all normal mate, fair play for posting your pic, i was the same after my ops, was gone by day 7, hang in there !! warm compresses and massaging the swelling out from the eyes speeds it all up a little
-
we might have to ask the ladies on that one hehe
-
great result, i think he looks cooler with the shaven look though, be interesting to see what it looks like if he shaved it again, post surgeries

I dont think fin will fill in the gaps, hopefully it will preserve what i have left and the crown doesnt expand
I had pretty bad sides back in 2013, i was taking finpecia at that time, 1mg a day
Ive been on the real deal (propecia) for probably 6 months now, started off with tiny doses and in the last few weeks ive upped it to 1mg a day, sides are minor, watery semen mostly, not ideal but i'll see how it goes
p.s. nobody says 'top of the morning to ya' over here
well, only the leprechauns lol

looking good garage, great photo presentation
enjoy your stay in Ireland and have a nice pint of guinness ( or goodness as we call it here )

thanks guys
Yes ontop mate, Im on Fin at the moment

hi guys, coming on to 12 months post op now, took a quick snap to compare
big improvement from pre op but will obviously need more grafts to shrink the crown even more, looking into Fue now at the moment, probably 1500-2000 grafts if its possible
The crown is a tough area to treat, 2352 grafts were put into mine , all spread out over a large balding area, hopefully my journey gives guys out there an idea of what to expect if you wish to get a crown hair transplant in the future
Im happy with the work, looks very natural, ive come a long long way from norwood 5/6 territory and also having very fine straight hair.
Before i started on my journey I felt i'd need 8000/9000 grafts , 2 strips and an fue was the plan, almost there now!

This is gonna be a cracker Jimbo, a perfect example of what a top quality doctor can do, cant wait to see your pics after 12 months, enjoy pal
-
lol this is hilarious, just put the light on and tilt your head down?
-
So Dr Maral didnt do any of the extractions, didnt make any of the slits, didnt plant any of the grafts?
What was he doing? Out playing golf?
You had a HT with the nurses of dr maral
Good luck!
-
I think its his own but if it is a piece it looks unreal
These people just live on a different planet to the rest of us!

I think your crown should have been left alone and the entire 4016 should have been planted in the hairline and mid scalp region, your crown loss is pretty bad , just like mine, 1200-1400 grafts is not going to make any difference to it.
Your hair to graft ratio is also very low at 1.93
Do you have many FUE grafts available for future work?
-
unreal Matt, one of the best transformations I have ever seen
Dr Konior's work is fantastic, the immediate post op pics I have seen from him are simply a work of art, so clean and refined with expert placement , you can tell right off the bat that the result will be brilliant
-
your welcome pal, good luck with it
-
the sides are very mild now on lower doses, watery semen mostly
at the moment im taking 0.25mg a day

eternaldenied: Im very sorry to see you have gone through this nightmare, stay strong my friend! thank you for coming on and posting about your honest experience, hopefully this will be of help to some other guy who finds himself in a similar position as you.
In my opinion, I dont think you were ever a suitable candidate for a HT, I have not been impressed by Dr Bhattis work and I cannot for the life of me see how he was ever recommended by this forum.
It is really alarming to see so many guys rushing off to the likes of Bhatti and Maral in the past year, all seem to be attracted by a cheaper price. I think this is a ticking timebomb and a lot of guys will end up disappointed.

Hey mate,
Hey mate! I am considering taking the plunge; however, I have a large are to cover, unfortunately, being a diffused NW5 going on NM6, according to Dr. Bisanga. I also have medium-fine hair, so any work done would need to be quite conservative. I'm still in the process of consulting with different doctors. I'm 29 now, so I may wait around 5 years before having any work done. Rogaine has also helped quite a lot for me, and it seems as if though my hair loss has slowed down quite a bit. Unfortunately, Propecia just gave me terrible side effects.
Good idea to wait mate, hopefully you wont get to norwood 7 status, if you stay at the 5 or 6 then you should be able to get a nice hairline and decent coverage in the midscalp, the crown is a whole different ballgame though!
Ive gone back on propecia over the past few months, taking small doses, 0.5mg a day and more recently 0.25mg a day, i seem to be able to tolerate it better with these doses

I started reading your story & it was like I couldn't put the book down to go asleep
Man oh man you have come a long long way.
I would say you have cheated nature in a huge way.....I'm over the moon for you.
Your updates are just priceless for us baldies out here.
Here's growning to you.
Ontop, Thank you for the kind words

-
looks great for 3 months Jimbo, you have made it out of the doldrums now and should see steady improvements over the next few months, best of luck

Hi Cueball, thank you for sharing. It definitely means a lot to me, especially considering that we are about the same age with the same type of hair loss. I think that one positive thing that you have going for you is that your crown isn't dipping too much in the back. Is this correct?
Hi Delancey
Your welcome mate
My crown has had that dip in the middle for 10 years now, it seems to be holding up on either side of it but you can never tell with this cursed mpb! I also have a scar from a previous accident which goes right through that dip and the doctor mentioned that this is also contributing to it being thin there.
The crown definitely sucks up a tonne of grafts plus transplanted hair grows very slowly there, I will see where im at at 12 months.
On high norwoods like me, once you get the front sorted your bald crown actually sticks out even more, its a long road mate, are you considering taking the plunge?

Cueball, i see you had strip on both occasions. Did you wear a bandage or anything on the plane to protect the back of your head (donor area) from the seat headrest? How long were your flights?
Hi Glock
The clinic removed the bandages the morning after the op during the cleaning process. They supplied me with a loose fitting bandana for the flight home, just one and half hours flight for me.
For the flights home i booked seats at the back of the plane, beside the window, that way you can slip in and out very quickly and by sitting at the window you dont have to get up to let someone out to the toilets, have another passenger bang against your head with luggage walking down the aisle or have a flight attendant passing food etc over your head during the flight!
I was always worried about the flight home, going through security etc ,funnily enough more worried about that than the procedure itself but once you get it done you feel proud of yourself for doing something about your hair loss, its almost like a badge of honour type feeling!

Cue,
That is awesome. Your transformation has been one of the most impressive I've seen on the site. If I were in your shoes, I might give my crown a few more months to evolve. How much more reserve did Feriduni say you had at this point?
Also, could I ask what made you pick FUT over FUE? The graft count? Did you ever consult with Lorenzo?
Hi Bismarck
Thanks for commenting
Yes I will give the crown more time, I have read it can take up to 18 months for the crown region to fully mature
Doctor Feriduni said i should have an estimated 2000 FUE grafts available, which would give me just shy of 9000 grafts in total. He also advised me to do FUT first for my particular case so as to maximise the grafts available and i agreed with his assessment.
It is only in recent times that I have seen Lorenzos work, It is very impressive especially some mind blowing crown results.

Looks great, but hard to confirm given horrible photos, ask a friend to take some nice shits out in the daylight, sides, top, crown.
Not sure we need to see those pics lol
Lorenzo, Feriduni, or Bisanga for FUE with buzz cut?
