  1. Sorry for the late reply. I use minoxidil 5% twice a day 2mm at a time. 1mm for crown and midscalp, 1mm frontal, temples and hairline. Hope this helps.
  2. hey mikie, on the contrary, i have heard that you have a better chance of regrowing hair when propecia and minoxidil used together. if you are referring to initial thinning/shedding phase, that's to be expected. you can buy minoxidil pretty much everywhere; at your local drugstore, internet, walmart, even ebay. there are ample instructions in the package about how to use it. for more information do a quick research at this website, good luck, all the best...
  3. this is the patent data about propecia: http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cder/ob/docs/pate..._No=001&table1=OB_Rx it seems merck has a patent standing as late as nov 05, 2013. By the by, pharmacia and upjohn apparently approved for yet another minoxidil solution under NDF(new dosage form) with an exclusive patent expiring in 2009 and patent expiration in 2019. New dosage form is supposedly aerosol, foam whatever it means. all the best...
  4. well, thanks for kind words y'all. Hey tronxz, I really don't know if i'm growing more or not, at this point it's really hard to tell anything, though i still have small dark hairs coming up around hairline but it seems to me they don't really grow, maybe they will by time. I think technically speaking, as long as the follicule is alive it has a chance to grow back like it used to be provided continuous treatment with propecia, minoxidil etc. By the by most of the hair came back in 2 month period, so I'm thinking I have responded to minoxidil well rather than propecia, because 2 month usage of propecia is really not enough to see any results like this as far as i know. all the best...
  5. I have added some new pictures into gallery after a one-year use of minoxidil and propecia.
  6. I agree with Pat 100%, just don't rush into anything. check out my progress with minoxidil+propecia here. i think you might get amazing results especially if you have lost hair in last 5 years or so.
  7. Thanks for the replies guys. Now i have cut minox half which is only 1ml in the mornings on the front side of my head around hairline and temples. i hope it'd make some reduction on the facial hair though i fear this may have adverse effect on my hairline. i'll keep you posted.
  8. Hey guys, I have been using propecia and minox for 6 months now which i have started them both at the same time. Last couple months I have noticed more and more facial hair growing around my nose and cheeks. I don't know whether that is due minox or both, though I know minox can cause this kinda problem. I'm using minox twice a day almost everyday applying all over my head usually 2 ml at a time. Do you guys think this is too much to use and that's why I'm getting this unwanted hair( how ironic, I'd have loved that hair provided couple inches above)becuase this really started to tick me off. Has anyone experienced the same thing, any remedies or suggestions? Thank you for all the replies in advance. By the way I have greatly benefited from this regimen so far.
  9. Quick question about Dermatch who have used it already. How do you incorporate minoxidil with dermatch in the morning since it takes quite a time for minoxidil to be absorbed into the scalp? Can Dermatch be used right after minoxidil applied? thank you for responses...
  10. Thank you for the responses guys. To your question Robert, I'm not on any kind of medication nor used before. I'm reading about doctors on this forum and I came to the conclusion that if I ever have to get a HT, I'd probably go with either Dr. Limmer or Shapiro. Do you guys think these two doctors are indifferent on their work? My understanding from the various threads here is Shapiro seemed to involve in the operation more than Limmer does. How important is this issue? Should I start looking into doctors' associates also? Thanks for the help...
  11. Hi everyone, I'm planning to get a HT in a couple months. While I continue my research for the right doctor I thought your inputs on my hair loss would speed up the research. Could you please make comments on how many grafts I should get, which technique I should go for FUT vs. FUE etc. All responses are greatly appreciated. Thanks y'all in advance. P.S. I'm 27 years old living in Houston never had a HT.
