  1. I had 3,000 FUE with Bisanga on 18 Dec. I'm now 7 months post op. I was happy at 4 months but I've seen continued improvement since then. I now have a 'hairstyle' and I'm combing my hair for the first time in 20 years.
  2. Thank you stinger99 Yes - I'm starting to grow my hair longer. Weird as my hair hasn't been longer than 6mm for the past 10 years. Some of the comments I've received that Sl makes reference to on this thread are "your hair is getting longer", "I like your hair cut", "why don't you let your hair grow - side parting", "you look slimmer". Unbelievable really.
  3. Would be a pleasure Sl. Photo taken this evening. Slowly developing into a hair style which I never imagined possible.
  4. 28 weeks (6.5 months) Thank you all for the kind comments
  5. 24 weeks - clipped at 2.5mm for post op consultation
  6. I thought I should document my post op consultation with Dr Bisanga and UK representative Sl. Both were very happy with my progress. I asked the Dr to assess my donor and I’m averaging 70 follicular units per cm2 on the sides and 80-90 at the back. I therefore have the opportunity for a 2nd op which I will consider with the Dr and Sl next summer. It’s very difficult to articulate how happy I am with the results but this has been one of the best decisions I have made and I’m 99.9% sure I will have a 2nd op as the results to date have been excellent IMO. I would like to thank Dr Bisanga, all of the technicians and Sl for everything. I feel privileged to have met such a good team. I will provide an update of my progress with photos this week.
  7. Just clipped it. This was taken last week, a little longer.
  8. Photos were taken outdoors. Maybe some redness but I'm personally not aware of it.
  9. 3 month update. Experienced signs of new growth after 8.5 weeks. Very happy with the results so far.
  10. My friend, I had the same experience. I was told by my patient adviser that it would disappear by about day 10/ 14 and it did.
  11. I met with Bisanga, Feriduni and Mwamba along with many others. I actually chose Bisanga as a result of this self-assurance in what he believes to be best for the patient. This ethic is also reflected by his UK patient advisor, SL. In my consultation, Bisanga immediately knew what was best for me based on my age and hair characteristics coupled with his experience and I was pleased his recommendation was in line with my aspirations. I'm approaching three months and whilst I shall continue to reserve judgement, I can say that at this stage, the result including the aesthetics of the hairline is nothing short of exceptional.
  12. About 90-95% has shed. Some of the newly transplanted hair has continued to grow but some just seem stuck. Most shedding took place between week 3-6.
  13. Stinger99 A very good experience at the clinic and the procedure was the same as every other Bisanga patient that has posted on here. I have healed well and there have been no complications - one of my main concerns. As JohnnyDrama testifies, the first two months is a real emotional roller coaster (i.e. did I blow my nose too hard ?) but I'll be very happy if I achieve a good result. Day 30 update

  16. I'm also considerig Bisanga. I had a consulation with Bisanga and his representative Stephen. I've also met the representative from HDC, Dr Rogers and the representative from London Harley Clinic and out of all of them, I instinctively felt more comfortable with Bisange. I just started a course of propecia and minoxidil so will see how that goes before HT.
  17. I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 37 this year, same norwood scale I think and I don't take meds. I'm thinking about taking them and thinking about surgery with Dr Bisanga. I'm been researching the topic for the last three months and learing all the time.
