You can use general anti-inflammatory medications for the swelling. But it will dissipate on its own in a few days. Did you have an FUT or FUE procedure? My pst-op instructions for donor scar prevention is a little different for FUE vs FUT.

I agree that you are probably the same now as in before photo but it looks thinner because of hair length and different photo setting. If you take either Finasteride or Minoxidil or both for a while and your hair looks the same that means it is working. Hair growth or hair looking fuller is only a bonus that a small percentage of patients get.

It is good thing that you are now doing you due diligence. The more understanding the patients had of the potential outcomes the more realistic the expectations will be. Also never hurts to get more than one opinion. If your first procedure was an FUT and you are now considering FUE it would make sense to do consultations with clinics that offer both procedures.

Sublingual is definitely a more effective route of medication delivery. I have never seen any studies showing efficacy comparisons of sublingual versus other forms of delivery with either Finasteride or Minoxidil.

I agree Melvin I have been seeing more and more patients in their early 20's and even late teens coming in . Obviously these patients have a very strong genetic predisposition for male pattern baldness. These younger patients must be treated conservatively as they will almost certainly continue to lose more hair.

I agree the answer id probably both. It really depends on the patient hair loss, donor supply along with the many other factors that go along with deciding on which type of procedure to have. Some patients are clearly a better candidate43 for one or the other based on their situation and some patients are lucky and are good candidates for either and it is just a personal preference. Unfortunately there are still clinics out there that only offer either FUT or FUE and they try to push every patients into that procedure even knowing they might be suited for the other procedure. 

My Mistake I was thinking he was taking Finasteride and Minoxidil. I agree with comments about the Eucapil. Sounds like a scam.

I have seen this type of reaction to stopping and restarting before. In some cases when the shedding stopped the hair regrew and in a few cases it did not.  I generally only have patients stop Minoxidil 3-4 days before the procedure and restart one week after. I do not tell patients to stop taking Finasteride.

I think that it hard to say without seeing photos of him when he was younger. I have friends who have similar hairlines but always had it like that.

It is really used to prevent hair loss not necessarily grow more hair. However there are a few things it may do in some patients to give the appearance of more hair. Wake up hair follicles that are in the sleep cycle or improve the health of weak thinning hairs that are on the way to falling out.

I tell my patients that most patients that 90-95% of the4 transplanted hairs will shed in the first month. On rare occasion I have a patients who experiences very little shock fall out of the transplanted hairs and they just start rowing from the day of the4 hair transplant. Remember this is different than shock loss of existing hairs.

It appears that you still have a pretty nice head of hair. Hopefully the Finasteride will slow down the hair loss and maybe keep you prostate gland small at the same time. Lol. 

I do not think there is a consensus. It all depends on each patients situation. Some patients are candidates of either FUT or FUE and it is just their personal preference. While other patients are clearly better candidates for one or the other based on their hair loss and characteristics.

The spicier the better. Helps clear out all the toxins along with everything else. Lol

Prolonged pain from FUE transplantation is rare. when it occurs it generally only lasts a week or 2 but as you said in some severe cases can last up to a year. I have heard that some patients who had this condition thought that massaging the scalp regularly did help speed up the recovery.

no worries. !) day post-op the there has been enough healing that of few minutes of a medicated shampoo would be likely to do any harm. Good luck with the results. Remember to be patient because the final results can take up to a year.

I my experience a combination of hair transplants and SMP almost always looks more natural that SMP be itself. However SMP by itself generally looks more natural with darker skin types.

Generally post-op shedding of transplanted hairs occurs in the first 30 days. However, I have seen a few cases of delayed shock. At 9 weeks you might be one of the lucky patients who just do not experience significant shock. Keep thinking positive. You look young and healthy and either way you should end up with an improvement.

I agree to be careful. There are a few very good clinics in Turkey, but many more not so good clinics. I have personally seen several patients who had a procedure in Turkey and were very unhappy and had no desire to fly back there to try and see if the clinic would do anything for them. Sometimes saving some money initially can end up costing you more in the long run. No clinic I know of here in the states can pay the technicians less than $1 per hour and can charge the prices they do in Turkey.

When the hair is cut short like that it can often look a little strange shortly after the procedure. Dr. Hasson does excellent work and I would remain confident that when things are all grown in your hair will look very natural.

I am not familiar with these doctors results. Where you able to meet with either of the doctors. Often when you narrow it down to two doctors it comes down to which personality feels right to you. 

Vitamin E oil alternating with the Aloe Vera also works well.
