  1. irishsaylor, You're coming to the stan? Shoot, we can take each other's progress pictures, and ensure the lighting is correct lol! Safe trip! Dome
  2. thoughtsbecomethings, Your results were one of the many reasons why I decided to go with Dr. Feller. All the best! I will most likely be in NY in March, and will stop by his office for a scar and progress check. D.
  3. Dr. Lindsey, great strategy. I consistently keep seeing excellent results from your clinic. Curious, are there any laws out there that protect patients from the "inhumane" treatment by certain "surgeons"? These procedures literally leave their patients scarred for life (or at least until they get another procedure to fix the previous mess). Although I have been browsing this site for over a year, I never focused on the legal aspect of bad procedures. D.
  4. joshelstad, Grow well. T&D clinic was on my final list, and I have seen some excellent results from them. I'm in there with the rest of the group - hoping that by summer will buy styling products! D.
  5. Djjr, What number was your hair buzzed down to in the pictures above? It looks like it is 3 or even below? Sorry for bumping the thread. SD
  6. keithh, How was your scalp laxity? (Sorry, not familiar with your case) It appears that those with tighter scalp take a little longer to go back to normal. In my case, My head started to feel normal after about a month.
  7. I've been here for over a year and still can't PM... not sure who to contact (or how to contact them since PM's don't work).
  8. Brad/Chris, Thank you for the remarks! I am about where I was expecting to be at 3 months - not a whole lot going on. However, in the last week or so I noticed more newly sprouting hair. I have been following both of you for a while as well - Chris, since you are a Feller patient and Brad, since our patterns are somewhat similar. All the best to both of you!
  9. Greetings! I just uploaded my pictures taken 3 months post HT. Comments are welcome. D.
  10. Nik, The quoted price in US Dollars is about 22,000. That's a chunk of change. Although most of the surgeons do not list their prices, they will do so if you request an online consult. That is how I started my "journey". Use this site's Online Consult form to send pictures, along with your desired result, and desired procedure to multiple clinics in the preferred geographic area. Also, there are many clinic reps here (Spex, Jotronic, and others) who will give you unbiased help!
  11. NHP, Wish you a speedy recovery, and good growth! Looking forward to pictures. D.
  12. NHP, Keep us posted and all the best during and post surgery. D.
  13. Looking good Chris! You've passed the doldrums and from this point on, it should only get better and better!
  14. Keithh, I just did. 2 days shy of two months
  15. keithh, I had the HT two days before you. The recipient area progress looks very similar to mine. The scar may appear redder due to the hair length (or lack thereof). Grow well!
  16. Research indicates that long-term use of Nizoral Shampoo (Ketoconazole) may have some benefit in the treatment of androgenetic alopecia. I don't think there was a clinical study that concluded this. On the other hand, similar research shows that Pyrithione Zinc (Head and Shoulders) has the same DHT inhibitor effect! Other research shows that people that used Pyrithione Zinc shampoos lost more hair that people with placebo shampoos. So, I don't know. The trick is not to fall for the marketing strategies of these billion dollar companies and try to get results from independent research.
  17. irishsailor, I concur with Newhairplease! Looks like progress. I noticed the redness and itching has intensified in the last few days for me as well (I am two days shy of 6 weeks past HT). I get at least one or two new spots/pimples per day as well. I attribute the redness/itchiness to my current living environment (very dry climate - Afghanistan), but I am secretly optimistic that it's the new hair sprouting as well. Taking MSM, Biotin, and Omega 3 in addition to my daily multivitamin! Newhairplease - best of luck next month!
  18. Albion, I have been following your progress with Transmed closely, as I was considering them for my surgery as well. While I cannot say anything about them since I did not use them, it was your growth (or lack thereof) and concerns from other forum members that prevented me from rushing in with them. As far as Dr. Lindsey, I have heard nothing but great things about him. Again, best of luck to you, grow well, and keep us posted about the progress.
  19. While I agree with everyone's recommendations/opinions, I personally believe that the level of post surgery pain depends dependent on the scalp laxity as well. If the donor area has to be pulled harder to be closed, the tension will cause pain, and possibly cause stretching later on. I didn't experience any post-surgery pain per se in the donor area, but had minor discomfort until the staples were removed. Acetaminophen helped. Dr. Feller will inform you accordingly during your in-person consultation.
  20. Orl, Forgot to ask you on my previous post! I noticed that you are on generic finasteride. Any side effects? How long have you been using it? Thanks, D.
  21. Wow, what a hairline! Looks excellent, and this is only 6 months!
