  1. Thanks all, yes it was done with a flash...I'm not sure of the actual breakdown of 1, 2 hair grafts I had but I'm not worried, just get little fits of impatience from time to time..I'm well aware that it most likely wont be as thick as the hair below it but as stated before, I'm barely at halfway and waiting to see what the next few months hold...
  2. I know it's ealry, I'm just impatient! I had 1693 grafts and there are immediate post op photos on my profile page with a great pic of the grafts.
  3. I see little progress from my 5 month photo. Seems half of my crown has grown and the other half has stalled.. Really hoped by now I could comfortably go out in public without a hat but coverage is just as much of a battle and take just as much toppik and hairspray as it did before I even got the transplant. I understand the crown takes longer and all, and maybe I'm just venting here, but when you are supposed to hit these magic mile markers every three months and it seems everything comes to a halt, it's frustrating. Please look through my photos and tell me I'm where I'm supposed to be and it's all in my head (pun intended)..
  4. Thanks for the info and support....Lastcall, sorry to hear about your heartbreak, that must've been very hard, but as I look back at my photos, my month-to-month marks always seem to show noticable improvement, so I'm sure that even if I do still have to put a little concealer in the area, it's still bettter than the big shiny patch I sported before that only a hat or 3 pounds of toppik could hide...but I'm not panicked or worried at this point, just being my impatient self and not paying attention to how blessed I am by having even that much hair where there was NONE before....thanks for the support everyone..
  5. It's not that I was dismissive, but multiple doctors gave me the same ballpark number of grafts when I sent them pictures/measurements, and my doctor was in agreement when we had the in-person consultation, and I don't think any reputable doctor would perform a transplant that "just gives you some hair there" without any kind of coverage. I understand that it may be a little thinner than the rest of your hair, but at this point I still have full faith in my doctor's ability and know/hope that this isn't "as good as it's gonna get"
  6. Well here's 5 months after getting 1693 FUT grafts to my crown..Definitely a lot of noticeable growth, but I guess I woulda have hoped for a bit more coverage by now, instead of still having a defined bald spot with some hair in it. I know I still have a ways to go though...It looks darker and fuller in the pic due to the camera flash, I just now have a "thin spot" rather than a "bald spot", but it's definitnely still a "spot". I still need to use just as much Toppik if I go out without a hat on. I'm sure I'm just being impatient, but I sure hope it starts to thicken up soon. Any input?
  7. Yeah, I took a look at my 3 month pic and compared it....a WORLD of difference...if there is as big of a difference another month from now, I'll be sittin' real pretty...
  8. I wouldn't worry about it, I had mine mid-march and I still get a few hairs, dried skin and little irritations. Don't stress about little things like that, that won't help anything...
  9. Is it normal that it seems like some of the grafts have kicked into overdrive and some have not seemed to even wake up? Nonetheless, feeling positive about the next few months, can't wait for it to thicken up. Got a haircut yesterday, and my stylist even noticed how good its coming in.
  10. Not too concerned with numbers, but from this immediate post-op pic, I'm not incredibly worried about density
  11. Dr. Glenn Charles comes reccomended by the Network..
  12. I trust Dr. Charles and his reccomendation...I guess time will tell...
  13. My post-op instructions said that all normal activity, including weight lifting, could be resumed when the grafts are secure, after 7 days..
  14. That was Dr. Charles's recommendation for the spot. If you look at the pics in my profile, you'll be able to see the post op photos with the transplanted hairs in place. Does that seem low for the area?
  15. Wondering if this would be a temporary option...3 months after a HT, I notice there seem to be small, clear hairs growing among the "real" hairs that are maturing..I'm wondering if dyeing the transplant area would create an effect of more fullness...my concern, obviously, would be if there are any ill effects that might hurt my future growth...
  16. I have one critique on your story....mentioing Victoria Beckham's thong that early on, causes the reader's mind to wander....a lot...and and not put full focus on the rest of the story. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to leave...
  17. Thanks! And thanks big time to this forum to help me make an informed decision....
  18. I keep hearing that but it hasn't proved true so far Tell ya one of the biggest differences is that Toppik works 10x better now and once you get color on that spot, you can really tell how much hair has actually grown..
