worse waiting month after month after month for your hair to kick in and then realise that it just hasnt worked out
-
Any update Cue??
Im gonna wait till the 9 month mark to post some photos ( 2 weeks shy of 8 months now)
I would say the crown growth/maturation is approx 2 months behind what it was compared to growth on the hairline and midscalp from the 1st op
I still cant go anywhere without putting a hat on or sprinkling some nanogen on it although i try to avoid this as much as possible and wash it out as soon as i can
Time will tell i guess but i feel i'll need another couple of thousand grafts into the crown before the density matches up with the rest of my hair. the transplanted hair has definitely sprouted and grown so no complaints there it just seems 2350 grafts wont be enough
At the moment it looks like i'll go from a completely bald crown to a thinning crown
hows yours coming along cant pal?

Cue - Dr. Rahal said that if I want to do anymore surgery, he suggests FUE and that I have about 2000 left. However, I do feel like I have some decent laxity still in my scalp. My scar after round 2 is not aweful but not nearly as good as after round 1. It did stretch in a couple of places. Ideally I would like to do an FUT and FUE combo revising the scar while harvesting some grafts at the same time. Then, harvest the rest via FUE to get a total of 1500. I would like to put all in the crown. This should get me set for life.
You and I it seems opted for different crown strategies. I opted to leave a spot untouched to ensure higher density around it while you opted to cover the whole thing. Neither way is right, just a matter of personal preference.
Good luck my friend.
Thank you mate, now lets kick some crown butt
-
thats some serious growth at 5 months pal, your on the way to a belter, really happy for you, congrats
-
thank you johnboy and cant for commenting
@ cant: yes mate, ive been following your case , you've got over 1000 more grafts than me, epic numbers! are you now stripped out? ive been told i have a conservative 2000 grafts fue left, I like the fact that the doc can pinpoint the multi grafts by fue, i feel i will need some more of those bad boys to put in my crown. I also have a slight dip at the back where no grafts were placed, this is a worry to me because im not on meds due to some terrible sides, just hoping it doesnt drop further!
-
Hi all, attached are my 6 months pics, growth is coming along a lot slower than my first HT as expected with the crown area. Im happy with the progress to date and with a bit of nanogen sprinkled in the crown it looks great!
Im hoping to get to the stage where i can ditch the concealers though, I plan on hitting the area again with Fue at some stage in the future, will give this 18 months though to assess where im at, ive already come a long way since 2012.
On a side note, my scar looks to have come out even thinner this time, I thought it might be wider after a second cut but luckily for me it turned out even better!
-
thanks lads!
Im not applying any regaine , just taking msm and biotin
