  1. Hello BUSA, EJ and Scooter,

Thank you for taking the time to comment on our post. We truly enjoy reading the feedback from all three of you gentleman. This patient couldn't have been more thrilled with his results at 8 months. We are looking forward to seeing him soon for his 12 month follow-up.

    Best wishes,

  2. Wwiizzkkiidd24,

I understand your desire to see the wet hair in the after results, but it is difficult to ask a patient who comes into our office for a follow-up visit on his lunch break to return back to his office with wet hair. It is just not feasible. Instead, I have posted some pictures of his dry hair. It is very difficult to see his hair loss in photos with dry hair. Therefore, to correctly convey to you the viewer his concerns and why he came to AHR, I needed to show you pictures of his hair wet. With these photos you can compare dry to dry hair. I hope this clears up your confusion.

    Best wishes,

    -CeCe

  3. When Dr. Arocha is showing that a patient has diffused thinning, it is best to show the hair wet so that you can see the thinning of the hair. This patient said that when he would get out of the shower every morning, he would see that his hair was thin and this was very bothersome. HE FELT that he needed to fix this problem. If I were to post pictures of his hair dry, you would ask me, "Well, where is the hair loss?" because it is very difficult to see his hair loss in photos with dry hair. Therefore, to correctly convey to you the viewer his concerns and why he came to AHR, I needed to show you pictures of his hair wet.

Thank you comments and compliments. We truly appreciate all of your questions.

  4. Hello HairStudmuffin, Srik, Spanker, Garethbale, Wwiizzkkiidd24,

Thank you so much for taking the time to view our video and post your questions and comments. It is great to see your inquisitive minds at work.

    SRIK-

While post surgical shock loss is a risk, Dr. Arocha doesn't see it very often. As you will see from other videos that I have posted, our patients that have come to AHR to address their diffused thinning concerns do not have a problem with shock loss.

If you would like to discuss this matter further, please let me know.

    Best wishes,

    -CeCe

  5. This case of a African- American with a history of 2 prior scalp surgeries which resulted in keloid scars worried Dr. Arocha. Dr. Arocha has performed over 4000 FUT surgeries over the past 13 years and has only seen keloids in 7-8 cases. He recommended that the patient have a FUE procedure, but the patient wanted to have another FUT procedure at AHR.

The FUT scar below is just over 4 months post surgery, and is very hard to find within the patients scalp. We are very pleased to present these results to the hair transplant network community.

  7. Hello Questionmark and Win200,

We truly appreciate the fact that you were very interested in seeing this patient's Before and After photos. Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. In a static photograph, it is very difficult to convey diffused thinning with dry hair. I believed it was best to show the photo with wet hair to give you the best understanding of this patient's hair loss concerns. As you will see in the video that I posted, Dr. Arocha performed a part/width examination to show that true density was achieved after his procedure. I hope this clears up any confusion.

    Best wishes,

    CeCe
