  1. hey Buzz, great result so early mate, and its only gonna get better
  2. thats an amazing result for 4 months, hope it gets even better mate!!
  3. great result, looks very good, and you are still at 9 month mark, i saw a considerable change from 8 month to 12 month mark in terms of quality of the hair and overall density..
  4. fantastic resuts mate congrats, i had been following your journey for sometime and i am happy to see these results.
  5. if people do their research properly there is not a snowball fights in hell chance anyone having an HT in australia. you are still avoiding the posting of your pics which is very strange given you are so passionate about pushing people to your doctor.
  6. muzman, i urge you to forget about a HT in aus but look overseas, you will spend huge dollars here to get very poor results instead of going to US, Canada, Thailand for cheaper $$$ yet a far superior HT with the world leading surgeons. Just have a look at this site and see how many us aussies have travelled outside aus including me.
  7. Tom is there any chance you will post your before and afters here for everyone to see as has been requested of you previously to show off your results or will you come on here and try to steer every aussie to the doctor you seem to be working for.
  8. thanks mate, its almost like it has not sunk in yet, every morning i am amazed at how easy it is to style and how good it looks. In terms of money i was quoted for 3500 grafts here in australia for double the price i paid at DHT with Dr Path for 4000, so i saved not only a bucket load of money but also got what i expected in results. I was literally 1 week away from getting a sub par HT here when i discovered this forum and Dr Path, such a close shave i tell you (excuse the pun )
  9. thanks Hariri, i am over the moon with the results, and i am happy to see your results too, our HTs were 4 days apart so i had been keeping an eye on your progress.
  10. cheers mate, it has changed my life dramatically. I wish you all the best and success and will be awaiting your results buddy, keep positive!!!
  11. colin89, you have not only done the right thing and looked outside australia for HT you have also chosen a top notch doc mate, check out my thread for the pics i am 13 months post op Dr Path.
  12. cheers buddy, not a fan of toppik or other concealers, i did play around with toppik around the early stages but didnt like it for various reasons and right now i am happy with the density
  13. MoeyK; thanks mate, it feels great having hair again and i sincerely hope you have just as good a result if not even better, i really do. Cheers JF
  14. thanks for the kind words mate, i hope your results are just as good if not better. i have been playing around with different styles but finally found the look i was after, cant be any happier. I added some new pics just before if you want to have a look in my thread, the link is below in my signature. the result has exceeded my expectations to be honest, i was preparing myself for a lesser result but i am over the moon. I wish you all the best in growing.
  15. you can add jollyfolly to thath list as well, see my sig for some pics if you are interested in Dr Path's work.
  16. As you can see from the progression of photos i was experimenting with different lenghts and styles. To be honest after years of the same style (read combover) i really did not know what to do with so much hair. I always loved the messy spiked mohawk kinda style so last two haircuts i went back to the young hairdresser (who is so easy on the eye) that i used to go to few years ago. I had been going to an old barber but his cuts started to feel old fashioned and I needed someone young working my newly found fur. She has done a great job last two haircuts. She is also amazed how the HT turned out. We ended up with 3 guard at the back and sides and the scar is totally invisible. I did try to take a pic but couldnt manage, apologies. You will just have to trust me. Here are some pics i just took, this style literally takes 1 minute to do, after towel drying i apply rogain, shape it sometimes with a little wax or sometimes without and a little hair spray to keep it together all day long. i think i found my style.
  17. Dr Path is highly skilled mate dont stress, enjoy the ride
  18. very impressive indeed.. i had to laugh when i read that you said evryone thinks you have dyed your hair as i get that all the time as well given the transplanted hairs are darker than some the native hairs
  19. Hi jonnny; I had HT with him 13 months ago, check out my thread for the story and pics.. Dr Path emailed me at the time some hotels near by and i ended up staying at accor all seasons at the victory monument. I recommend the hotel as it was good price nice rooms and killer buffet breakfast in the mornings.. i ended up staying 9 days there. The clinic is about 2 or 3 sky train stops away and the train stop is practically out the front of the hotel with a couple minute walk but i caught taxi there and back. The ride only took a few minutes. If you need more info let me know. The clinic is on one of the top floors of a building with a bank on the first floor. I ended up converting at the bank the day before the op and payed the clinic. The clinic sent one of the managers with me to bank and as i needed to get a couple of grand from the atm out the front they assigned a security guard to watch over me which was very comforting. I must say watch out for fees though if you are using the atms, i did a lot of shopping and took a lot cash from atms and got smashed with fees!! I can understand exactly your fears as i went thru them a year ago. I trusted the view of this forum and took the punt and it worked out great for me. All i can say to comfort you is Dr Path and his staff are top notch in regards to your care. Dr Path is a very gentle guy who comes across very intelligent and confident. Once you meet him you will see. His work reflects his experience. His staff from the girl at the reception to the nurses and technicians are all very caring. I felt 100% at ease from the moment i was called in to the waiting room. You will be fine mate dont stress. Post op Dr Path suggested i catch the sky train to the shopping centres to get my mind off the op. Initially i was very cautious of catching public transport and asked my hotel staff for a cab but they all advised a cab ride would be 40 minutes to the shopping centres and only a few minutes with train. Dr Path told me the trains were air conditioned and i was very suprised at how clean and cool they were when it was stinking hot outside. Shits on the melbourne trains i can tell you that. So i ended up catching the train all the time to get around. I found it very easy to use the system and felt secure as all the people on the trains were courteous and civil. And at each station there were police on guard and i felt very safe. I totally recommend. I am not in Sydney but if you look at my pics you might get an idea of the success i had. Yesterday i had a haircut with 3 guard at the back and sides and cannot see the scar at all which is fantastic. My only concers are now density which can be a bit better but until hair greed kicks in i am very content with the results. I can always have another op to improve density but then again i may not as i am very happy with the results overall. I can honestly say this HT changed my life. I did not know the extent at the effect of losing hair had on me mentally. It was so draining. I was very easy to get grumpy and was grumpy. I had terrible sleeps last 10 years and didnt know why but since the HT i am having the best sleeps waking up so fresh in the mornings. This has been a fantastic yet unexpected side effect and has improved my life dramatically. So i say go for it mate and as i said dont stress too much enjoy every minute of it. The hardest part of the whole HT thing is the waiting for growth and the infamous ugly duckling stage. Best of luck and if you need further info let me know. BTW When is your procedure? Cheers JF
  20. sunhead, congrats on the op.. thanks for sharing i enjoyed the read, i had HT with Dr Path 13 months ago and reading your words took me right back to those days and to that clinic i spent so much time, especially in that room with the view. in regards to bumping heads Dr Path told me to be careful as i was leaving post op and what do i do getting into the cab?? Luckily it was the part of my head that didnt get any work done near the crown but it was sore for a few while.. Best of luck with growing mate!!
  21. Tom139; I am happy to hear of your successful HT with Dr Martinick. I would love to see some befores and afters as i am very keen to see her work as i have never seen any, if you can post it would be great. Cheers JF
  22. hi jonnny1976, you will find that all the aussies here including me will tell you dont even waste time in australia.. H&W and Rahal are very good you cant go wrong there, i chose a little closer home Dr. Path of Thailand (4000 grafts 12 months ago) although i seriously considered the Canadians.. Unfortunately aussie clinics cant handle small sessions let alone a relatively larger session you are after. Any questions let me know and best of luck mate!!
