Hi, im wondering if after graft hairs have fallen out can you apply fake tan to the hairline where you had the grafts(with a lower hairline) OR could it suffocate or not make the hairs grafted grow? Not sure if anyone has used or mentioned this before be good to know Also can you put makup on the hairline to disguise the redness as will have to go back to work and wouldnt want redness showing, once again will makeup hinder final result in anyway? Any feedback would be helpfull thanks guys

Hi im considering fue now what punch size would allow me to shave my head to a guard/grade 1 or even 0.5? The ht surgeon im thinkin of uses a 0.8 manual punch size and 0.9 machine punch In ht surgerys are the extractions done more with a machine or manually? Also if i have pretty see thru fine hair in my donor (my natural hair chareteristics) would white dot scarring be more noticable? Thanks any responses would be great Ocean

Sorry i wrote it too fast (good response to what you thought the question was though:)) I meant there should be NO or minimal miniturised hair ( i heard 10% is just about ok though not sure can you help me on this one)

Thanks bonkerstonker though does anyone know percentage wise whay is not a candidate for ht i heard alot of ppeps say there shoul;d be none if not minimal amount about 10%. Maybe a ht doc or a rep for one or someone who really knows and gas been turned away may be able to answer this question...

Hi janna thanks for the response just mine seems to grow in literally straight up at the front and behind the hair so guess i'll see what a ht doc says with my case but know or heard from forums that it can be a challenge foe ht docs?

Hi i havent had a HT but am looking to at some point in the near future, now i have a kind of unusual hair as the front of my hair grows straight up and vertical and even if i gel it to go down it wont(its a cows lick i think its called) Now it grows this way on the whole frontal hairline and an inch or so behind it, if i have a HT into my thinning frontal third will the surgeon have to angle the hairs the same way they grow? And would it look odd? Does anyone have this kind of hair growth at the front like me or can relate? Thanks

Hi im wondering as pictures i see of FUE is taken from the sides and back of head. Now i see fue being taken from the back of head above the safe doner area and just below the vertex, now is this ok?? Because if its out of the safe zone(doner ares) it may thin out OR maybe thinning and miniturising a little already. So my question is why do ht docs take/harvest from above the doner area? Are they not putting potentially going to die hair on another part of your head? Hi guys im new though not new to hairloss kinda been out there trying everything, ive been on propecia for 8-9 years and though it worked well for all them years seems its lost its strengh and now in the last 7-8 months my hair has thinned out alot in the first 3rd of my head. Now i want to go with DUT but im scared of shedding stories and hairline loss etc(as my hairline has thinned out enough and receded too lately) I was thinking of taking DUT 3 times a week and propecia the other days so basically alternating between the two. As dont want to switch over to dut 0.5mg completely just in case it gives sides or massive shedding which doesnt stop:eek: So maybe doing it this way gives me a chance to jump back on propecia again and stabalise(even though still losing hair) but may not be as bad as with the dut. Do others here use both orr maybe made the move completeley and hapily to DUT and if so what were your experiences?? Can anyone help me out on this one, all comments would be sooo appreciate!.

Thanks for the reply, is there a time limit to switch to a new drug before a ht in your or anyones oppinion, is 2 or 3 months enough time? I understand that people who start a new drug either propecia or dut experience some shedding, though does the shed hair grow back and if so how long would it take? If anyone can contribute it would be valued as want to switch but want to make sure i do it correctly.

Hi everyone, well as the title says im new and this is my first post, ive been a lurker for a while now but as im looking to get a HT i wanted to get more involved as well as ask some questions here and there and possibly answer some. Im using propecia and was thinking to change to dut as the propecia isnt working to well as my hair has thinned out at the front and midsections, ive been taking propecia for a long time now and feel its run its course.(it worked for a long time but not anymore) Now if i was to go for a ht would it be a bad idea to change to dut a few months before? as would like to possibly stabalize the loss ive been experiencing. Thanks
