Great question, I am sure that there are a lot of people who may have questions pertaining testosterone use and surgery. According to Dr. Arocha, the testosterone should not interfere with the surgery itself. However,using testosterone in someone with pattern hair loss can accelerate the progression of the hair loss. Quite simply, testosterone use increases the DHT which in turn increases the miniaturization of the AGA afflicted.I think the best thing for you to do is to schedule a consultation to determine your options.

This gentleman was very pleased when he saw his results from 1 year post 1910 FUT. He came to Dr. Arocha as a NW 5 and had AGA. He has also been on Propecia for the past year to slow the progression of his hair loss.

Hi HairStudMuffin,

According to Dr. Arocha the FUE method would be better if you do any exercises that cause strain on the neck. You don't want to strain or pull on that area at all after you have had the surgery. You would need to take 6-9 weeks off before you could go back to those types of exercises if you had a FUT surgery. So if you work out that area of the body FUE would be the better choice.
