  1. Thanks Future_HT_Doc. I intend to contact surgeon at about 6 months to assess the progress of the HT. I am currently only 4months post op and I am seeing some results on the transplant area but this new balding area is bothering me. I really hope its the rogaine working
  2. Hello all. So i had a HT in January around the hairline and into the temples. A month after the HT I started using rogaine. I am today exactly 3 months into using rogaine and about 10 days ago i noticed a new balding area deeper into my left temple which is moving into the middle of the head. I always thought shedding from rogaine will happen within a month or two of using. Is this a late shedding phase for me or the signs of further hairloss??? This also coincided with the use of nizoral shampoo which i started using about a month before the horror shedding. All comments appreciated. Thanks Guys
  3. Wow...I am exactly the same. I have been using rogaine for about 2 months and I have this group of light hairs growing below my hairline (left side only) which i notice when my head/face is wet. The funny thing is I don't remember ever having hair in that area EVER! I assumed like you that minoxidil is somehow finding its way below my application line. The bad news is I am not noticing any growth or change where I want. Actually I think I have thinned more over the last 2 months but I am hoping it is just the shedding/reaction phase of the treatment.
  4. Sorry about your situation bro. Stick around..... Maybe someone on this wonderfull forum maybe able to help you eventually. TAKECARE
  5. Thanks HARIRI. In 3 days I will be 6 months post op. I still cant tell if the hairs are new hairs or thinning hairs. I really hope it works but I will give it 8 months at least before I complain. In the mean time I'll probably send the doc my pictures to get his opinion.
  6. 500 was all i needed to repair the fontal loss although it would not be to its original thickness so I guess my HT was for the visual effect as I keep my hair low. I also have an average donor density therefore I am being conservative. I am still not sure if my hair is growing but a friend seem to think so.. I hope is right( or maybe he is just being +ve for me). However I think I might have started thining on the vertex area... possibly related to the fact that I started working out a month ago.Next stop Rogaine
  7. Hi everyone... I am planning to start working out soon. This is because if my 5 months old hair transplant which by the way has no visible result so far does'nt work out in the end I can still have a fit body. While conducitng my "fitness research" I came across an article on the menshealth website which mentioned oats as a natural source for increasing the muscle building hormone testosterone which we all know to be the source of MPB. link below. What do you guys think. MAN I HATE HAIRLOSS. Oats Vs muesli :: Men's Health
  8. I have this "cobblestoning" on my right temple but not on my left temple. I had different nurses placing the grafts on both sides... does it matter?
  9. Thanks mattj I would'nt say its concentrated in one area . Actually the 500 was on my two temples with a little in the middle. I feel the temples have receeded a little bit more especially after strating propecia hence my question whether it'll grow back. I will wait a few more weeks before contacting my doctor. However I really appreciate your comments and honesty on shedding. I will continue the drug for now.
  10. Easier said than done but will do.
  11. Thanks all for your msgs. Its always comforting. @ future_HT/ I tried taking some (phone) pictures but its just not clear enough. I should buy myself a new camera for christmas I think! @ sparky/ You mentioned i should see even little hair. The thing is I cannot tell if its new hair or the thining hair that was there b4 the transplant. I just assumed its the thinning hair to avoid disappointment! @Spex your link is excellent. Spanker and YouOnlyLiveOnce thanks for your messages. Could anyone tell me about shedding with propecia. because I think am losing more hair with propecia. is it gonna come back or should I stop???
  12. Well most of what i read tells me that @ 3 months it starts to grow under the skin and by month 4 it starts coming out. My 500 is a moderate frontal hairline repair. How common is shedding after starting propecia?
  13. I will wait and hope but is my assumption correct that the early bloomers will have and better final result?
  14. Hi... well like the title says after 4.5 months I dont see any improvment on my hairline. I had a small session of about 500 grafts (by a recommended and reputable doc). I am trying to stay positive but its getting more difficult. I am begining to think my HT was a failure. What do you guys think? I started propecia about a month and half ago (after alot of research) to speed up growth but I think I have lost some more hair. I cant help but think the longer it takes transplanted hair to grow the higher the final yield(if it grows at all), WHat do you guys think?
