  1. Cardel,

The combination of finasteride, minoxidil, and ketoconazole shampoos (like Nizoral) is usually referred to as the "big three," and is probably the most effective non-surgical hair loss solution you can utilize at the moment. I highly recommend sticking with these three. Good luck!

Thank you for your reply. I will definately stick with those.

  2. Of the treatments you're using, the Revita shampoo is almost certainly the least beneficial and the one to ditch if you have to cut down. Is it the cost that's an issue?

If you feel that the Revita shampoo has a unique and worthwhile effect, and you can afford to continue using it, then there's no reason why it would be too much.

You should look around at some of the long lists of treatments some other guys use.

What i am concerned about is sf combining Revita Shampoo and Nizoral 2 % can cause shedding. I know that extencive use of one of them can cause shedding.

Thank you for your reply. I think that it makes my hair look nicer but i cant measure if it helps preventing hair loss. I can definately pay for it so if it doenst harm i might as well keep using it.

  4. Hi.

As you can see from my signature i use both propecia, minoxidil, nizoral and Revita shampoo.

Im wondering if using the revita shampoo is doing me any good when i already use all those other products ? Ive just seen it beeing proposed on hairlosstalk. I want to add a conditioner when i grow my hair longer after HT. I have thought about using Revitas conditioner as i am really satisfied with the way Revita shampoo makes my hair look like. But is it too much ?

  5. Ive read that Dr. James DeYarman developed a minoxidil applicator but where can i buy it and is it any good ? i can only see a copy available on ebay but its not available for people outside us. Is there any copy?s outside us ? i think that its wery difficult to apply and want to receive all the help i can get.

  6. What product is best and why ? I cant see the big difference. Revivogen is much cheaper so unless Revita is much better thats what i will buy.

I have another question. I use Nizoral and i can read that it can supply these products. I just want to be 100 % that i still can use Revita/Revivogen shampoo the 2 days i use Nizoral and not only the other 5 days of the week.

  7. cardel25,

Propecia (finasteride), Rogaine (minoxidil) and Nizoral used together are known as the "Big Three". Minoxidil can be purchased very cheaply in generic liquid form but there is no generic foam at this time. In order to stretch my dollar I use Rogaine Foam in the mornings as it is non-greasy and fast drying and I use the cheaper liquid in the evening before bed.

I shampoo with Nizoral every three days.

Thank you for your advice its very helpfull. Applying the generic liquid in the night couldnt it give some problems with smothering it in the pillow face etc. ? If i dont care if it dryes fast because i dont need to style my hair until after HT. Then it would be smartest to apply in the morning then.

Ive read that if you use the foam there is not so many sideeffects is that true ?

Also i read that Nizoral actually can cause hair loss. A seller of the product from ebay claimes this.

  8. Hey. Ive been on propecia for a few months and it seems to work. So ive decided to supply it with something ive read that you couls take minoxidil or nirozal (not sure ive spelled it right). I dont know which has the best results. Or perphaps there is a product i am not aware of that works ? The cost of the product also matters. If anybody have a reference to where you can get these products cheap it would be great.

  9. i just did a little research and read something dr cooley stated...i guess finasteride has a half life of 7-8 hours but the drug remains in the body for 5-7 days...he actually recommends taking the drug everyother day for older men and everyday for younger men...interesting...

    i have read varying reports...

Thank you for your post. Thats very interesting.

  10. from what i have read about daily dosages...your body rids itself of the finasteride after about 24 hours so as long as you are taking them 24 hours apart there shouldnt be a problem. I have also read that anything above 1 mg is a waste as the body only accepts so much finasteride...

thinnk of it as protein...people think eating the most protein they can is best for building muscles...the fact is, the body only accepts a certain amount of protein at which point the body disposes of it via stool. the same holds true for finasteride...or so i have read.

Thank you for your post. Well patient with to big prostata and prostata cancer get 5 mg finasterid daily so im having a hard time believing that the body only accepts 1 mg.

  11. Ive choosen pills that remind of proscar its the same active ingedient finasterid. They are called Sanchoz and they are in 5 mg pills. So i have to cut them into quaters like proscar. But im having problems cutting them so that all get the same size. Do you know if it has any affect that the pills vary from 1-1,4 mg each ? I am buying a weight that can show mg with almost exact figures so that i can try to get them more even.

I guess that there are people that cut proscar into quarters that are experiencing the same problems.

  12. IMO you have a good head for the razored down bald look.

Your donor is way to thin to have much hope of decent coverage at the top.

Thanks for your comments on my bald look.

I can see that my donor region is thin. Right now im getting some surgeons to tell me how many grafts that they can harvest from my donor region. Ive read on this website a statement drom Dr. Mohmand saying that normally you can harvest 7000 graft with FUT method. And then there was room to get 2000 graft by FUE method. Please correct me if im wrong it could be that i misunderstood something.

    ?

I know that the total grafts in my donor region is below normal but still i will wait to hear the experts judgement.
