Thank FHT Doc. I will be contacting a few to ask. I am really liking the work done by Dr true and Dr Dorin in NY. There restoration of temples and frontal hairlines have shown incredible results. Also Dr Ron Shapiro, & Dr Hasson. There are a lot of incredible surgeons on this forum and I'm so happy that it's here so I can view them all and make an educated decision.

I'm leaning towards FUE rather then strip as it will give me more diversity, shorter hair etc with no strip scar showing. But I also uinderstand that it's pretty much twice as expensive.

Hey Mattj- That's a photo from about 2 years ago. I will be updating with a current photo tonight. When my hair was like that it would still take me 20 minutes to style it that way, but when ever there was wind it would just blow over and reveal my temples

I know there are people out there with worst problems in the world but hair loss can really be depressing at times. I'm trying to keep my optomism high

So it's been a very long time since I've blogged. I'm not sure why I haven't done a post sooner. I've been looking up results everyday and I'm so excited to see so many good results you all! Perhaps that's why. I'm basking in the glory of your transplants they truly are fantastic.

I've had some bad temple recession since I was 18, I'm now 24 and aspiring to be an actor...sadly during castings I've heard alot of comments regarding my hair line. I know it's tough to make it in the acting world but it's even tougher when your hair isn't picture perfect! I've been following my regime of minoxidil on my temples and saw palmento every day. I've had some significant regrwoth and stabalization but now it's come to a dead end after 1 and 1/2 years I think my regime is just rentention now rather then any new growth.

That's the problem! With the income I do have from my current job (which involves leasing apartments face to face with customers...who also have a pasing glance at my hairline) I am just getting by. I'm wantin to know what I can do about a financial plan? My credit is awful (I moved from the UK to the USA, so I don't have enough established credit). I'm trying to save up for a transplant but times are tough. Has anyone with bad credit had any luck with a decent payment plan?

Does anyone have any recommendations? Any ideas are greatly appreciated as I've kind of hit a rut of depression, which certainly isn't helping my hair loss! I'm just frustrated with the hair loss and not being able to do anything about it, and I know it's noones fault.

I'm sorry if this post seems very negative, I'm just at my wits ends. But I am thankful this forum is here! Everyone's success stories really do put a light at the end of the tunnell for me (when i eventually get there) it's just getting over that mentality.

I believe it's other ingredients that are in Propecia that effect testosterone levels directly. I'm sure there is probably a study on it somewhere. Could be that provillus uses a lot of natural ingredients compared to propecia and the body accepts it more as it's not too synthetic...not too sure just taking a stab in the dark.

1- I did for the first 2 weeks notice my stomach was upset more then usual, I was taking 2 pills in the morning with breakfast so I decided to take 1 in the morning with breakfast then 1 in the evening with dinner and my stomach leveled out and now is absolutely fine I find that Provillus does work (if you look at my blogs you will see my regime and I believe everything I am taking compliments each other to encourage hair growth and maintain existing hair) how are you taking yours?

2- Didn't notice any change in my libido or anything sexual at all. You shouldn't either as it's only a DHT blocker which is created by testosterone and doesn't effect the actual testosterone production at all. Are you experiencing any sexual side effects? If so I would recommend speaking to your GP

Yeah I apply it twice a day as soon as I get out of a shower (towel dry hair) and then before I got to bed. I find that if I massage it in for a few minutes then the greasy look goes away and is just applied directly to the scalp (this might help for morning) Ohhh yeah I went through some shedding....it kind of turned me off using it but I am so happy i stuck with it! You might not be going through the shedding phase just yet as you are only applying once a day. I would highly recommend (based on my personal experience) doing it twice a day.,,,even though it can be tricky in the mornings.

Cutting your hair short too is a brilliant way to maximize the amount that gets onto your scalp rather then hair. Well I look forward to the pictures (they are a huge encouragement for my progress as I can see how far I have come along) good luck with it and keep us updated on your progress You have any questions just ask away, always more then happy to help.

Yes I experienced the same with a generic minxodil and after 3 months the hairs have gotten thicker and darker, and even more white hairs are growing! Normally you won't see results till around 6 months for this to happen but I think from products I've been taken, it has sped everything up. Have you got pictures to show? Check out my blog and you'll see my progress. Congrats on the mini hairs!!

Looks good. How much of the growth do can you attribute to ARG Matrix and how much to Minox? Did you notice any difference when you went off ARG?

I have noticed a significant difference when I'm taking the ARG Matrix. Although I think the Minoxidil is what's causing the hair to grow the ARG Matrix definitely is making the hair grow faster and making it stronger quicker. I came off it for a little bit as I ran out of ARG and had to wait for my pay check lol and I seemed to stay pretty much the same, but hten a couple of days into taking the ARG again new white hair sprouted up and the exisiting ones got darker and thicker. I can't explain why it works so well the results just seem to keep coming stronger and quicker when I'm taking the ARG. I know it's an adaptogen and is designed to help your body heal so I figure my body realizes there are new hairs on myu head growing and uses the ARG to fix them. Plus my spots and everything have cleared up!

OK So I have been following my regime for almost 3 months now and I must say I am super excited!! My hair line has never looked better (well not within the last 5 years) and it feels so thick too!!! Unfortunately I ran out of ARG Matrix for a 2 weeks and only got back on it a couple of days ago....I can already see increase in thickness and growth of even more white hairs!!! The Temples have really thickened out compared to what they were and now even more white hairs are appearing even lower then before!! Hopefully next month you will see an almost Straight hairline!! Personally I do recommend it yes. I feel it has certainly thickened my exisiting hairs and my new ones. I have been on it for about 3 months.

Hmm it's a tough call.... I actually take Provillus tablets and have defiantly noticed my hair getting thicker all over my head. Even on my temples where there is regrowth...but I do also use Kirkland's Minoxdil 5%, GNC Mega Men sport, and ARG Matrix. I honestly think it has helped....but that's just my opinion.

I was considering a HT from Ron Shapiro but when I had the phone consultation he told me that I should just use a minoxidil topical solution and propecia for now as I will get the results I am looking for, for a fraction of the price. At first I was skeptical as I head/researched that Rogaine/Minoxidil was only good for the crown of the head, but I decided to follow his instruction. I am using Kirklands Generic Minoxidil 5% along with Provillus tablets (decided against Propecia for now due to potential side effects), GNC Mega Men Sport and ARG Matrix. And I have had significant regrowth in the temples, even within the first week tiny white hairs came up to say hi and now they are getting a lot darker and thicker and longer! I will upload more pic on my blog this weekend. The reason that Rogaine isn't stated for temple regrowth is they have only done clinical trials for the crown of the head... I am guessing that not everyone has luck with regrowth on the temples so they market it as hair regrowth for the crown as they probably got much high results and more profit!

From my personal experience I did experience quite a bit of shedding, but now I have begun to regrow hairs that weren't there for several years!!!! (My temples haha!) But yes the hair I shed has begun to grow back (only been on Minoxidil for 2 months) The best advice I can give you is stick with it no matter how bad a shed you get...mine was reasonably bad, so I cut my hair shorter so people wouldn't notice it as much. But it's defiantly worth it!! Good luck and keep us posted with updates!

the reason i ask is that i have been on propecia since it came out and started using rogaine foam roughly one time per day (at night). i'm just looking for another avenue to try without causing a break in my current protocol

At the moment with the results I am seeing I don't plan on taking propecia anytime soon...kinda scared about the side effects lol. Have you experienced any? But I will keep my options open for the near future.

I use a generic 5% Minoxidil topical solution (Kirkland- bought 6 month supply from Amazon for $20) 2 times a day. It was kinda messy to begin with but now I have quite a bit of "peach fuzz" it stays on my scalp easier. I use it every single day! I would recommend if you are using it only once a day bump it up to twice a day...once when you wake up after a shower and then 2 hours before you go to bed.

what does ARG Matrix do? i've never heard of it and can't find too much info on it relating to hair growth.

Well it's an adaptogen, which basically means it will adapt to help your body with what it needs, in my case help promote faster hair growth and strengthen new and existing hair follicles. Other people it may help with Irreitable Bowel Syndrome, or will help people get into a deeper sleep. Especially as it defiantly has improved my temple hair regrowth, as from not taking it, it seems to have slowed down. Also minoxidil isn't really meant for temple regrowth but it sure is happening for me

The ARG Matrix is the highest and safest dose of L-Arganine that can be taken, the scientist behind it has done 25 years of research on it and tested it on over 250,000 people and the results were that they all had 0 negative side effects. Ok I am just shy of posting this at the 2 month mark, I still have till the 25th June....and I realise now that I posted the 1 1/2 months early...but hey I had results!! Haha!

These last weeks have slowed in progression and the only reason I can think of is I stopped taking the ARG Matrix because I ran out of supply and don't get paid till the end of the month...but managed to get some ordered by borrowing some cash and will hopefully see more results! So the hairline is defiently filling in the temple more! It's amazing! I know they are still fine little hairs but I am sooo excited...especially as no more hair is falling out at the moment...I don't have any excess hairs coming off in the shower...I think I am going to give this credit to Provillus and it's key ingredient Saw Palmetto! The temples are certainly filling out more and creating less of a drastic recession...they are currently forming a straighter hairline simmilar to what I had at 17/18! So here are the pictures at the moment, I am getting my haircut on tomorrow and will see whether they notice the change! The hair that wasn't receding has been getting thicker and healthier looking! I'm actually excited to get my haircut now and even more excited to get more of the ARG Matrix!!

So I have now been using my regime for 1 1/2 months....and it has been tough! The shedding made my hair loss look worse then it had...but it has been the greatest decision to combat my hair loss as now I have significant regrowth of white hairs(and some are growing darker) The pictures I have added you can just about see where the regrowth is recurring! Hopefully in a month of so they will be darker and you will be able to see! The quality of the rest of my hair is fantastic it feels so thick! I think this is mainly because of the ARG Matrix. It's the safest does of l-arginine you can buy and has 25 years of testing with 0 side effects! I know it's not meant mainly for hair loss but it is supposed to help maintain current hair and make it healthier, So I figured what I am regrowing back will make it stronger then just peach fuzz! It really seems to be working! I never though that minoxidil, provillus, GNC mega men sport and ARG Matrix would take effect so soon! I am sooo over the moon, every morning instead of waking up down and not wanting to look in the mirror because my hair is falling out I am waking up excited to see how it has changed over night...haha I know you can't really notice but it's SUPER exciting to see progress!!

Thanks for the comment Yeah I;ve heard mixed reviews about Provillus but thought I would try it for 6 months...if it doesn't work for me then I guess Proscar it is! Did you have any side effects from it at all? Haha well who knows maybe you can urinate a little longer and the direction might change down the road

This month I decided, after 4 years of my hair line receding, to actually do something about it and stop praying for some form of miracle overnight regrowth! So I went out and bought Generic Minoxild from Kirkland, some GNC Mega Men Sport tablets (for general vitamin dosages), Provillus tablets and ARG Matrix (a new L-Arginine formula that is meant to help with keeping the hair healthy as well as many other benefits)

I started using the Minoxidil and Mega Men Sport tablets on the 22nd April and the next week ordered the provillus and began taking that as well. I just started taking the ARG Matrix a couple of days ago so I will have to keep everyone informed on that at a later stage when I can start noticing effects. I've been reading all sorts of stories from all different websites but my favorite is Hair Restoration Network, so much info and research and so in depth!

This first month has been hard, I like my hair long but I began to notice that keeping it long was making it hard to put the Minoxidil treatment on my scalp and also I began thinning in the middle of the crown I thought I originally was just receding and that I was a lucky one and was going to miss the whole crown balding... apparently not! So I cut my hair short so it was easier to apply the solution,but it has been tough to watch as there is ALOT of shedding! But I can only view this as a positive! I have started to notice some very fine white hairs coming through at the temples where there hasn't been anything for a few years, and today was the first day I have noticed that some are getting a little darker! Which has me overly excited!
