  1. I'm adding a couple of photos. The first one is day of and the second one is today. I'll try to post some more pictures in better light. Dr. Nadimi and I decided to take a very conservative approach on the hairline so that I had grafts remaining to address the other parts of my scalp. I'm not necessarily trying to look 23 :). I haven't gotten exact graft/hairs per graft count, but Dr. Nadimi sounded very happy with the quality of the grafts and the availability of grafts for a later procedure, particularly considering we went pretty conservative for the hairline. She estimated 1590, so a little more than our initial goal. Let me know if you have any questions, I'm happy to act as a resource for anyone thinking about going through the process. Thanks! Evening of procedure Day after procedure:
  2. Well, I had my FUE procedure with Dr. Nadimi today. It couldn't have gone better. I was out sleeping for probably 90 of the procedure due to the ambien and slept through the entire graft placement procedure. Dr. Nadimi unquestionably knows what she's doing, she provided a lot of guidance but was ultra willing to consider my preferences. At the end of the day, I deferred entirely to her judgement based on others' experience with her and her obviously astute professional judgment. When all was said and done, I got in the office at about 6:30 and was out at about 5:00. We were scheduled for 1500, but the number ended up being about 1590. I was told a large number of my grafts were 3 and 4 hairs, but I'll follow up with more details after I reach out to the good doctor for specifics. I'll also upload some pictures when I get a minute. Beyond that, I can't say enough about the quality of Nadimi's and Konior's staff. Super nice, super competent, and they've obviously been doing this for a long, long time. I'll have to have another procedure given my Norwood scale, but when I do, I'm going back to Dr. Nadimi. While I don't have anyone to compare her to, I can't imagine having a better experience elsewhere.
  3. I don't disagree. I don't think my donor area is half bad - and I'm hoping the fin prevents further loss. Of course, I'm not the expert. Ideally, Dr. Nadimi will be able to provide some guidance on moving forward. She's certainly been helpful up to this point.
  4. Markee - I've met with Dr. Nadimi - I got the impression that they book 1500, but will do more if its an option. I assume it's based on time, availability, etc. I exchanged some e-mails with the original poster (he hasn't been on here in a while), and I believe he was booked for 1500, and they ended up transplanting an additional 200 - there's obviously a cost associated with the additional grafts.
  5. Hi everyone, I have a procedure scheduled with Dr. Nadimi out of Dr. Konior's office on 7-20-18, so I'm about 60 days out from surgery. I intend on documenting it as well as I can. This forum has been a great source of information for me and I want to pass along the help by trying to document whatever I can about the experience, my progress and results. That being said, I'm going to try to post pictures at the major milestones, i.e., before, after, 2 weeks, 1 months, and then monthly beyond that. I'll start by providing my backgrounds, I'm a 37-year-old white male and I've been losing my hair for about 17 years. I'd put myself currently at a IV or V. I've been on minoxidil for about 10 years, maybe a little more and it's done a pretty good job I'd say. At Dr. Nadimi's urging, I began taking generic fin about 20 days ago. So far I don't believe I've experienced any sides and I haven't missed a day of taking it. I intend on taking it for about a year to see if or to what degree it helps. I've read quite a bit of information concerning the sides, but you typically only find posts blasting it, although I understand the sides only occur in a small number of individuals. Regardless, I try to put that out of my mind, and to focus on taking affirmative steps to combat my hair loss. My dad is probably about a NW VII, and my brothers were both headed in that direction, but they've both chosen to shave their heads. My dad's father had a pretty good head of hair into his 90's. I believe my mom's father was about a NW VII, but he passed away in his sixties. Regardless, I've decided that since I have the option to try to take action and improve my follicular situation, I've decided to do it. I met with Dr. Nadimi on March 5th, 2018 and I really enjoyed meeting with her. She was pretty blunt with her advice and recommended a 1500 graft FUE procedure. I believe Konior's office tries to limit their FUE procedures to 1500 grafts, but I've noticed they've harvested between 100 and 200 additional grafts if its available and time permits. If it's an option, I'll certainly encourage it because I definitely have some space to cover. I've taken about 15 days off of work, so between those days and the weekends, I'll have about 17 days (including the date of the procedure) to recover. I'll be working from home to the best of my ability, so my apartment will basically be my office. I believe I'll need at least one additional procedure, but my hope is that I respond well to the fin and it stabilizes the loss and - with any luck - thickens some of my miniaturized hair requiring fewer grafts down the line. Ultimately, I'll see the full results from the HT at a point when I'll have been on fin for about 18 months, so it'll give me a better sense of the next step. Regardless, I just wanted to put my procedure on interested parties' radar in case they're interested in following along as a source of info for anyone considering booking a procedure with Dr. Nadimi. Thanks.
  6. Thanks Teemo. I'd love to see monthly update photos if you have them. Thanks again for taking the time to put this together.
  7. Teemo - thanks for the thoughtful post. I'm booked with Dr. Nadimi in July and I agree with your comments on meeting with her. She was very knowledgeable. I've reached out to her by e-mail a few times since the consult and she's great about responding to my e-mails. I've exchanged messages with some other Nadimi patients (who have posted on the forum) and they've all had great things to say about her and the procedure. I've seen some great results thus far on realself and she certainly appears to do great work. Glad you had a great experience and best of luck.
  8. Thanks for the info, Teemo! Glad to hear it's going well. It seems like individuals get results at different rate, I'm sure the results will be great. I just exchanged e-mails with someone else who used Dr. Nadimi about a year ago, and it sounds like he's thrilled with the results.
  9. Hi everyone, I just set a consult with Dr. Nadimi. I understand she works with Konior, but more affordable and wider availability. Interested in knowing if anyone has had experience with her or feedback. The line I keep reading is that if she works with Konior, that's kind of a stamp of approval, but I'm interested in doctor specific feedback. Please let me know! Thanks!
