  1. I used Garnier Fructis hair shine spray when I was using Toppik to try and make my hair look less dull. It definitely will help and is inexpensive at the local drug store. I switched from Toppik to a brand of fibers called 20 Second Hair and it is a massive improvement on how "shiny" my hair looks and it stays in alot better as well. I cant remember why off the top of my head but their website goes into why it's more shiny. They custom mix 2 shades of brown for me and are quite a bit less expensive compared to Toppik so you might check them out. .
  2. I agree..fiber concealer is the way to go for you. I exercise a lot as well and have never had any real issues with a fibers concealer. I have light brown hair similar to yours and getting a color match was always the toughest thing. I now use 20 Second Hair and they will custom mix colors for free. I use half light brown and half med brown and it matches perfectly. Seems like light brown hair is the hardest color to match so you may have to experiment a bit but from your pictures it looks like you would be very pleased with a good concealer.
  3. On the sprays I have tried several. One of the cheaper ones was the best..called Top Coverage at about $15. I had tried Fullmore, Jerome Russell, Millefolium, Hair Cubed and others. They all do the same thing but some formulas are better than others and I thought Top Coverage was best. I used to spray this on and then sprinkle the fibers on top of that and it looked fairly good but I thinkk I was overdoing it. My hair is now thick enough to where i just use an off brand of fibers product and it looks the best it has ever looked.
  4. Your pics look really great! These fibers are really a godsend for those who have had surgery but dont yet have good density.
  5. I think the answer might depend on your individual situation and also how dark your hair is. Dermatch basically colors your scalp so if you have darker thicker hair at the hairline it will likely look pretty good. If you hair is lighter or thinner up front my personal experience is the fibers look much better as they add a more dense look. I have used both and currently use a fibers product. My hair transplants are finally pretty thick up front but with the fibers my hair line looks flawlessly natural. I had to experiment with so many things to find what works for me and can tell you it's well worth the extra $20-30 to test both alternatives and find out what looks best.
  6. This is so funny..I guess we all have the same issues. I have been fighting this mental anxiety battle for many years. When I go anywhere I take my orthopedic pillow in a black pillow case so that I dont have to worry about the concealer rubbing off on the pillow. If I sleep over with a new girl I never used her pillow and would try and sleep with my hands under my head worried all night about something rubbing off on the sheets. It's a massive pain. I guess these concealers have advanced however as I use one called 20 Second Hair now that is not rubbing off on the pillow (at least in my testing it at home). I still am too paranoid to sleep over and use a white pillow. This new stuff also doesnt seem to come off on my hands but I still wont allow my hair to be touched. I guess it's just tough to overcome the paranoia built up over the years. I'm just glad progress is finally being made in these concealers. I feel a lot more at ease using them than I used to.
  7. These fiber concealers make a huge difference if you are looking for density. You will be shocked at what you have been missing. I've been using them for many years. I've tried just about all of them but the one I use currently is 20 Second Hair that is giving me the most looking natural result I have ever had and price is good. You really owe it to yourself to try a concealer. Just make sure you stick with it to find one that is a very good color match as they all look a little different when applied.
  8. The first surgery 4 months. Subsequent surgeries have taken a year. I just had what I hope to be my last surgery 3 days ago..man it sucks to have to wait a year for this.
  9. They did jack me once when I mistakenly paid late. I called and got a supervisor to reverse the charges. Like I said, I used them twice. Other than that no issues but I made damn well sure I paid on time.
  10. Lets not mention staining her pillows when you sleep over. I've yet to find a concealer that doesnt rub off. I've tried about everything.
  11. I've tried it. It's garbage. The gel stuff is useless as a concealer. The hair fibers are not charged so they do not hold in your hair. The holding spray was the only decent part of it. I sent it back for a refund. No refund ever came and the product bounced back to me several weeks later as undeliverable.
  12. Drives me crazy..I absolutely cannot handle people sitting behind me where they can up close. It's a matter of how well your color matches up.
  13. Yes, something like Toppik really will give you good density. The key is getting a perfect match on the color.
  14. I use Aromatase 7 and think it works. I've also tried Spectral DNC and it didnt seem to work.
