Strip is certainly the best option for most but the guys with no significant loss in their family history, or the ones that have exceptional donor density or even the ones who are not as concerned about the crown may be best served by FUE.
I know much has been said about the numbers available by FUE but I know for a fact there's two doctors out there who have done 10,000+ FUE over multiple procedures for many patients (one is IAHRS approved, the other guy is on some the ISHRS and the ESHRS(? think that's the European one)). Both docs are in Europe where everyone wants FUE. I've seen a video of one guy with 10,700 FUE with his hair buzzed to a 1 and it is immaculate but then again he clearly had exemplary physiology to heal that well. He was a norwood 6 too and had very dense donor.
Strip probably still shades it for most patients but I think Acell is helping to close the gap. It certainly appears SMG is getting really robust growth with it.

I had the same problem after a week or so and decided to ditch it. It was a concern for me because when I was 13 or 14 I had spike of testosterone and a growth spurt but as I hadn't had such high T levels before there was not a lot of DHT in place to antagonise some of the T from converting to oestrogen/estrogen and I got a small amount of breast tissue. It wasn't visible with a t-shirt on but it annoyed the hell out of me. Thankfully DHT levels rose and the small nodule of tissue disappeared after a couple of months.
Didn't want to be permanently in for that so I got off it. I guess for some people it definitely does weird things. I know some people advice taking 1mg M-W-F and that may help but it would probably be even better in terms of side effects to take 0.5mg every day to maintain more constant target levels rather than yo-yo-ing. All the best with whatever you decide.

No not minoxidil. Yes VEGF is involved in tumour growth. The malignant growth tricks the body to produce VEGF in and around the tumour so that it can develop blood vessels and grow. VEGF isn't actually bad. It's a growth factor that simply acts to help grow new blood vessels. It can be isolated, like PRP, and used in scar tissue to help revascularise it to an extent. Though it's probably not widely used yet it may have some very useful implications for trying to restore some blood flow to a strip scar when implanting FUE grafts thereby increasing the yield of the transplanted grafts in the scar. I believe Dr. Greco has been investigating VEGF along with other growth factors, PRP, Acell, etc.
Sorry for the confusion. I meant to google Dr. Feriduni FUE into scar repair. I've seen one fantastic case where it looks like the hair in the donor has been clipped down to a 1 or maybe a 2 and the scar is pretty much gone. Hope that helps.

This is exceptional work. Immaculate. Can't wait to see this one grown out.

Incredible. So natural. I guess having hair on the fine side is actually an advantage for the feather zone right at the leading edge of the hairline. 2500 grafts used at 53.6FU/cm2 and plenty in the bank for the future. This is how it's done. Congrats to the patient.

The use of vascular endothelial growth factor could help with grafting scalp hairs into a strip scar by FUE. There's some examples out there of FUE into strip scars. A recent Dr. Feriduni scar repair comes to mind. Google it.

Looks like an exceptional FUE yield. Fantastic result. Great to see Acell being used in conjugation with FUE.

You know Joe was talking on the podcast the other day that he wasn't happy seeing his hair on the new Fear Factor and said he's going to have to do something about it. Now that he's already cut he may be considering going again for another FUT. It would probably be a good idea at this stage. Even 3000 from Dr. Rahal or H&W would make a big difference since he already has some hair up there that isn't going anywhere.

Looking good dude. Keep us updated.

5000 more by FUE seems like quite a big number. You must have really great donor characteristics. Lucky you.

Hi Sean. Work looks great. You mentioned that Dr. Rahal feels that you have another 5000ish available by FUE. May I ask if you know what your donor density is and the area in cm2 of your donor area is?
Thanks for your time and happy growing. It's going to look great.

Matt this looks insanely dense. That's an extremely tight cut and it's hard to see any difference with the sides. Is this down to the hair shaft diameter?
