  1. Hi

Im after some advise please regarding my donor area following 2134 grafts from Hakan Doganay.

I am now 17 days post op and my donor area is still very thin and patchy , so much so I am have taken time off work.

I haven been in contact with the clinic and they have advised that I am slow healer. If this is the case then fine.

Generally the usual time frame for recovery is 10 days, so I dont know whats happened here. Is there a possibility of overharvesting..

Im after some reassurance that this will get better. If so what time frame should I expect.

Has here been any cases of permanent shockloss from fue.??

I will try and put on pics asap

Please help as im panicking like mad!!!

  2. HI all

I am due back to work on Monday to an office with 60 people in and to be honest I do not know what to say as I still have obvious signs of a ht ( in my eyes)

I am 14 days post op following 2134 grafts with Hakan Doganay. My donor ares is still very thin with red marks and Im still red in the recipient area. In addition to this I have lost some of the transplanted hair, some of the hair still remains, some are stubble and there are many gaps.

Whilst I appreciate this is a regular occurence with HTs, its not something that has happened to me in my previous 3 hts.

Does anyone have any advice on what to say to work colleagues as to me its obvious ive had a ht. The fact that I have signs at the recipient and donor makes it harder for me to say anything else. If it was just one area, I could maybe think up a story.

    Help!!!!!!!

  3. Hi Arrie

I travelled from the UK, 4 hours on a plane. A lot of people travel a long distance for HTs, so I dont thin it will be a problem. You can stay there for a few days for hair washes, check up etc

I had a sttip procedure before in the uk which left a bad scar. I had this revised by Dr Saifi in Poland a couple of yars ago. He made a very good job of it, but I still wanted some more grafts to try and conceal it fully at a shorter length

    Will post pics asap

  4. Hi all,

I had my hair transplant with Hakan Dogany on the 20th September which was a thoroughly great experience.

I planned to have 1500 grafts in total, 500 from beard hair due to my donor appearing thin in the photos. When starting the procedure they saw that my donor area was better than expected so they managed to extract 2134 grafts. So I still have the beard hair in reserve for later, if needed!

    The graft breakdown was :

    1s* 1199

    2s* 735

    3s* 200

    Position of grafts :

    Hairline / frontal 1400

    Crown 600

    Scar 134

I am really pleased with the work they have done as it looks very clean and refined. All the staff there were really friendly, helpful and professional.

The doctor removed all the wrong angled hairs from my UK surgery 15 years ago and replanted them in the right direction, as well as adding grafts to futher conceal my fut scar.* So hopefully I can forget all about that now!!!

Seeing the techs loading the pen with hairs was like a production line!!!

I must also mention that I was taken out to lunch by the DRs partner before the procecure. After the procedure, which took approximately 6 hours, I was taken out again for an evening meal with a previous and future patient. I can honestly say I was throughly looked after the whole trip.

Included in the price was 2 nights( nearly 3) in a hotel, 1 bottle of Biotin, lotions, shampoo and 4 months worth of propecia and 134 grafts free of charge!!!

I would recommend anyone looking for a HT to consider Hakan Doganay based on the experience I had. I'll await the results before I go over board but Im confident the result will be a good one.

I am waiting for the pictures from the clinic, so will post these when I can.

If I get anywhere near the results they have posted on here, I will be very happy!!

I still have 10 days left before I go back to work, so time is ticking for the hair to shed and redness to fade!

  5. Diaios

Ive seen quite a few results from here. I chose him because of his reputation, results on here and the cost.

I know cost shouldnt be a factor but I couldnt afford the price of the top docs in the US. Some were 4 times more expensive. Also Dr Hakan Doganay has many years experience in Fue and In my opinion Turkey appears to be the world leaders in FUE.

Also, the customer service at the clinic is excellent, far better than an5one other clinic I have been in contact with.

  6. Hi Ranonym

I have had surgery twice with Marwan Saifi. You will be In good hands and I'm sure you will have great results.

You should expect things to start around month 4, but everyone is different. Personally I didnt notice any real change until about month 7.

Dr Saifi will give instructions on how to remove the stitches, but I woul recommend you contact the local doctors surgery and make an appointment with the nurses.

Im not sure I understand your last question, can you clarify please.

If you need any other info on Dr Saifi then let me know.

    All the best

  7. Hi Magnum

This is based on my experience on this site. More so with repair cases and people how have had previous surgeries. I had a revison myself on a poor scar from surgery in the uk. Whilst it has made a huge difference, it was nowhere near the pencil thin line I had just after surgery.

I have since had fue to it and will hopefully add to it in my next fue session with Hakan Dogonay in 3 weeks time.

In my case I dont know as I certainly didnt do any heavy lifting, I was very careful when bending. I suppose its all down to patients healing capabilities

  8. Madaboutyou - Im glad your experience was a good one with Dr Saifi. Im sure your results will be great.

Bunnyman - I am a regular on this sight and I have had 2 procedures with Dr Saifi, 1xfut 1680 & 1x Fue 1250. I am very happy with the results of both procedures.

To be honest I havent really posted much in the way of results on the 2nd Op, but I will try and do shortly. There should be results on my profile from the 1st Op

I would recommed Dr Saifi without question, as he is a very good surgeon at an affordable price. If price is an issue then you should also consider some of the Turkish Docs.

Anything else you need to know about Dr Saifi then please let me know.

  9. Hi all

This may sound a stupid question but are you able to extract the hairs via fue that cover the donor scar.

The reason I ask is when I have my hair at a short grade you can clearly see the dark hairs over the scar which are at a different angle to the rest of the hair.

I thought by removing them via fue and replacing at the correct angle may be a good idea?

    Any advice would be appreciated

    Cheers

  10. After 2 surgeries with Dr Saifi (which I must add were a success) I have decided to try Hakan Doganay due to his excellent results.

I am currently booked to have 1000 via fue and 600 via bht (beard) Im a little scared about the bht to be honest due to potential scarring, but going by my pics the docs says my donor is thin, so thi is the only option.I Hopefully this will change when he sees me in person.

If anyone has some recent work by the doc via bht, I would love to see.

Anyway, I will post all pics for all to see, should anyone be thinking of using Hakan Doganay.

    Cheers

  11. Hi

Im going back to Dr Saifi again In September for my third procedure with him. Ive been really pleased with the results, but still want more. Cant recommend him highly enough. You have nothing to worry about.

As far as im aware he only accepts cash, which is a bit of a pain when travelling abroad.

If you need any further info give me a shout.
