  1. Hello MusoInOz, Thank you very much for your reply. There are not many decision in life that actually effect one there whole life so I am doing everything I can to educate myself and make sure I am getting good info. I just thought I would throw out the question and I definitley feel comfortable with the opinions of this forum. I see you take finasteride as well. Have you ever thougght of adding or switching to Duasteride? I heard that Fin sometimes loses its pototency after 10 years. What herbal's do you take. _________________________________________ Hi hairthere, You also make a good point that the monitors this website have HT as well so no matter what they have good intentions because they definitely understand.
  2. I am not sure why they gave her the ULTRA Quality omega but I just read it helps the response to cancer treatment but I thought it helped in the recovery process. I am 31 and very healthy. Can you confirm this is your recommended HT regiment. Pre-Op -No Omega 3 -No Vitamin E -No blood thinner -(non-synthetic) multiple-vitamin and MINERAL supplement -Vitamin C - ARNICA MONTANA 3 days prior Post-0p -Vitamin C -Vitamin E -Omega 3 -Multi Vitamin -Protein -Curcumin -Resveratrol -CARNOSINE -CO q-10 Is there any other pills you think I could add to my preventative hair loss? Besides these –MSM -Biotin-Nettle-Pygeum Aficanum-Horsetail Grass-Saw Palmetto. Should I add HGH?
  3. [/url]GotHairInFront, Thank you for such detailed information! My mother actually just finished Chemo and is doing great so she gave me her extra bottles of the best quality Omega 3 that cost about $600 a bottle so they should help I just added all of those to my shopping list It seams like you know much about various supplements and herbals. After this surgery I REALLY want to set myself up with the best chances of keeping my existing hair. What are your thoughts on my following hair loss regiment considering price is not an issue and I know that some are not proven. As long as it won’t do harm or is not redundant, I do not mind taking them. Is there anything I am missing that I can add? Is it true that after 12 years Propecia can loss its efficacy? Should add Duasteride as well? -Finasteride -Rogaine Foam -Nizoral -MSM -Biotin -Nettle -Pygeum Aficanum -Horsetail Grass -Saw Palmetto When you think about it all of these are not expensive and could preserve my crown whihc would save me thousands.
  4. My regime that many people follow is Propecia, Rogaine Foam and Nizoral. I also take almost every supplement, vitamin and herb that is supposed to promote healthy hair. I do not mind taking them because they are cheap, pills and good for other parts of the body. What are your thoughts on me taking the following pills and is there any overlap or possible bad interactions. -Nettle -Biotin -Pygeum Aficanum -B Complex -Multi Vitamin -Omega 3 -MSM -Horsetail Grass -Saw Palmetto I know it seam like overkill but I do workout often, am a large man and as far as I see it should not do any bad and maybe some good. And yes my friends do call me Monk because I am very obsessive compulsive, which is not good for someone losing their hair. Also, am I missing any
  5. You like you are at a crossroads and you can either shave or get a HT. I WISH I could shave my head but bad work and a horrible scar will never allow me to do that. This is actually one of those choices that will effect the rest of your life so there is no hurry. I would 100% recommend shaving your head for at least a year and at that time if you are not happy then go for the HT and try propecia, rogaine and Nizoral. Who knows maybe some hair will come back. There are definitely no rules for hair loss and everyone if different. I do not know if you are married or not but once you are married your wife could careless if you have a shaved head so if you do a HT do it for yourself.
  6. Hello Take The Plunge, Your responce does put my mind at ease. I like many people in this forum are just searching for legitimate help and advice and everyone at first should not at first trust a website but I can now say it this is legitimate. I even slipped a not so good reply about a coalition member and it was not deleted and to the contrary was debated so I see this is an open discussion of ideas. I just need to be extra careful because I had a terrible experience 12 years ago that pretty much has added alot of stress to my life ever since. I am going with Alexander and will document it all. Hopefully my story can give hope to someone feels like they have no options because you can't shave your head because of the scar and are very weary of procedure that is the cause of all the problems.
  7. Yeah, the packers are going to be good for a long time. May be a dynasty in the making. A few docs have told me about scalp exercises but were not specific at all. Does anyone have detailed instructions to loosen the donor optimally. I will do it an hour a day if I think it will help. Thanks for the email Lorenzo!
  8. I am about to schedule a HT procedure in about 3 weeks and I want the best possible result. I do not care what I have to do. I do not care if it is an old wife's tale let me know anything such as: massaging, pills, herbs or standing on my head I am willing to do anything I can to optimize my result. I have heard of scalp massaging does anyone have a link or explain the best way to do it?
  9. I actually think they will have a cure for hairloss in 10 to 15 years and the ACEll or cloneing can be the answer. Also, even if hair is pouring off your head you will not see it happening or notice it until one day you notice something has changed. I have been on Propecia and Rogaine for 11 years with no site effects at all. The other weapen is shampoos and I can't imagine they could have side effects besides maybe itchiness. Your hair is fine by the way and are in a perfect position to stop or greatly slow anymore loss. Just buy: Proscar: 2$/month Generic Rogaine: $10/month Nizoral: 5$/month I think you could sqeeze that out
  10. Oh and Alexander did say he uses the assistants in what I assume the same way but to me when talking to Matt to me I heard to much about how good the assistants are. I see now it was a mute point but it was my initial impression.
  11. I agree with everything you guys are saying. Matt, I even gave you props, "Shapiro has been around longer, has many accolades and seams to do the top work. Also, his rep was great and seamed the most confident in his Dr." Also, everything Matt said he in fact told me. I was just stating my very arm-chair opinion in few sentences. I had my doubts about this forum but I definitely talked to Matt. After talking to all three it was so hard to choose between Alexander and Shapiro. I have read in here that it is a personal choice for many reasons. I really liked that Alexander only does one patient a day and in my opinion at worst his HT look natural and at best look like my little piece of heaven. Man I just want to be the guy with the horrible before and beautiful after picture!
  12. How do we really know that these two groups actually recommend quality doctors and not just the highest bidder? I have a company that provides a service and I just made up a "society" and ranked myself number 1 and listed others below me to make it look legitimate. I also made 15 other websites just for the use of recommending my company. I know how easy it is to fake recommendations and coalitions/societies over the internet so how do I know they are real especially since members have to pay? I want these recommendations to be real so I get valid information and can get my hairline fixed. I just can't go through another nightmare and want to fix my poor decision I made when I was basically a child at just 19!
  13. Chemo is a terrible thing and it messes up everything in your body. Maybe it is just taking longer for your hair to grow back. I would NOT get a HT for many years until you see it as the only resort. If you shave your head you will have a good frontal hairline and that's what girls notice. I would not use propecia or minoxidil or anything like that because you do not have male pattern baldness hence you do not have DHT issues. My friend I swear not me paid 3K to learn how to pick up girls and professional pickup artist was completely bald with a shaved head. Also, shaving your head is nice when you have a full head of hair. You do not notice how often yo check your hair for alfalfas and such and when there is not hair why even look. Hang in there bud!
  14. That is true about woman haha... From seeing the finger grow back the ACell does seam like it has great potential. When looking at all the doctors I think Cooleys may be thinking more about scientific break throughs. After talking to Shapiros Rep I in a round about way got the feeling he would be in and out and the assistants would be doing alot of work. I decided to go with Alexander next month. He had way more ideas including prior laser hair removal of bad work. He seams like a perfectionist and thats what I want! I will take average or passable too...
  15. You also had a question about Regenix. It is VERY expensive and a waste of money.
  16. From what I recall she made the ACell seam like a scientific breakthrough. I am pretty sure she said that post recovery where the scar would will be skin and maybe hair. You are right though when they take out a big slice like that there has to be some scar. It is not like skin is a whiteboard that can be erased
  17. I have taken Propecia 11 years including college and believe me I was not lacking at all in the libido. One thing I am wondering does Propecia start losing its effect after 10 years? This year is the first time my hair has moved a little in years. Also, does it work as well taken every other day?
  18. I have almost the exact hairline as you but mine is a little more progressed and I have a not so good 11 yr old HT which basically does not even help. Propecia pretty much stopped my hairloss and if I did the big three it would have been a little better. If I was you I would keep up your regimen for a long time until you know for sure you are not going to regrow hair because once you get a HT you are in for LIFE. If you get a good one that's great but if you get a bad it could be one of the worst decisions you have ever made. I noticed that around 30 girls do not even care AT ALL about guys with shaved heads. I WISH I could shave my head.
  19. I have talked to many doctors and they are telling me that I only need to take propecia every other day. I am sure it still helps but is it completely effective? I would rather take it every other day but if it is a little less effective it is not worth it. My crown needs all the help it can get. I was alos told Rogaine 5% is fine to appy only once a day. Is this true?
  20. From my research these guys are the way to go Dr. Shapiro, Dr. Cooley or Dr. Alexander.
  21. Thank everyone for your advice! I see that you agree Dr. Shapiro, Dr. Cooley or Dr. Alexander are good Doctors to talk to. Have you heard any negative things about any of these doctors? The only negative I have read was that Shapiro is that he was not in the room very long After talking with each office these are my thoughts: -I liked Dr. Coolsy especially because of his use of ACell. Is this product as amazing as it seams? The rep said that a the donor with not even have a scar at all. I am a little hesitant because I wonder if he takes too much time in his research and not perfecting his art. -Alexander talked to me himself and sounds very good. -Shapiro has been around longer, has many accolades and seams to do the top work. Also, his rep was great and seamed the most confident in his Dr.
  22. The only thing good about Regenix is that they have girls give you a massage on your shoulders for 10 minutes to "increase blood flow" to the scalp when you go to the office.
  23. Hairloss is obviously a negative human condition but it is looked upon as something that is "funny." For example, if someone had a skin disease no one would point it out and feel like they should get a cookie because they noticed it first. I really do understand why it is so acceptable to ridicule bald guys. Whenever I hear someone mock a bald guy I want to put a voodoo curse on them so that they start going bald.
