  2. Hey guys, What does it mean when your thin and not completly bald? For example I am thin at the crown and before I got really thin at the top, I was able to pull my dark thick hair out with my fingers. Now thin with fine hair and I tried pulling it out, but its held strong, so I don't get it. I have asian hair I look at where it is thin and I see thick and fine hair growing together. If Fine hair would just grow fast as the thick hair would be good. I also see black dots (like pores), so I am thinking that some day the hair will grow there. I am 28, and no hair is falling no more just where its fine hair won't get thinker and fuller. It gets me thinking cause why I am not completly bald or clearly see skalp. So its giving me this hope that it will come back cause hair stop shedding and been like this for 3 years now. What gets me is that no one is bald im family cause I asked. I am youngest of 17 kids, brother is 37-54 still hair and father at 80. My nephew older and my age still have full hair and I hate to get picked on about this.I think what happen is that I was not dieting properly, I was taking hydroxycut and it doesn't make me hungry or crave for food, so I would go to the gym without eating sometimes.I took it 3 years til I relized this happening.
  3. mp96, Thanks I was told by so many older people.

  7. its great hear that since he is around the corner from me. cant wait for pic
  8. I understand any hair is better then no hair. keep us posted and we all suffer hair loss, some in 4 and some 12 years. I wish you the best!
  9. Hey Bill, Thanks for the answer. Grafts is like money, should never be thrown away. I love this forum,
  10. Not an expert, but I think you just need to train it and it will get use to the direction you want it to go. When I had alot of hair and when I have baby or new hair growing wild, I would just come it the way you want it after a shower and soon it should move on it's own. For stubborn hair, gel it. See it this way at least you hair a full head of hair.
  11. hello, The more I read the more I get all this. People are choosing strip cause its close to acurate for hair restoration. I always thought that all your donated hair grows once place. My question is, Do doctors use all your grafts or trash whats not need??? Thanks vinnythekid: Based on numerous pictures of patients, strip HT is better than FUE, mainly because the survival rate is MUCH higher than FUE. It may be advisable to have FUE for a small session of 500 grafts, even though there is a much lower rate of grafts survival. However, HT is not exactly a walk in the park. I would prefer to add density with a strip of 1000 grafts, which will look like 950 grafts survived rather than a FUE of 500 grafts which will look like 250 survived. 250 grafts will not likely have any cosmetic difference for you. Size of incision is the same for FUE and strip.
  12. Dr.Lindsey, Your office is actually around the corner from me. I wanted to get connected with you, but still doing alot of reading and of course money issue always a biggy. I am just trying to learn from everyone on this network and spent alot of money on "No Improvements". I am also patience do to not being that I'm not that bad compared to most people here. Plus summers around the corner. I would love to send you my pictures and please,if you can give me your best estimate and information on this type of work. I am slowly trying to adapt to this crazy economy. Thanks Doc!!
  13. Thanks maxxy and what procedure did you go with? Do you have a pictures of a good strip and FUE? Thanks
  14. Hey maxxy, I been knowing about FUE for about a little over a month now and I really thought I was gonna go with this percedure cause of less scarring. I see alot of people are doing strips on the forum and I am thinking and seeing some after pictures of the donar areas of some people are healed up pretty good. I heal up pretty good, but I like hair cuts that are like #2 clip on the sides. I also came across something I read that, you will see faster results with strip then FUE. True? Anyone, if you have answers also. Thanks
  15. Hello, Just out of curiousity, How much for 2000 grafts will cost in Thailand?
  16. Hello everyone, This an intresting forum to read and I know I'm a little late. I really fully understand alot from this and charlieb, I do wish you the best of luck. I know its hard when it comes to money and being thin on top sucks, but I also understand alot of people's concerns and I am glad to have them on the same boat with me. I know it's hard to pass up on free grafts. I just thought that after seeing "hairthere" sent you his link to his pictures to his amazing status would change your mind. My crown looks like yours and I would have just shaved it to #3 clip. I have it shaved now and it still looks fine, but of course I want hair just to say "I have hair". What I am trying to say is be patient and use this forum cause its here to help us. We are all on the same boat trying to reach our destiny. GOOD LUCK
  17. hello, I found a doctor by the name Robert Jones, he does his work in Canada. I found him on Youtube with trying to find more about FUE. He seem like a good doctor and well known. I went to his website and I was impress. He said his price unblieveable cause of no overhead, brochure and advertising. I just wonder why no one talks about him on this forum. http://www.hairtransplantmagaz...ofiles/robert_jones/
  18. Glad everyting is normal kim. Dr. Carman I am wondering can this be perminat hair loss and thinning around the crown area , due to not dieting correctly. I used hydroxycut everyday, 2 in the moring and 2 before gym. Sometime I would not eat anything before the gym. I took this dietry supplement for 3 years and while I was taking it, I notice hair loss. I didn't think much of it cause I always had thick hair and that its normal to loose some hairs. Sometimes running my fingers through my hair and I would catch about 10-15 hair a day. Then it got worse as time goes by and til this day I am wondering, Can it be a permenant hairloss cause I was told I don't have no hairloss in the family. I am number 17 in the family and have 5 nephew thats older then me have thick hair. My brothers are 37-55, thick hair and my father is 80, thick hair. So I am left here scratching my head. PK
